Happy Friday everyone!! Yay!!! This is my submission to StampingBella's Bellarific Sketch Challenge. Isn't Stella the BESTEST?? Remember my Christmas challenge to myself? I bet you thought I forgot. Nope, I'm still trying to keep up with my goal of one Christmas card per week. This is card #5, YAY!! I know, I know, I've got a LOOOOONNNNGGGGG way to go, but it's a start.
Isn't this paper pretty? It's from K & Company and it's got this really pretty sheen to it. I'm regretting only picking up one sheet now. I matted it with some Bazzil Bling cardstock and stitched around the edges. The card base in SU Very Vanilla and I stamped Stella on the same. She's colored with my Copics and I added a little Glamour Dust to her crown and wand. In true Bella language, "SHE'S DA BOMB!" Ok, I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend and maybe I'll have some pics to show you from CHA in Orlando, FL. I'm so excited about going! Look out, here I come!!!
Supplies:
Rubber Stamp: Stamping Bella "Stella needs a prezzie"; Copics; DP-K& Company; CS-SU Very Vanilla, Bazzil Bling; Punches-SU Oval and Scalloped Oval, Fiskars Apron Lace Border; Ribbon

Happy Birthday Sis!
Today is my sister's birthday! She just loves mice, so any time I find a stamp with mice, I always snatch it up!
This little guy is from Whiff of Joy and I got him over at All that Scraps. I colored him with my Copics and shaded the background with my Lyras. I cut and embossed both the image and the mat with my Nesties. The DP is from Basic Grey's Cupcake line and both the ribbon and card base are Stampin Up. Oh, and I added a little glitter to the candle flame just to add some glitz for my sis!
Leave a comment below and let me know whatcha think. Have a great day!

Sorry, I guess I can't fix OLD!!
Ok, so here's another Digi Shack image I colored up. As soon as I saw her this is what popped into my head. My girlfriend is turning 50 soon so I thought this was PERFECT! Don't you want ME for a friend? Ha! Kinda like a bad cold, huh? Nothing mushy or sappy from this gal! It's fun, funny and funnier for me. Ok, I do occasionally make a few NICE ones but only for those who don't take to teasin' very well. Lemme tell ya, I've had a few of those and learned my lesson for future cards. Ouch! As for me, well I just LOVEEEEE my birthday! I don't care if I'm turning 90, I'm still gonna love it. I'm a BIG kid about it too! Lot's of presents and it lasts all week long!! YIPPPEEE!
I colored my little fairy godmother with my Copics and shaded with my Lyras. The card base is the new IN COLOR from Stampin Up called Soft Suede. I paired it with some A2Z patterend paper and stitched around the edges. I matted her with some scrap red paper that I punched with an EK Success border punch on one side and stitched around the edges of this piece as well. I tied a bow with some SU taffeta ribbon and wrapped some twine around it and tied it off with a button on top. Oh, and to add a little bling to 'ol granny, I gussied her up with lots Glamour Dust on her wings. You can click on the image and see her all sparkly!! That's about it! Leave me a comment below and I hope you have a GREAT day!

Another "dog"gone birthday...
It's Monday.... yeah, phoooee right? I hope you had a good weekend. I didn't do much, too hot here in Florida. We did go to my Mom and Dad's for a BBQ on Saturday though. That's always fun. My whole family shows up so there's lots of people all gabbing and laughing, and the kids play in my parent's backyard. Oh, and not to mention the EATING. Whew! I still feel like a tick! {He-he!} You know I had to throw in some dog humor.
On Sunday after church I stayed in my craft room and made a few cards. This one is for my cousin's birthday. This image is from The Digi Shack and he just makes me laugh with those googly eyes. I printed the image and colored him with my Copics, although I did shade around the edges with my Lyras. The Lyras just give a little more softer look for shading I think. I used my rectangle Nesties to cut and emboss the image piece and the scalloped mat. The card base in SU Chocolate Chip and the patterned paper is from October Afternoon. This is from the Weathervane collection. The reverse side of this paper is POLKA DOTS!! Too cute! Ummm, did I mention I was a paper freak? I punched two flowers from white cardstock using my Marvy flower punch and matted them to a SU Chocolate Chip square that I punched with my SU Ticket Punch. I then punched two holes and used two orange brads for the flower centers. I was trying to match the flowers in the paper. I finished the card off with some ribbon I picked up at Walmart. There you have it. I hope you have a great day!
Supplies:

