Baby it's COLD outside!

NOT!!! Pfffft!! It's SO STINKIN HOT here in Florida it's not funny! Come on Fall, hurry up already!! LOL!

Today's Bellarific Friday challenge was Christmas in July! So, I decided to ink up Lulu's Snowman from Stamping Bella! Isn't she a CUTIE? I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. The DP is from an older Basic Grey Figgy Pudding collection. I paper pieced her dress and hat and then stitched her to an SU Early Expresso mat. I used my EK Success border punch to make the alternating scallops on the bottom and tied a cute bubbly bow with some SU Early Expresso satin ribbon. To finish, I applied some Liquid Applique to the hat trim and added some Stickles to the falling snow. Brrrrrrr! Baby it's COLD outside!! Tee-hee! Wanna see some more clever Christmas ideas? Mornin' hens! TGIF!! Woo-hoo! Don'tcha just LOVEEEE Fridays? Man, I sure do! The weekend is HERE! Yippee-skippee! And of course that also means it's time for another Bellarific Friday card for ya too! The theme for today's Bellarific Friday card was a sketch by our own Ebrubella!

Thank goodness Ebru helped those of us who are circle card challenged by providing us with a square version, as well. Whew!! I was sweatin that one! Ok, so here's my take on Ebru's sketch! This is "Knitting Peep" from Stamping Bella. Isn't she cute? I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my circle Nesties and then sponged around the edges with some chalk ink. For those of you who've never seen this sponging technique before, I have a video on it HERE. Then I matted the image with some DP cut in a circle as well and then once again with a scalloped white circle. The DP I used on today's card is from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl collection which ties in perfectly with the theme too! I finished the card by stitching around the edges and adding a couple of Prima Flowers with a button on top! Cute huh? Wanna see some more ideas using this super duper cool sketch? It's Bellarific Friday - all tied up in a bow!

Yep, that's today's theme alright..... RIBBON! Easy peasy!! Didn't even have to use the ol' noggin for this one! I needed a card for my nephew's birthday and I have been itching to use this cute image called, "Bronte and Louis" from the Mo Manning in Rubbah collection over at Stamping Bella. Honestly, Bronte is the spittin image of Miley, my nephew's dog. I added a few black spots just like Miley has and I know he's gonna see the resemblance as soon as he opens this card. I really love how this card turned out too! These Mo images are so detailed and while I will admit, the coloring does take longer, it is well worth the extra time when you see the results. This card really is stunning IRL! I stamped the image onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and then colored it with my Copics. I matted the image with some SU Basic Black CS and stitched around the edges. This DP is from another line of the MME Stella & Rose collection and I think it works perfectly with a masculine image. I know, I know.... I put a bow on a boy card!! Shhhh! But you have to admit, it's too stinkin cute there now isn't it??? LOL!

Happy 40th Birthday Stacey!

I know, I could have really done this up right and made my SIL a funny OLD LADY card, since it is her 40th birthday and all, but my SIL is like the sweestest person evah, so I decided to make her a sweet card using "soccermomabella" instead. Both my nephew and niece are avid soccer players so Stacey is a full time "Soccer Mom" on top of everything else she does. Hmmmmm, maybe this bella should have a big S on her chest for SUPER Soccer Mom! Ha-ha! Stacey will get a chuckle out of that! But needless to say, she IS SUPER in my book. I have no idea how she gets everything done, but she always does.

Happy 5th Birthday Madilyn!

Mornin' hens!! It's time for another Bellarific Friday today and this week's challenge theme was "Paper Piecing". I LOVE this technique, simply for the fact that it speeds up the card making process substantially. Believe me, this is a real time-saver when you need to get a card done quickly. One piece of advice I will give you is, always pick an image with a rather large space that normally would have been colored and also to pick a small patterned DP for the paper pieced part.

I decided to ink up Abby from Stamping Bella for today's card. I paper pieced her dress and colored the rest of the image with my Copics. I matted her to the My Minds Eye DP and then stitched around the edges. For a little added interest, I punched a border punch on the second panel behind the image. I finished with some striped DP and then an organza ribbon tied in a cute little bubbly bow!

