Mornin' hens! I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a terrific one, and I never even left the house! LOL! I spent the whole weekend in "the coop". Yippee!! I made four cards, and even made gift tags for the baby shower favors. Man, I could get use to this. Retirement is callin' my name!! Love, love, love crafting weekends! Ok, so first up is my dad's Father's Day card. I ordered this image several months ago because once I saw it, I knew I wanted it for Father's Day. It's me! I even added a few freckles to her cheeks! Just like me!! {{{snort!}}}
I stamped this image onto some Canson watercolor paper and watercolored it with distress markers. I adhered the panel to some patterned paper and then stitched both to the scalloped vellum panel underneath. Then I adhered it to the card base, stamped the sentiment, and added those SUPER DUPER fabulous "homemade" enamel dots!! Well, they're not enamel but they're still cool. Alison from The Alley Way Stamps made this video on how to make your own, so I gave it a try. I must say, it did take the better part of a day, but I won't need to buy dots again for as long as I live!! LOL! I put a link below to the beads I bought and this container has a ton of great colors.
Okee dokee, that's it for me today. I hope you hens have a great day and I'll see ya back in the hen house real soon. {{{hen hugs}}}
