Happy Birthday to Ewe!!

Mornin' hens!  Yup, still cranking out birthday cards for September!!  LOL!  Oh but I do LOVE making cards for my friends and family!  This little cutie is for my niece Patty.  I know she's gonna love it.

I started by die cutting the DP for the background using this cute scalloped frame die.  I LOVE this die!  It makes the perfect background for cards, and the scallops add that little touch of sweetness!  Ok, so then I embossed a piece of SU Very Vanilla CS with this Sizzix embossing folder because I thought the texture reminded me of sheep's wool! LOL!  Next, I die cut the embossed panel with a stitched frame die and cut a stitched tag too!

I stamped the image onto the tag and also onto a piece of white cardstock.  I colored the image with my Copics and fussy cut it out.  I colored the grass with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol and adhered the image with some foam tape.  To finish, I added some organza ribbon to the tag, and some puffy white paint for the wool on the sheep. Ain't she cute?  Okee dokee, you hens have a great day and come baaaaaaack soon!  {snort!}  {{{hen hugs}}}

Jaxon is HERE!!

Mornin' hens!!  I'd like you to meet my grandson Jaxon!!
OMG, I'm on cloud nine!  Smiley  Isn't he GORGEOUS!!
Jaxon weighed 10lbs 10oz... and was 22 3/4" long.
Yup, skip that newborn stuff, he's already wearing 3 month clothes!!  LOL!

And just look at those cheeks!!  I could smooch them all day long!!

This is the photo of him in his "going home" outfit that Grandmommy Jeanie had made for him.
{{{swoon}}}

I just had to snap this one of him blowing bubbles... tee-hee

He loves looking at himself.  Me too!!  LOL!

OMG, look at that face...  Mwah!!

Lil' Chick received these onesies as a shower gift.
There's one for each month, through a year old...  Cool huh?

Oh and I had to show you this one of Jaxon puckering up for Grandmommy and wearing the onesie I made him.  Awwww....
Lil' Chick and Daddy are doing GREAT!  They are AWESOME parents and dote on him 24/7!  I'm so proud of them.  What a wonderful family they are.  God has truly blessed me, my cup runneth over!
Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  Just wanted to share the wonderful news with you.

Happy Birthday Doug!

Mornin' hens!  Today is my son in law's birthday!  He says "holler" all the time, so when I saw this stamp I knew I wanted to use it for his card this year.  Have I mentioned how much I loooooooooove my SIL?   Honestly, Lil' Chick sure did pick a WINNER!  Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!  Tee-hee!

Ok, so to start I stamped my little farmer and chick images, colored them with my Copics, and fussy cut them out.  Next, I stamped the speech bubble, and then the sentiment inside, and cut the speech bubble out using the coordinating die.  I die cut the clouds from some blue cardstock and the hill line from green cardstock.  Then placing the green CS on top of the blue CS, lining up where I wanted the hill to start, I placed the stitched rectangle die on top and cut them both out leaving that great stitched edge!  I adhered the panels to the white card base with foam tape and then used my Prismacolor marker to draw a thin black line around the panel.

To finish, I adhered the speech bubble and images with a few foam dimensionals and there ya have it!  Ain't it purty? Okee dokee, that's it for me today!  Hope you have a GREAT day!  {{{hen hugs}}}
  Happy Birthday Doug!!