This little card is for my niece Madilyn's birthday. She's having a birthday party on Saturday and I for one can't wait! I just LOVE when my family all gets together for a BBQ or birthday party. I'm sure with our family, she'll be showered with tons of gifts since we do love to spoil her rotten. Tee-hee!

It's Bellarific Friday!!

TGIBF!! Woo-hoo! I LOVEEEEE Bellarific Fridays, don't you? I just love lookin' at all the FABBY eye candy from da Bella Babes and the sistahood too! They're just uh-mazin!! LOL!

This week's BF challenge theme was "Masculine". Well, with Father's Day right around the corner, I'm sure this played right into your card makin' schedule right? I actually needed to work on mine as well but decided to mix it up and make my cousin's birthday card instead. This is Jackson the Champion from Stamping Bella. He's part of the Green Bean Baby range of stamps. These are SO CUTE! I LOVE coloring their hair! Tee-hee! I started by stamping Jackson on to some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored him with my Copics. I matted him with some SU Basic Black and added a few brads to each corner. This DP is from the Rough and Tough collection from Fancy Pants and is SO BOY!! I finished my project with some saddle stitched ribbon threaded through a cute orange button! I think it turned out so cute and is a perfect little boy card, don'tcha think?

I'm also using this card as part of Catered Crop's FTR 13 challenge too!

I made this little card for my friends daughter who just graduated college. She's such a sweetie and I wanted to send her a little something to CONGRATULATE her! Hey, what better way to show how excited I am for her than a cheerleader? Woo-hoo!

This little cutie is "PomPomabella" from Stamping Bella! I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Early Expresso and stitched around the edges. This week's Bellarific Friday theme was Kraft, Navy and Green. Well as you hens know, Kraft is MY THING so this challenge was right up my alley. Hey, take a look at this cool ribbed Kraft CS that was a gift from my good friend in Switzerland. Not sure what it's really used for but it's super cool. Me LOVEEE gifts!! Tee-hee! Ok, so then I found this DP from We Are Memory Keepers in my stash and thought it would work perfectly for this color challenge. Then to finish up, I added the sentiment, also from Stamping Bella and tied on some Baker's Twine from The Twinery with a button on top.

That's KRAFTY Friday??

Ummmm, ok that was WEIRD!! I have no idea what was going on with Blogger yesterday but my That's Krafty Thursday #51 post went live and then later in the day Blogger "UN-POSTED" it, if that's a word! I dunno, but I just put it back on line now. That was strange.... {*Alfred Hitchcock music*} Now, I know there were a few of you hens that had linked your projects yesterday before Blogger went down, so if you don't mind, please double check to be sure your project is still there and if not, pleeeeease resubmit it. Ok, so if my That's Krafty Thursday #51 post didn't get you in a KRAFTY mood, how 'bout this doosey??? I just LUUUUVE these two gals! Now of course I could hardly wait for this week's Bellarific Friday, cuz the theme was....... KRAFT!! Ahhhhhhh, my fav!! Betcha never guessed that, huh? I matted it with some SU Basic Black and stitched around the edges. This DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1934 collection and of course, the cardbase is SU Kraft! I finished it up with the perfect sentiment (also from Stamping Bella), with a flower and a button on top! I don't know what it is about Kraft with Black, but it's one of my favorite color combinations. The black just POPS off that Kraft doesn't it? Ok, now it's your turn.... It's a BLOOMIN Bellarific Friday!

Mornin' hens! FLOWERS, flowers and more flowers! It's a "bloomin" Bellarific Friday! LOL! Today's BF theme was ummmmm, yep you guessed it, FLOWERS! Tee-hee! How perfect, April showers brings May flowers right? Yay! So I went diggin' through my Stamping Bella images and found this little cutie that hadn't seen any ink yet! Eeeeek! How can that be? Well, I had to remedy that right away, so I stamped "Patsy Pixie" onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. This DP is from an old Basic Grey collection I had and I LOVE the colors in it. I know I'm such a sucker for neutrals but I really liked how the violets, oranges and greens tie into it. VERY pretty don'tcha think? Ok, so after I was done coloring, I cut it out with my oval Nesties and leaving the die in place, sponged around the edges with distress ink. I matted the DP with some SU Cajun Craze and even used my SU border punch along the vertical edges. To finish, I added this crocheted lace and topped it off with this champagne colored satin ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow. This will be my MIL's Mother's Day card. I think she'll LOVE it!

