April Showers...

...of love, that is!  Mornin' hens!  How cute is this card?  This is Jaxon's 7 month birthday card.  Since this card is for April, I wanted to incorporate April showers and Easter, and this is what I came up with.  I just love it!

I began by stamping the bunny onto some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and colored him with colored pencils.  If you've never tried coloring on kraft cardstock with pencils, you have to give it a try.  It's really fun and easy too!  Of course, I had to add a little pink puffy tail with some puff paint just for fun!  {{{Snort}}}  Then, using my NEW MISTI stamp tool (BTW - I love this thing!), I was able to position the umbrella perfectly over his head.  I wanted the hearts to appear to be falling from under the umbrella and on top of the bunny.   I couldn't resist having one of the hearts bounce off the bunnies' head.  Too cute!  Ok, so then I paper pieced the umbrella and adhered it with some foam tape and stamped the sentiment along the edge.  For the background, I matted the patterned paper from the American Crafts Everyday collection with black cardstock and adhered it to the card base.  I added some distress ink around the edges of each panel and finished with a little sparkle from my Wink of Stella glitter pen on the hearts.  Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  I hope you hens have a great day!  {{{hen hugs}}}
