Just for fun....

This little card was actually part of a joke but I thought I'd share it with the hens today anyway. You remember me tellin' you that my little chick's birthday party was last weekend right? (Oh by the way, it was PERFECT and she LOVED her cards! Yay!)

Ok, well I had told her that she wasn't allowed to look at my blog last week since her birthday cards were posted. So later in the week, while I was talking to her on the phone, I told her that I had 21 clucks on one of her cards! (I get real excited when I get lots of clucks! *snort*) Ok, so the DH overheard me tellin' her this and then he got on the phone and said, "I hope you like snakes!" and my little chick says, "Snakes?? I hate snakes!!" and the DH says, "Well that's what's on the birthday card your Momma made for you. {so he starts describing the card that doesn't exist!} ....It's a snake with a frog ridin' on it's back and it reads, "sssssssslithering by with a birthday hi!"

Well, the two of them got to laughin' so hard about this fictitious card, and they continued with this all week long. Every time she would call, the DH would HISS into the phone, and she'd start laughing all over again. Good grief!!

Ok, so then at the last minute on Saturday, I decided to actually make the card he dreamed up! Seriously, I made this card in like 30 minutes! Finding two stamps that were actually sized right was the hardest part! This snake is from High Hopes Stamps and the little frog is from a Whipper Snapper set I have called "Hooked on Fishing". As soon as my little chick opened this card, I thought she was gonna fall off the chair laughing. Tee-hee! She got the biggest kick out of it and yes, the inside does read, "ssssssslithering by with a birthday hi". LOL!!

Have a great Wednesday and don't forget, tomorrow is the start of a new That's Krafty Thursday challenge, so be sure to get that Kraft cardstock ready!! Woo-hoo! {{{hen hugs}}}

BIG butts are IN now!

Well now, that's music to MY ears!! Since I have enough to spare!! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!!

This is a little birthday card I made for a good friend of mine. I know she's gonna LOVE it, cuz she has the same crazy sense of humor I have! (she better, huh?) LOL!! This is an older Inky Antics stamp that I pulled out of my storage bins and as soon as I saw the look on her face, I knew this was the perfect sentiment for her.

Ok, so I stamped her onto some Neenah Classic Crest CS and colored her with my Copics. Then I matted her with some SU Real Red CS and stitched around the edges. This DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird collection and I finished by tying some Baker's Twine around the panels and added a button on top!

Ok, now here's the best part..... the punch line! {*snort*}

Isn't that the BEST?? OMG, and it's SO TRUE! Seriously, what's up with GRAVITY lately?? I don't know about you, but it just jumped right into overdrive as soon as I hit 40!! It's like my skin turned into one BIG MAGNET!! Pfffft! Crazy ain't it? ROFL!!

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. I hope you hens all have a MAH-VELOUS Monday.

Lil' Chick's Birthday Card #2

Isn't this image GREAT? Oh man, I LOVE those big 'ol glasses of hers! And I can think of a dozen things she could be sayin'. LOL!

This is the second card I made for my lil' chick's birthday. OMG, this is SO her! She's just like her momma and has a killer SWEET TOOTH! Seriously, I'd rather eat a donut than a steak any day! LOL! And my lil' chick is just like me, so I know she'll get a kick out of it!

This image is by JustInkLined, and I printed her out onto some Neenah Classic Crest CS and colored her with my Copics. This DP is from a fairly OLD MME's Quite Contrary collection, and I matted it all with some SU Cherry Cobbler. Yay, something other than SU Early Expresso, huh? LOL! I used my Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom and tied on some SU twill ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow with a button on top. I printed the sentiment and then matted it with the SU Cherry Cobbler too!

Oh and here's the inside..... *snort* Perfect right?

Just a quick reminder, my That's Krafty Thursday challenge closes tonight at 7:00pm EST. Be sure to get those cards linked up and check back tomorrow mornin' for the crowning of our newest KRAFTY CHICKS!!

Hope you hens have a WACKY WEDNESDAY!

Is it Mooooooon-day already??