Sweet Lil' Cuppy
Happy Saturday to you all! Isn't this a cute little stamp? The set is called Cuppy Love and it's from Stamps and Smiles. They have such cute stamps, just perfect for the CUPCAKE lover!!
I just received my new Melon Mambo ribbon from Stampin Up and had to try it out. It matches really well with the Bella Blvd paper. I'm in LOVE with this paper with those BIG 'ol cupcakes all lined up. Super cute and such bright birthday colors. This is a super easy card. Just a 5 x 5 card base made from SU Chocolate Chip with the Bella Blvd papers layered on top. I stamped the image with Momento Tuxedo Black and colored with my Copics. I used my Lyra pencils for some shading around Cuppy and cut her out with my circle Nestie. I did use a piece of vellum behind the Scalloped Nestie cut from the same coordinating paper just to make the image POP from the paper. And to add a little sparkle, I added some glitter to the sprinkles and the cherry on top. Have a great day!

You'z Mine - All Mine!!
Happy 26th Anniversary to my hubby!
I made this card for my DH and I just LOVE how it turned out.
This little stamp in from Eat Cake Graphics. I colored the image with my Copics and added some Crystal Effects for his glasses. Love her polka dotted dress. (I think her butt's as big as mine!) I cut out the image with my oval Nesties and matted onto some SU Basic Black CS cut and embossed with my scalloped oval Nesties. The DP is from Basic Grey's Bittersweet line. The sentiment was computer generated and the card base is SU Kraft, my "go to" favorite CS!! Dont' forget to leave a comment below. Have a great day!

I miss my hugs...
This is a little card I made for a friend of mine who is going through some very serious health problems. I met her at my church and she is just the SWEETEST person ever! Even though we both live in a small town (where everyone knows everyone) we had never met before. Since my very first visit to our church, and every Sunday since, she makes a point to find me and give me a hug. Since her illness began, she hasn't been coming and hence this post's title - "I miss my hugs".
Soooooo, I decided to send her a hug in the mail, to brighten her day and to let her know I'm thinking of her. This is an Inky Antics stamp that I stamped onto some SU Very Vanilla CS and colored with my Lyras. I matted the image with a scrap piece of rust colored CS and used some SU Creamy Caramel that I cut and embossed with my Scalloped Nesties. I used my Martha Stewart border punch on a coordinating piece of patterned paper and another piece of SU Very Vanilla. I finished the card with two ribbons, a vanilla colored satin and a sheer. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think. Have a GREAT Wednesday!

Phyllis... Oh, Phyllis!!!
Isn't this how you feel sometimes?? I made this card for the woman who works in my husband's office. She has to deal with about a dozen men!! Oh my gosh, don't you feel sorry for her? I can't imagine what she goes through on a daily basis. (You know, we have to help them do everything, right?) Hmmm, what would they do without us? Anyway, I made this card for her and she loved it.
This is another Art Impressions stamp called Madge. She's great isn't she? I stamped her onto some SU Very Vanilla CS and colored her with my Lyra colored pencils. I matted her onto some SU Chocolate Chip CS and stitched around the edges with my sewing machine. The DP is from Making Memories, Chloe's Closet paper pad. I printed the sentiments onto some white CS and punched them out with my Marvy Super Jumbo Oval Balloon Bubble and outlined them by hand to give them some definition. I also drew some additional little bubbles running off the edge of the page and used my white gel pen to fill them in. I added some brown brads and matted the DP with some SU Chocolate Chip before I stitched around the outer edge and mounted to the SU Really Rust card base. Whew, I feel like Phyllis!! Ok, be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you think. Have a super duper Tuesday!