I'm also using this card as part of this week's Catered Crop FTR 11 challenge.

Here's the FTR11 recipe:

If Moms were flowers, I'd pick YOU!

Mornin' hens! Hmmmm, I bet you'll never guess who this card is for? Tee-hee! Yep, it's my Mom's Mother's Day card. I hope she likes it. She's so GOOD with plants and flowers it's not funny. I can kill a CACTUS, but she can grow ANYTHING! I certainly don't take after her in that arena! Hmmph!

As soon as I saw this new image from Stamping Bella called, "Sorry Shanna" I knew I wanted to use it for her Mother's Day card. It fits her perfectly and ME too! Yep, that looks like me as a kid, goofy tights and shoes! Always wearin' my big sister's "hand me downs"! Tee-hee! And thinkin' back, I wouldn't trade my childhood for ANYTHING!

Ok, so I started by stamping the image onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored the image with my Copics. I stitched it to some SU Really Rust and then onto some SU Sahara Sand. I added the three small brads to the bottom left and then finished by adding this taffeta ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow. That's it, not a complicated card but none the less CUTE, right? LOL! Our next Bellarific Friday challenge theme is "FLOWERS". Hmmmmm, maybe I can post this again? Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! Just kidding!! Happy Birthday Mom!

Mornin' hens! Ready for another Bellarific Friday? Today's theme was FREE FORM so there ought to be lots of ideas to get you hens in the stampin' mood! My Mom's birthday is coming up soon, so I thought I'd use Flowahbella from Stamping Bella since my Mom is BIG into flowers! Whadaya think? Think she'll like it? I hope so. I stamped Flowahbella onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Cherry Cobbler and stitched around the edges. I used some of this great October Afternoon Campfire DP which I thought made for a cheery card. I cut some coordinating pieces of DP in different shapes and matted them behind the sentiment, also from Stamping Bella. To finish, I punched a scalloped border along the bottom of the image mat and tied on this cute little polka dot ribbon. Wanna see some more ideas? Hiya hens! Ready for another Bellarific Friday? Woo-hoo! Me LOVEEEE Fridays!! Ok, now isn't this just the CUTEST little image you've ever seen? I don't know why it's taken me SO long to ink it up! {uh, maybe it's cuz I've got TOO MANY stamps! Shhhhh, don't tell!} Sorta reminds me of my Momma tellin' me, "your eyes are bigger than your belly!" when I would put too much food on my plate and then couldn't eat it all!

For my card today, I chose "Best Friends Forever" from Stamping Bella. I stamped them onto some Neenah's Classic Crest CS and colored them with my Copics. I cut them out with my oval Nesties and sponged some distress ink around the edges. I adhered the image to some October Afternoon DP and then stitched around the edges. One Martini, Two Martini, Three Martini....

...FLOOR!! Whew, I'd be PICKLED, let alone hit the floor! Me no drinky! Can't hold my liquor worth a flip! Here's a little story I have to share....

One day, the DH and I went for a ride on the Harley and decided to stop off for lunch. Naturally, it's hotter than blue blazes here in Florida, so I was parched! {Note: We Southerners like to drink!} So I was wantin' some good ol' sweet tea! I LOVE sweet tea {and don't give me none of that, "you can sweeten it with the sugah on the table" stuff! Nuh-uh, that ain't SWEET tea!!} Ok, so I noticed on the menu there was somethin' called Flo's Iced Tea! Hmmmmm? That's sounds interesting, I thought. So, I ordered one and slurped it down in like one swaller! Then the waitress comes back and say's, "want another tea sweetie?" I nod my head eagerly and say, "uh-huh!" So, the second one comes and I slurp down about half and then say to DH, "hey honey, taste this! It tastes sorta funny." So he takes a sip and says, "HOLY $#@!, that's got liquor in it!" And I'm like, "say WHAT?" He says, "I'm gonna have to tie you on the back of the bike with a bungie cord!" Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!! I don't remember the ride home.... *sigh* but I'm still here so it must have worked! LOL!!