Seriously!! Where'd the weekend go?? Ok, all in favor of a 5 day weekend and a 2 day work week say Mooooo! Tee-hee! I think all the cows in the world just raised their heads!!

Was that you Bessie? *snort*

So did you hens all have a good weekend? I spent Saturday makin' my lil' chick's birthday cards. I made her two of them and this is one. She better not be peekin' neither!! Hmmmph! Her birthday is comin' up next week and we're giving her a party this Saturday. I've been itching to use this new digi I got from Squigglefly. Ain't it a hoot? OMG, those eyes just crack me up! I printed the image twice and cut the head off the second one (Awwwwwk, dem's fighten words to us chickens!) LOL!

Ok, so then I colored both with my Copics and matted the image with some SU Early Expresso (is there any other CS?) and then pulled out this really OLD SU DP and matted it with some blush colored CS from my stash. I stitched around the edges of all pieces and then add this Martha Stewart taffeta ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow. And of course for the FINISHING TOUCH, I added some dimensional pearls in Expresso to make that AWESOME lookin' cow patty!! I was so proud of my little creation and the DH says, "it needs some STINK comin' off of it or at least a fly!" Hmmmmmm??? Ok, so I got out my super fine Prismacolor markers and drew a few dots and a little fly. Tee-hee! The DH gave his approval with a, "VERY GOOD!" Yay!! Oh, and here's the inside. Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! OMG, I'm gonna pee my pants!! Have a great Moooooooon-day hens! {{{hen hugs}}}

Baby it's COLD outside!

NOT!!! Pfffft!! It's SO STINKIN HOT here in Florida it's not funny! Come on Fall, hurry up already!! LOL!

Today's Bellarific Friday challenge was Christmas in July! So, I decided to ink up Lulu's Snowman from Stamping Bella! Isn't she a CUTIE? I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. The DP is from an older Basic Grey Figgy Pudding collection. I paper pieced her dress and hat and then stitched her to an SU Early Expresso mat. I used my EK Success border punch to make the alternating scallops on the bottom and tied a cute bubbly bow with some SU Early Expresso satin ribbon. To finish, I applied some Liquid Applique to the hat trim and added some Stickles to the falling snow. Brrrrrrr! Baby it's COLD outside!! Tee-hee! Wanna see some more clever Christmas ideas? Hop on over to Bloggabella and check out all the AWESOME Bella Babes and the sistahood too! They're sure to get you in the Christmas spirit! Hey, it's never to early to start. It seems like once Halloween comes, the rest is a BLURRRRR!

And now on to a bit of sad news..... today is my last post as JEANIEBELLA! Oh, how I love that title! From the first time I heard it, from da Bella herself, it has always made me smile. Being on this DT was such an honor. These are the most talented ladies EVER! And if talent wasn't enough, they're SUPER DUPER suh-weet too! Needless to say, I'll be STALKING them ALL! LOL! Okee dokee, that's a wrap from Jeaniebella!! I hope you hens have a wonderful weekend! {{{hen hugs}}}

Mid week reminder....

Mornin' hens! Thought I'd give you all a "MID-WEEK" reminder for my That's Krafty Thursday challenge! Nothin' hard about this challenge, just use Kraft colored cardstock somewhere on your project and link it below on my TKT #52 post before Wednesday, Aug 3rd at 7:00pm EST. I'll pick my Top Krafty Chicks from all the entries and post the winners right here on my blog on Thursday mornin', Aug 4th. PLUS, the winners will also get the honor of having Clara The Krafty Chick sit on your blog sidebar. Who wouldn't LOVE to have Clara? Hmmmm? She's so STINKIN CUTE! Awwwwk!

Ok, so to get you hens motivated (since there's no way you are actually OUTSIDE in this heat!) I've put this little number together for you.
I stamped TV Peep, from Stamping Bella onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and cut him out with my Exacto knife. I matted him with some SU Kraft CS that I embossed with my QuicKutz embossing folders, and then matted it again with some Prism Navy and then white. This DP is from an older October Afternoon collection called Campfire. I LOVE the fun happy colors in this collection, don't you? Ok, to finish off the card, I stitched around the edges, added a few red brads and tied this super cool striped grosgrain ribbon in a simple knot. Simple card but oh so cute!