World's Greatest Marshmallow Roaster!
This card is for my little nephew Andrew's birthday! My family is BIG on camping, and Andrew is BIG on marshmallows! Each time we camp, Andrew has to do ALL the marshmallow roasting. He is so cute! Of course, each of us wants ours roasted differently so he has to roast them to order!! Ha! We keep him busy. Me, I like mine just starting to turn that toasty brown. Yum!!! I'm getting hungry just thinking about them.
These stamps are from the Cat's Pajamas' set called, Happy Camper! It has lots of images in the set and they are so cute. I masked the squirrel and stamped the trees in the background as well as their little hands for the marshmallow stick. I colored the images with my Copics and sponged a little around the edges with my chalk inks. The paper is from Die Cuts With a View "Safari Kids" and I added some Glamour Dust to the campfire. It really looks like the fire is moving when you see it IRL. I printed the sentiment using my computer and finished it off with a couple of brads and a button.

A Home for Robbie....
Can you tell I'm really liking this Basic Grey Figgy collection? I think it's SO pretty. This is Christmas card #4 for those of you keeping track!! Woo-hoo!!
I just received this little stamp in my last Whipper Snapper order. It's from their new Fall/Winter 2009 collection. I stamped the image in Momento Black Tuxedo and colored with my Lyra pencils. I added a little Glamour Dust to the snow on the birdhouse roof and to the base of the pole to give the snow some shimmer. I also used some red Liquid Pearls for the holly berries. I matted the image with some brown Bazzil CS that I punched with my Martha Stewart border punch. I used the same punch on the edge of the image as well. I think it added a nice look with them overlapping each other a bit. I printed the sentiment and punched it out with my SU Large Oval punch and then matted it with the brown Bazzil punched with the SU Scalloped Oval, with dimenstionals in between both layers. I stitched around the edges and added some polka dot ribbon to complete the look. It's a cute little country look, don't ya think? Leave a comment and let me know what you think of #4. Have a great day!
Supplies:

Whoa! Where'd this rash come from?
Doesn't it look like that's what he's saying? As soon as I saw this image over at "the Digi Shack" I thought, "oh my gosh, he's hilarious!" I don't have many digital images, maybe a dozen or so but they have some really cute ones over at the Digi Shack. The cool thing about a digital image is you can print them at whatever size you need. Very versatile and easy peasy to use. I was a little concerned that the image may smear while I colored it, but it didn't, so I was good to go. Yay!!
I printed this little guy on an 8.5x11 piece of SU Kraft CS and made a tri fold card with it. I have to admit, it took several tries on copy paper to get the sentiment aligned with the image and then to print another sentiment on the center fold inside. But after a few measurements and test pages, it turned out perfect. I colored him with my Lyra pencils and trimed an inch or so off the top and bottom of the front flap so the patterned paper on the second flap would show behind him. The patterned paper is from Fancy Pants' Kraft Kuts line. You remember how much I like kraft paper, right? LOVE it!! I finished by wrapping some ribbon around the card, making two slits in the front to thread it through, and tied it closed. Whoa! I just love it, don't you? Hope you have a great day!

Thank you Chef George!
This is a thank you card for George, who made my birthday cake this year! And boy was it YUMMY! He just loves to cook, so I say, "have at it", I'll eat all the samples you want to dish out. {he-he}
Ya know, I hardly ever pull this stamp set out but I really do like it. This guy is SO much fun to color. This set is from Stampin Up and it's called Voila! I stamped Mr. Cheffy on some SU Kraft CS and then again onto white CS. I colored the top half of the image on the white CS with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and cut it out. I then paper pieced the colored image onto the image I stamped earlier on SU Kraft. The patterned paper is from DCWV Garden Party and I paper pieced his pants with a coordinating piece of patterned paper from the same collection. I stitched around the edge of the matted image and tied some brown ribbon from Martha Stewart around the card base and through the slot I made in the image with my SU slot punch. I added a little shading at his feet and some highlights around the image directly on the Kraft piece to make the image POP! Lastly, using my Micron pen, I wrote George on his jacket to personalize the card a bit and "Voila," it's a masterpiece!! Have a GREAT day!

