Wanna know what you're getting for your birthday?

OLD!!

Too funny... I gave this card to one of my co-workers and yes, he still talks to me! Actually, he loved it! This is a cute stamp I picked up from Rubbernecker Stamp Company. His name is Murry. I love it! Fits him to a tee, don't ya think? I colored Murry with my Prismacolor pencils and used some Color Box chalk ink to sponge around the edges of him. I cut him out using my oval scalloped Nesties and mounted him to the card base with dimensionals. And since he wears glasses, I had to add some Crystal Effects to them. I picked up this DP from my LSS but the company name isn't on it, sorry. I love any paper that looks like Kraft, so I'm always buying single sheets like that. The self adhesive ribbon is from K & Company and matches the DP perfectly. I printed the sentiment on the SU Kraft card base and added some Dew Drops to balance it all out!

Bless your little hiney!!

This is a "Thank You" card for my sister in law. She is the most thoughtful person I know. She is always thinking of others and sending us little gifts. She sure does know the way to my heart, PACKAGES!!!
I LOVE PACKAGES!!
This little stamp is from High Hopes Stamps. I stamped the image on SU Kraft cardstock with my Palette Noir Black ink pad and colored with my Koh-i-noor pencils. If you've never tried Koh-i-noor pencils, you should give them a try. They work beautifully on Kraft cardstock and they're so smooth to color with. The patterned paper is from an old Provo Craft paper pack I bought when I first started making cards, ages ago!! I cut the image and the mat out with my rectangle Nesties and sponged around the edges with my chalk ink. I pierced the edges with my paper piercer and added some twill tape as a ribbon.
Isn't it just ducky??

Supplies;
Rubber Stamp-High Hopes; Koh-i-noor pencils; Nestabilities; Twill Tape; CS-SU Kraft

So dude, how many fingers are you?

Isn't this a cute little blue alien? I found this stamp at Hobby Lobby and it's from Stampabilities. I used my Lyra's to color and matted onto some SU CS in Brocade Blue and I'm not certain of the yellow, it was in my scraps. The patterned paper is from a 6x6 SU Patterns Pack. The grosgrain ribbon is SU Real Red. I printed the sentiment and punched it out with the SU Word Window punch. He's cute isn't he?

Happy Birthday Stacey!

Today is my sister in law, Stacey's birthday and I made this little card for her because she is such an "Angel!"
This stamp is from Art Impressions. I just got them a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to color them. I colored her with my Lyra pencils and added some Stickles to her candles. Her wings are all "sparkly" too! Not sure if the camera picked that up or not but I used Glamour Dust on them and they look so neat IRL. I sponged around the outside with some ColorBox chalk ink and mounted her on to some Chocolate Chip CS from SU. The polka dot and pink paper are from Making Memories Cheeky collection. I used my Martha Stewart border punch on the pink paper and mounted all on to the Chocolate Chip card base. The ribbon was a FREEBEE in one of my orders so I'm not sure of the brand. I like it though. I used an older SU set called Riveting for the "Enjoy Your Day" and mounted it with dimensionals in the corner. I hope you have a GREAT day Stacey!

Happy Monday!
I've decided to try Kristina's Color Inspiration Challenge this week. I really like these colors, don't you?

This little guy is another digital image from Paper Popsicles. His name is Dudley. He's just too cute! I printed Dudley onto some Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select CS and colored with my Copics. The patterned paper is from MM Funky Vintage paper pack. I think it works perfectly with the colors in this challenge.

Ok, be sure to leave a comment below and let me know what you think.
Have a great day!

Summer Is Here!!

Happy 1st day of Summer!
I thought this little stamp would be perfect to welcome in the 1st day of the season. Watermelons just remind me of Summer!
Spit-too-eee!!

Ok, this little stamp is from Maui Cows and I picked it up at my LSS along with this watermeleon seed paper. I don't know the company though, sorry. I matted it on white CS and found two colors of green in my scrap stash to pull off the rind colors and then matted it to black CS. The card base is SU Kraft. I colored him with my Prismacolor pencils and added some reflection to his glasses with my Gelly Roll metallic pen. I finished him off with some SU Real Red ribbon and I believe he's ready to start spittin'! Whatcha think?