This card is also my submission to this week's Catered Crop FTR #17 challenge. I SO wanted to make a cute alien card for this challenge but let's just say, time was NOT on my side. Hmmmmph! So here's the recipe for those of you who'd like to play along in the Catered Crop FTR #17 challenge.

* Colors – red, white, green; blue, gray, kraft <<< SEE, THERE'S EVEN KRAFT IN THE RECIPE - SO YOU CAN ENTER MY TKT #52 CHALLENGE WITH THE SAME CARD! WOO-HOO! (Make it a two-fer!!)
* Stamps and Stickers – strawberries, sentiment, aliens/monsters, scientists
* Patterns – circles, checked/gingham; scallops
* Color Mediums – markers (ProMarker, Copics, White Signo Pen)
* Embellishments – clear gloss, glitter, charms, brads, ribbon
* Tools – corner rounder punch, border punch, die cut shapes

It's simple to play along, you only need to use ONE of the above ingredients. I've highlighted those ingredients I used in RED. Ok, now it's your turn! Knit happens!

Ain't that the truth?? LOL!
Mornin' hens! TGIF!! Woo-hoo! Don'tcha just LOVEEEE Fridays? Man, I sure do! The weekend is HERE! Yippee-skippee! And of course that also means it's time for another Bellarific Friday card for ya too! The theme for today's Bellarific Friday card was a sketch by our own Ebrubella!
Thank goodness Ebru helped those of us who are circle card challenged by providing us with a square version, as well. Whew!! I was sweatin that one! Ok, so here's my take on Ebru's sketch! This is "Knitting Peep" from Stamping Bella. Isn't she cute? I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my circle Nesties and then sponged around the edges with some chalk ink. For those of you who've never seen this sponging technique before, I have a video on it HERE. Then I matted the image with some DP cut in a circle as well and then once again with a scalloped white circle. The DP I used on today's card is from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl collection which ties in perfectly with the theme too! I finished the card by stitching around the edges and adding a couple of Prima Flowers with a button on top! Cute huh? Wanna see some more ideas using this super duper cool sketch? Head on over to Bloggabella and check out all the Bellababes cards, as well as the sistahood too! I know they'll have tons of inspiration to offer. So what's next week's Bellarific Friday challenge? Think she's still gonna LOVE me afterwards? *snort* I printed Fanny Fart onto some Neenah Classic Crest CS and colored her with my Copics.
I paper pieced her dress and stitched her to the mat of SU Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black. This DP is from the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 collection and I'm so in LOVE with it. I finished by printing my sentiment onto a scrap piece of paper and punched it out with my circle punch. Join your hands, and with your hands - your hearts!

Mornin' hens! Did you all have a FABBY weekend? Mine was a lot of fun. We went to my nephew's birthday party and I visited with my family, which is always wonderful, and then I made a few cards yesterday, which was VERY relaxing. Me LOVEEEE coloring! All in all, a wonderful weekend in my book!

My anniversary is this coming up weekend so I needed to step things up a bit and get a card made for my DH! Eeeeek! I surely wouldn't be on the "good wife" list if I didn't make my own hubby a card now would I? Ok, so I dug through my Stamping Bella images and I've been wanting to ink this one up for awhile now, but hadn't really had an occasion until now. This is "Jack and Ginger" by Mo Manning, available from Stamping Bella.

I think they are absolutely adorable don't you? This is so me and my DH too! We still hold hands everywhere we go! He's the most thoughtful man on earth and I'm truly blessed. Ok-ok, enough mushy talk, so I stamped Jack and Ginger onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored them with my Copics. I matted them with both SU Night of Navy and Early Expresso. This DP is from the My Minds Eye - Stella and Rose collection. Perfect colors for a man card too! Ya know how it goes, gotta be careful not to use any prissy colors when makin' those men cards. Pfffft! Oh and of course, he'd faint and fall right over if I was to put any ribbon or bows on his card, so I figured I was safe with a button and string!! LOL!!