Have a Rootin' Tootin' Merry Christmas!!
Am I gettin' ya in the spirit yet??? For those of you keeping track, this is card #3. I absolutely LOVE this stamp!! As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to order it. I live in a REALLY small town and our community is BIG on rodeos, so this image is just perfect for one of my Christmas cards.
This is another Whipper Snapper image that I stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black and colored with my Lyra pencils. He's just too "purdee" ain't he? Oh, and I have to tell you about the great deal I got today!! I picked up this box of 5.5x5.5 cards at Michaels on the clearance aisle for $3.97!! Oh, how I do LOVE "Clarence". Next to my hubby, he's my favorite man!! No matter what store I go in to, I always look for him and sure enough, there's an aisle named after him. {he-he} These square cards are from We R Memory Keepers and came in this cute little box. There are 5 patterns, two of each, and they have matching envelopes too. I picked up the Kitchen collection and they coordinate perfectly with my new Basic Grey Figgy patterned paper. Now how cool is that? Ok ok, back to the card... I added some Diamond Dust to the base of my little snowman and stitched around the edges of the matted image and the matted patterned paper. I punched a slot to thread my ribbon through and that finished up my little rodeo snowman! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of him. Have a great day!

Whooo's another year older?
I am such a sucker for CUTE paper! I mean, is this just not the cutest paper ever? And then no more did I pick up this paper, when right around the corner was this little stamp. I picked it up and thought, "ah, you've got too many owl stamps" and put it back. Then, as I'm standing in the checkout line my mind starts thinking, "that sure was an awful cute owl" and then the ritual begins.... anxiety starts to set in and I can't stand it any longer... I just HAVE TO HAVE IT!! So out of line I go, and run back to get it. Like a mad woman, I'm rushing back down the aisles {as if there is an army of people headed for the same stamp}. Good grief, am I a dork or what?? {but hey, I sure am glad I did, she really IS cute isn't she?}
Ok, enough about my shopping fits and on to the card. I stamped her with my ColorBox chalk inks and then paper pieced her wings and eyes. I used my Copics for her beak and belly dots and added some shading with my Lyras. I just love my Inverted Scalloped Circle Nesties. When paired with the Classic Scalloped Circle it looks like ric-rak. I think it's such a neat look. The card base is SU Chocolate Chip and the pink CS is from Bazzil. Hoot-hoot!!

Hoot-hoot!!

Brrrrrr....
I wish I was where this little guy is, cuz it sure ain't cold here... Oh well, I can still wish, can't I? If you're keeping up with my count, this is Christmas card #2!! So far, so good. I love it when a plan comes together! I think I can, I think I can..... Actually, I'm ahead of myself but that's ok. Last year I made close to 50 cards (all different mind you) and I was spending every weekend in October and November locked up in my craft room pumping out cards!! Of course now that I'm thinking about it, that's not really a bad thing, now is it? But I have to say, I don't like the stress of waiting until the last minute to do anything. I kinda get freaked out. I like to have everything all done and then I can sit back and enjoy the holidays. *grin*
This little bundled up cutie pie is from Whipper Snapper and I colored him with my Copics. I paper pieced his scarf with the same patterned paper as the background. It's from the Basic Grey Figgy collection. I matted the image and the patterned paper with SU Cool Carribean CS and used my Fiskars Apron lace border punch to make some fancy trim for the bottom of the card. I punched the snowflake and then added some sparkle to make it look cold. Finally, I added a brad to the top of his little beanie hat and also to the center of the snowflake and then finished it off with a button and bow. I just want to poke his little belly and hear him giggle, don't you? Have a great day!
Supplies:
Rubber Stamp-Whipper Snapper; Copics; CS-SU Cool Carribean; DP-Basic Grey Figgy; Punches-Marvy Snowflake, Fiskars Apron Lace; Ribbon-SU; Button; Brads

It's Christmas in July!!
Jingle, Jingle, Jingle.... you will hear my sleigh bells ring....
{Can't you just hear Burl Ives singing this?}
Ok, it's a little hard for me to get in the spirit too since it's only a mere 100+ degrees outside, but I'm trying. I promised myself this year that I would start on my Christmas cards early. I thought if I could at least make one per week that would put a BIG dent in them by November. Now let's see if I stick with my plan....
Ok, so as I'm rummaging through my collection of stamps and came across this one, a big grin came across my face and I couldn't help but start laughing. I had forgotten about buying it. Tell me I'm not the only one who forgets what stamps they have??? Anyhoo, I pulled out this DP from Creative Imaginations and colored her to match with my Copics. Is she a hoot or what? This is a REALLY tall stamp so the card base is 4x8, but ya know, I sort of like it to tell you the truth. I'm so used to making the A2 size, this was kinda neat. The card base is SU Real Red and the ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. Ok, let me know what you think of my 1st Christmas card! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.... oh pleeeeeeease!