Ok-ok, back to the card.... This is Addy "tude" loves her tinis, from Stamping Bella. I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out and adhered her to this embossed circle and added a little sparkle to her tinis and sunglasses with my Gelly Roll pen. This week's Bellarific Friday challenge was a MONOCHROMATIC theme! Definitely a challenge for me, but I do like how this turned out. Hey, did you hens get chance to check out the new release over at Stamping Bella? OMG, my wish list is getting longer and longer...... LOL!

Hee-hee.... you knew that was comin' didn't ya? Actually, today is a "POLKA DOT" Bellarific Friday! So whatcha think of my little guy? OMG, I just LOVE these little Lollipop images by Lori Boyd. She has some of the CUTEST little kid images I've ever seen. This is Ethan and he's available over at Stamping Bella along with a whole bunch more. I MUST have the whole collection!! Ya'll know I'm addicted, what can I say???? LOL!

Ok, so I stamped Ethan onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored him with my Copics. Ummm, wanna guess where the paper is from? Com'on guess.... I'll give ya three guesses and the first two don't count! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! You're RIGHT! MME Stella and Rose, how'd you know? You hens are so SMART!! Hmmmph, and here I thought you was just another purty face!! Tee-hee!

Ok, so I stitched him onto a triple mat of Prism blue, GP white and SU Real Red, and I followed Karen Giron's sketch challenge this week as well.

It's a sketchy Bellarific Friday!

Hey hens!! Ready for this week's Bellarific Friday challenge? Whooot-whoot!! OH YEAH, me too! And nothing says CUTE, like somethin' from da COOP!! ROFL!!

So for today's Bellarific Friday challenge, we had a sketch from our own Danabella. And boy oh boy was it a DANDY one too! I LOVE it!

I decided to use Prince Edward Island from Stamping Bella. Isn't she sweet? This image is one of the many beautiful images from the "Mo Manning in Rubbah" collection at Stamping Bella. I just LOVE this card! The sketch works perfectly with this image and of course you know where the DP is from, right? Seriously, I can't get enough of it!! It seems to be my "go to" paper lately. I colored the image with my Copics and sponged some distress ink around the edges. I finished the card with some saddle stitched ribbon tied in a suh-weet little bow and placed a button on top! Hippity Hoppity - it's Bellarific Friday!

Mornin' hens!! Y'all ready for a little bunny hoppin?

Hey, it's Friday - that alone oughta put a little spring in your step, right? LOL!! Today's Bellarific Friday challenge was Easter. Now I have to admit, I don't have that many Easter images so I'm makin' a mental note to remedy that for next year, but I did have this cute little Green Bean Baby - Lottie the Bunny to work with for today. Aint' she cute? I love the design of the egg. It lends itself to match just about any DP you want to pair it with. I colored the image with my Copics and stitched it to some SU Basic Black CS. This card is doing double duty in the challenge arena as I also "Followed the Recipe" in the Catered Crop's FTR7 challenge.

Here's this week's recipe:

• Pattern Paper – Plaids or Stripes
• Colors – Spring, pastel colors
• Stamps – bunny rabbits, flowers (especially violets)
• Color Mediums – Copic markers, printer's ink (yep, it's a digital image)
• Embellishments – pearls, ribbon, felt, flowers
• Tools – Circle, lace, doily, flower, or curly flourish punches or die cuts
• Techniques – highlighting around an image, handmade or rolled flower embellishments, tying bows
• Theme – Spring, Easter, Birthday
• Shapes – Circles, lace and doilies, curly flourishes

Feelin' blue???

Ummm, not that kinda blue...... how'z about AQUAMARINE kinda blue? Or is that green? Hmmmph! I can never tell. This is just one of those colors that's a little "iffy" for me. Anyhoo, today's Bellarific Friday theme was a COLOR challenge, and the color was AQUAMARINE. I didn't have anything quite this bright but I suppose there are various shades so I'm hopin' this works. Here's my take on it anyway.....