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #73

Hi there! Hope you're enjoying your weekend. This is my submission to Taylor's Challenge this week. Actually, this is my first attempt at one of Taylor's sketches but I hope to do many more. This little image is actually a digital image I purchased from Paper Popsicles. I printed the image off and colored with my Copics. I cut the image out using my square Nestibilites and leaving the die in place, sponged around the outside of the image with my ColorBox chalk inks. The paper is from DCWV, The Pets Stack. Super cute paper in this pack if you love dogs and cats, like me. I tied some ribbon, added a little button, and that about does it. Leave a comment below and let me know what you think!

Smell the Aroma!

Hi there! Today is my daughter's friend, Alicia's birthday. They both LOVE to go to Starbucks and chat so I thought this was the PERFECT card for her. I made an accordian fold inside, then punched the top of the fold with the SU Word Window punch and made a perfect little pocket for the Starbuck's gift card. She's gonna love it, oh and maybe the card too! (he-he) This cute little coffee cup is from There She Goes stamps. I paper pieced the stamped image with white CS and some paper from a SU 6x6 paper pad and added a little shading with my Copics. I printed the sentiment on the computer and finished it off by wrapping some twine around the card base and adding a button.
Here's the inside

Ah, stop your crying...

Nurses sure do put up with a LOT of crying and whining don't they? Whew! I don't know how they do it but aren't we blessed to have them? I made this card for Nurses Day last month and I just love this lady, don't you? Her name is Nurse Stella and she's from I Brake for Stamps. You've gotta check out their Humerous Seniors line! I colored the image with my Lyra's and then sponged around the outter edge with some chalk ink. I cut her out using my oval Nesties and mounted the matted image on some paper from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey collection. I applied some Crystal Effects to her glasses for a little added shine. I used one of Martha Stewart's border punches on a coordinating piece of paper from the same BG collection and finished it off with some ribbon I picked up at Michaels.

Have a birthday like no other....

SOBER!!! Ha, I just love that! This is a great Inky Antics stamp. It's just SO fun to color! I made this card for a friend at work and she had a fit over it. I can't remember the brand of DP but the CS and grosgrain ribbon are SU Real Red. I colored the image with my Lyra pencils and outlined it with a fine Micron pen. I matted it onto SU Real Red CS that I cut and embossed with my Nesties. Next, I added some Dew Drops to the right edge and used the SU horizontal slot punch on the image so I could thread the ribbon through. This is a great way to allow more of your ribbon to show. I printed the sentiment and punched it out using the SU word window punch. I added some Stickles to the bubbles and that about finishes it up!

Supplies:
Rubber Stamp-Inky Antics; Lyra Pencils; Nestabilities; CS-SU Real Red; Dew Drops-The Robbin's Nest; Ribbon-SU Real Red; Stickles; Punches-SU Word Window & Horizontal Slot

If you like "old people" stamps too, you've gotta check out their "Golden Oldies" collection. Love 'em!! I stamped the image using my Palette Noir Black ink pad and colored with my Lyra pencils. I matted the image onto Making Memories Cheeky Collection DP and then onto SU Chocolate Chip CS. I stitched the matted image and then mounted to an SU Kraft card base that I ran through my printer for the sentiment. This was an anniversary card for my Aunt and Uncle and they loved it. Sugar Nellie Sweet!

Hi and Happy Wednesday!! I saw this little Sugar Nellie stamp used so many times and I thought it was cute BUT when I saw Lori Craig use it on this card, Just for Fun, I HAD to have it so I could make this card too! I told you she was talented. (The design work is all Lori's and she has approved for me to post my version. She even told me my card was "darling". How cool is that?) I colored the image with my Lyra pencils and used dimensionals to pop up the birds, the awning and the little girl. I substituted the wooden flower with a felt flower and added a little SU button on top. It's finished off with some pink ribbon and well, I just LOVE IT!!

Being Crotchety Is Fun!

Woo-hoo!! Look at her go! This stamp is from I Brake for Stamps. Her name is Cowgirl Aunt Mae. Is she a hoot or what? I stamped her onto SU Kraft CS and colored her with my Lyra pencils. I added a bit of sparkle to her belt buckle and glasses with my Gelly Roll metallic pen and used an Inkssentials white gel pen to add some interest to her hat and bandana. (You can click on the image for a closer look) I cut and embossed the image and the mat using both the Classic and Scalloped rectangle Nesties. The Basic Grey DP is from the Boxer collection and I found this denim paper at my LSS. All of which is mounted to the SU Kraft card base. I finished with a Martha Stewart border punch and some ribbon.

