I SEE you have a birthday on the horizon...

Mornin' hens!
Here's a little card I made for my brother in law Mike.  He's got a great sense of humor and enjoys   receiving my funny cards.

I began my card by stamping the image onto some Neenah 100lb coverstock and then colored it with my Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  I printed the sentiment below the image using my printer and then added some washi tape across the bottom.  To finish, I rounded two opposite corners (I love this look) and added a few green sticker dots I found at Dollar Tree to the bottom.  Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  I hope you hens have a MAH-VELOUS Monday!  {{{ hen hugs}}}

I love my Grand Dog!

Mornin' hens!
Here's a little birthday card I made for my Grand Dog Lily!  Little Chick has two fur babies so I have to make sure I don't forget them each year too!  Lily is a Malti-Poo and she's SO suh-weet!  She stays with Grandmommy occasionally and I love to spoil her rotten!

To begin this CleanAndSimple card, I first stamped the paw print several times to resemble tracks, then I stamped the image, and finally the sentiment.  Next, I added some shading using my colored pencils and then filled in the white using my Gelly Roll white pen.  To finish, I rounded two opposite corners and tied on some baker's twine.  Okee dokee, that's it for me today!  I hope you hens have a MAH-VELOUS Monday!  {{{hen hugs}}}

Dump!

Mornin' hens!
This is Jaxon's FAVORITE new word, "DUMP"  {{LOL}}
OMG, he cracks me up!  Anytime he sees a truck of any kind... he points and says "DUMP"
So, when his "half" birthday rolled around, you know what kinda card Grandmommy had to make him right?  Oh yeah, a DUMP card!!

OMG, ain't it a hoot?  I just love how it turned out.  Needless to say, he did too!  Yay!
And this is a "no stamping" card too.  I found the tutorial and template HERE.  It's super simple too!  I printed the template on cardstock, cut them out, and then traced the pieces onto the yellow and gold cardstock.  I freehand cut the dirt out of brown cardstock.  Then I sponged some distress ink around the edges of each piece.  Oh, and the tires are made using the Stampin Up scalloped punch and then you just cut the scallops off.  How clever is that??  Next, I found a picture of Jaxon that I thought would fit the look "like he's looking out the driver's window" and then printed it in a reduced size using my printer. I also printed the title on the truck, and sentiment on the card using my printer.  To finish, I rounded the bottom corners of the card and then drew some white stitched lines around the edges.  Okee dokee, that's it for me today!  I hope you hens have a MAH-VELOUS Monday!  {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy Birthday Dad!

Mornin' hens!
Today is my dad's 81st birthday!  Woot-woot!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!
Well you hens know how much I LUV cute stamps, so when I stumbled across this adorable CHICKEN stamp in my stash, well say no more...  I HAD to use it!!

I know he'll love it, cuz' he loves all the cards that I make for him.  Psssst!  I think his opinion might be a bit one-sided!  {{{snort}}}  Hey, that's what FAMILY is for, right?
Ok, so the coloring on this image took some time, but the design was easy peasy.  Just a thin black mat behind the image and another behind the DP.  Once I colored the image, I ran it through my printer and added the sentiment on the top left.  Then to finish, I added some Stickles to the flames, a few home-made black enamel dots, and some baker's twine around the bottom.  Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  I hope you hens have a MAH-VELOUS Monday!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Lil' Chick!

Mornin' hens!
Today is Lil' Chick's half birthday.  Ya know I have to make her a card for EVERY occasion right?  Yup, she's got her momma wrapped around her finger.  Tee-hee!  Wouldn't have it any other way.

Ok, so I stamped the little image on the bottom right corner and masked off the balloon the owl was holding.  I wanted a dimensional card so I decided to die cut this big balloon and then just extended the string from the owl's wing and attached it to the bottom of the die cut balloon.  I backed the opening with some grey cardstock that I also die cut the words "happy birthday" from and inlaid red cardstock where the letters were.  I drew little black circles and filled each with a white gel pen to coordinate with the present.  To finish, I added some shading to the balloon, and few sequins for a fun confetti look.  Okee dokee, that's it for me today!  I hope you hens have a FABULOUS Friday!  {{{hen hugs}}}