Be nice to me...
Happy Thursday!! Woo-hoo, the weekend is almost here! This is another card I had made for Nurse's Day in May.
This stamp is from Art Impressions and boy she sure looks mean, doesn't she? I bet when she says, "drop 'em" she means business, huh? (he-he) I stamped the image on SU Very Vanilla cardstock and colored her with my Lyras. I punched the edges with my EK Success border punch and matted on to some Basic Grey paper from their Cupcake collection. The card base is SU Real Red and the ribbon is SU Striped Grosgrain in Pacific Point. I finished it off with a funny little sentiment printed off on some scrap SU Very Vanilla CS. Ok, that about does it for me, leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Have a great day!

Oh, kwitcherbitchen...
Ok, now tell me you aren't fallin' on the floor laughing your head off???
Check out this lady's face. It's classic!!
This is a slider card and pulls out from the right side, using the ribbon. These are fun to make and totally throws the recipient off when the ribbon looks as if it's getting longer as it's being pulled out with the card. Pretty cool! Next time I make one, I'll have to take a photo with the card extended. Of course the card base is SU Kraft, my super duper favorite CS, and the DP is from my LSS. I was in a bit of a hurry when I made this and decided to draw the stitching on rather than use my sewing machine. I was trying to match the stitching in the paper. The CS mat is SU Chocolate Chip and the ribbon is from Michaels. I stamped this image from Art Impressions with my Palette Black Noir ink pad and colored with my Prismacolor markers. I added some Stickles to the candles and also added some Crystal Effects to both of their glasses to look like lenses. The sentiment was done on my computer and I punched it out with my Marvy Super Jumbo Quotation Balloon punch. Look out, she's gonna blow!!!
Now who's up for a piece of cake?? {me, me, me, me, me, me, me!!}

Happy 4th of July!
Happy Independence Day! I hope you all have wonderful plans for this weekend! It sure is a hot one here in Florida! We're planning a BBQ over at my Mom & Dad's with the whole family so that ought to be fun (and yummy of course).
Isn't this chicken the BEST? Oh, how I do love farm animal stamps! This stamp is from Whipper Snapper, another one of my favorite companies and Anna Wight is one of their illustrators. She is AWESOME!! If you like farm animals, you gotta check out her sets.
I made nine (yup-that's right, nine), of these little cards to send out to my family for the holiday. I send out cards for just about every holiday. Of course, they all know the drill.. NEVER and I mean NEVER would they even think of throwing away one of my masterpieces, so they PROUDLY display them when I visit their homes. {grin} My family is the best, they do know how to flatter me (not to mention stay alive). I colored my little patriotic chicken with my Copics and stitched around the outside. The DP is from Kaiser Crafts and the card base is SU Kraft. I tied some ribbon into a bow and added a button threaded with twine to the center. I stamped a few images on white cardstock as well as some on Kraft. I couldn't make up my mind which one I liked best so I used both! Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!!

Happy 50th Anniversary!
Isn't this a cute little wedding couple? I was trying to achieve a vintage look with this card, like an old photo on a wall. I picked this patterned paper from an older Paper Pizazz vintage paper pad because the striped paper sort of reminded me of "wainscoting".
This little stamp is from Rubbernecker Stamp Company and is actually quite large with their full bodies. However, I just used their faces since I wanted a smaller image for my card. I stamped the image on to SU Very Vanilla cardstock and I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils. I cut the image out using my oval Nesties and also cut a piece of transparency and adhered it on top so it resembled glass on a picture frame. I matted both onto a dark blue piece of cardstock cut and embossed with my scalloped oval Nesties. I added some sparkle to the bride with some Stickles on her headband and flowers, and then added some ribbon with a buckle as an accent. I matted the DP to another piece of dark blue cardstock and adhered it all to the SU Very Vanilla card base. Have a great day!