This is "Twinkle Toes Huggabugg" from Stamping Bella. I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I stitched her to some SU Soft Suede and sponged around the edges with some distress ink. For a little SPAH-KLE, I added some shimmer to her wings with my Gelly Roll pens. I dusted off my EK Success scalloped punches and layered them using a piece of white CS in between. (Gotta stick to my personal challenge and keep using those old products and/or tools!) I added the pretty lace, a few brads and a button to finish it off. Be sure to pop in over at Bloggabella and see all the cool cards made with this pretty color. Mornin' hens and Happy TGIBF! Yep, it's Friday alright and not just any Friday mind you, it's Bellarific Friday! And that means it's time for da Bella Babes to reveal our projects from last week's challenge. You remember last week's challenge right? Of course you do, but for those of you who are new to the hen house, last week's challenge was to "Ink what you haven't used!" Sadly enough, I had several to choose from..... but decided on "Beer Peep" from Stamping Bella. I stamped him onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored him with my Copics. I stitched him to some SU Early Expresso that I had punched with my EKSuccess border punch and sponged a little distress ink around the edges too.

Now you remember me telling you on Tuesday that this week was challenge week right? Well, I decided to include a personal challenge too! My challenge was to use OLD products/tools that haven't seen the light of day in like FOREVER and believe me, I have a LOT of those! But it was a good challenge for me and actually, it's been kinda fun! I think I might just keep this up for awhile. I'm sure my DH would like that! Tee-hee! So, for today's card, the OLD product I used was CHIPBOARD. Ok, that may not seem like a stretch for you but it sure was for me. I can't tell you the last time I covered and distressed a piece of chipboard. It was fun and I like the look if it on this card. Oh and as you've probably already guessed, this card is for a guy so NO BOW! Pffft! Buncha-hooeeee as far as I'm concerned, but WHATEVER!

Ok, and last but not least, my REAL challenge this week is this sketch from the "Unscripted Sketches 94" challenge.

Cool huh? I really like this one. Made the OLD chicken think, "how in tarnations am I gonna make this sketch work with this BIG ol' image?" But by golly, I think it works! Whatcha think? Yay! It's Bellarific Friday!

Do you hens LOVE Friday's as much as I do? That's what I thought! Fridays are the BESTEST! Well, for one thing - it means the weekend is right around the corner but more importantly - it means it's time for another BELLARIFIC FRIDAY challenge! Woo-hoo! This week's BF challenge was a FABBY sketch from Ebrubella.

Since my image was more wide than tall, I decided to turn the sketch for a horizontal card instead. I suppose I was SO taken by Ebru's colors on her sketch design, that I decided to use them on my project as well! LOL! Ok, you just gotta LOVE this image, right? OMG, he's just too funny. This is one of Mo Manning's images called, "Toby is TWO!" from Stamping Bella. I stamped the image onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored it with my Copics. I cut it out with my oval Nesties and sponged some distress ink around the edges. Then I followed Ebru's sketch using more of this great DP from October Afternoon's Campfire collection. I matted the layers with both SU Very Vanilla and SU Night of Navy CS. The cardbase is SU Old Olive. Hmmmm, bet you'd never guess my BFF JoAnn is a SU demonstrator!!! ROFL!! Ok, I finished up adding a few brads in each corner and then tied on some Baker's Twine and a couple of buttons on top! Whatcha think? Tee-hee, me too!

Round and Round we go....

.... it's BELLARIFIC FRIDAY don'tcha know? LOL!

Hey hens!! What did I tell ya? Ain't it CUUUUUTE?? I was SO worried about making a circle card... YIKES!! But actually, it came together quite easy! Whew!! Love it when that happens!!

For my card today, I decided to use this cute little image called "Cuppycake with a Huggabugg on top" from Stamping Bella. I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my Nesties and sponged some distress ink around the edges. I paper pieced her dress using this sweet DP from an old SU paper pack I had. I just love the deep browns in this pack and it goes perfectly with the new SU Early Expresso too! Now, to make those sprinkles (aka: jimmies) show up, I added some orange Stickles on top. They look so sparkly IRL! Ok, to make the card base, the SU Early Expresso CS was first folded in half and then cut leaving the fold slightly inside of the Nestie die, so when the cut is made, this portion of the circle is not cut and becomes the fold of the card. Using the DP, I cut a scalloped circle slightly bigger than the SU Early Expresso CS and adhered it to the back of the CS. A smaller circle cut from the same DP, was then adhered on top of the SU Early Expresso circle. The sentiment was printed and cut out with my SU tag punch and attached with a small brad. Last but not least, I adhered the stamped image using a few SU dimensionals and finished with a bubbly bow on the fold. Not bad huh? Oooooh, I just WUV it!!