Calling All Angels!

Happy Monday everyone! Isn't this a sweet image? I just love this little set called Calling All Angels from H&M Stamps. I purchased this when Heather had them on clearance and I don't believe it's available any longer. Although Heather has other awesome sets so definitely go take a look. I colored her with my Lyra pencils and added some bling to her wings with Glamour Dust. Love that stuff! I cut out the image and embossed with my oval Nesties (both Classic and Scalloped) and mounted with SU dimensionals. The DP is from DCWV, the Garden Party matstack and the CS is from SU. Both are punched with the Doily Lace Martha Stewart border punch. I added some satin ribbon and finished with bow! Cute, cute, cute!!

Night Light!

Happy Saturday to everyone!
This layout is from Lori Craig's weekend Sketch Challenge 83. If you've never been to Lori's blog, "Make a Difference" you've got to hop on over and take a look. She's SO talented.
This little stamp is part of the October Afternoon set called, Night Light. Since this card is for a little boy's birthday, I thought this little guy needed to be holding a birthday present. So, I masked the little monster and then stamped the present separately. The present is from an older Stampendous Fluffles set. I colored this little guy with my Copics and sponged around the outside with some chalk ink. I added some Stickles to the present ribbon for some glitter and added some google eyes too. Kinda fits with the whole Monster theme, huh? I finished it off with some gingham ribbon and that about does it!

Supplies:
Stamp-October Afternoon "Night Light"; Copics; Nestabilties; ColorBox Chalk Ink, DP-My Minds Eye "Bloom & Grow"; Brads; Ribbon

With Age Comes Skills, It's Called Multi-Tasking...

Do you not just LOVE this old guy?? Oh my gosh, he's the BEST! If you follow my blog long enough, you'll soon realize, old people stamps are my favs!! This old guy is from the Gina K set called, "Tickle Your Funny Bone". I can't remember where I read this sentiment but the inside reads, "..you can sneeze, cough, fart and pee all at the same time!" Man, I can't stop laughing each time I read that! I printed the sentiment and then stamped the image above. I colored him with my Lyra pencils and then cut the image out and embossed the edges using my rectangle Nesties. I sponged around the image with the Nestie in place. I then mounted the matted image to some scrap DP at an angle and finished with some polka dot grosgrain ribbon. TADA! Have a great weekend!!

Birthdays are like an OUTHOUSE...

....you gotta have them but they usually STINK! This card was for my Brother in Law's birthday and he loved it! I bought this stamp, from Stamps by Judith, at my LSS. I colored the outhouse with my Lyra pencils and matted the image with SU cardstock. I added the little copper brads and then mounted with SU dimensionals. I love Basic Grey paper and this is from their Marrakech collection. The sentiment is computer generated and last but not least, I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder to add a little texture behind the image. Have a great Friday!

Bluebirds of Happiness

Happy Thursday everyone! Aren't these little birds sweet? This stamp is from the Kim Hughes collection, "The Birds and the Bees" available at Cornish Heritage Farms. I colored these little lovebirds with my Lyra pencils and added some Stickles to the heart above them to add some sparkle. I stitched around the edges of this Heidi Grace DP. Isn't it cute? I found it at my local JoAnn's. I double matted it to SU Chocolate Chip and again to a coordinating piece of DP from the same Heidi Grace Collection. The sentiment was computer generated and was to serve as an anniversary card and moving to a new home card, all in one. Hence, the phrase "New Nest too!" Pretty clever, huh?

No, I Can't Hold It Any Longer!!

This is my first blog posting. I have spent numerous hours (my husband would say, more like years!) blog hopping (blurfing, I think it's called) and after some encouragement from my friends and family, I've finally decided to do my own blog. I am quite the novice, so please be patient with me. It'll take me awhile to learn how all this is done.

Ok, now on to my first card.
This is a little stamp I bought a few months back from Eat Cake Graphics. I thought he was just the cutest thing. The name of the stamp is Little Boy in Front of Bathroom Door. Simple enough, huh? The DP is Basic Grey, Ambrosia. I colored him with my Lyra colored pencils and the speech balloon and words were done on my computer and then just cut out. I sponged the edges with ColorBox Fluid Chalk ink and mounted on SU Chocolate Chip cs that was cut and embossed with my Spellbinder Nestabilities, classic scalloped rectangle. Ok, I think that about covers it. Have a great day!