Okee dokee, that's it for me today. I've gotta treat in store for you hens on Thursday. Yep, that's right! It's high time I have another That's Krafty Thursday challenge, dontcha think? Woo-hoo! Wait til' you see my card!! OMG, it's to die for! I'm SO in love with it, I might not be able to give it away! Bwah-ha-ha-ha! How's that for a teaser? Tee-hee! {{{hen hugs}}}

It's that time again....

....what time you ask? Well, Bellarific Friday of course!! Now you hens do remember what today's theme was right? Oh I know you did, cuz' I bet ALL OF YOU played along too right? Tee-hee! No worries, if you're like me, I know how hectic the Summer months can be but if you have time, we'd LOVE to have you hens play along in our Bellarific Friday challenges. It's super simple to play, just make a card using the theme of the week and a Stamping Bella image, then send your photo by email to Emily at emily@stampingbella.com by Thursday evenings and you will be entered into the weekly drawing to win some cool Bella Bucks to use at www.stampingbella.com
How cool is that? Did you know that you can even win Bella Bucks just by leaving a comment on the Bellarific Friday post? Uh-huh, you sure can! But wait, don't run off just yet.... let me tell ya a little bit 'bout my card. Today's Bellarific Friday theme was Bella or Stella. Hmmmmm, this was a no brainer for me cuz' I LOVEEEEEE Stella!!! I made this card for my mom to give to my sis for her birthday comin' up.

I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. Then I ran her through my printer for the computer generated sentiment and stitched her to some SU Early Expresso. This DP is from an older Cosmo Cricket line "Mr. Campy" but I still love it. I stamped her again on the inside and then finished with a few mini brads and tied a bubbly bow with this pretty red saddle stitched ribbon! Ain't she a cutie??

Now this card is doing double duty this week as part of the Catered Crop FTR 16 challenge too!
Here's this week's recipe:

Colors – red, white, green, and brown
Stamps and Stickers – cake, flowers, mice, strawberries
Patterns – circles, checked/gingham
Color Mediums – markers (ProMarker, Copics)
Embellishments – banners
Tools – border bunches
Techniques – faux stitching, doodling/drawing
Theme – birthday

It's super easy to play along in the Catered Crop "Follow the Recipe" FTR 16 challenge! Alls you need to do is use ANY one of the above the ingredients and link it up over at the Catered Crop website. I've highlighted those ingredients I've used in RED. So you can see just how easy it is to play along. And get this, one lucky hen will get a $25 gift certificate to use at Deadbeat Designs. Woo-hoo!! More FREE stuff!! What hen doesn't LOVEEEE FREEEE stuff? Hmmmmm??? Not this one for sure! Okee dokee, that does for me today! I hope you hens have a FABBY Friday and I'll see ya back in the hen house real soon.

TOAD-TALLY awesome!!

Mornin' hens!! Tee-hee, I bet you thought I'd forgotten about you didn't you?? Nah, I'm just running behind this week! Hmmmph!!

Meet Charlie from Stamping Bella. Charlie is part of the Green Bean Baby line. I just LOVE this collection, as you know, cuz' their hair is so STINKIN CUTE!! All spikes and crazy lookin'!! Kinda like mine in the mornin'! Pffft!

Ok, so I stamped lil' Charlie here onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored him with my Copics. I matted him with some SU Night of Navy CS and then again with some OLD, (and I do mean OLD!) Bazzil Bling CS in this pretty aqua color and then again on the SU Night of Navy. Now tell me this DP isn't da cutest??? Acccck! OMG, I thought it was TOAD-TALLY perfect to go with Charlie, don'tcha think? I cut one of the little frogs around the edge and slipped the corner of the image panel underneath. I finished with the "worm wishes" sentiment placed under a double button accent and there ya have it! One TOAD-TALLY awesome birthday card for my nephew! Whoot-whoot!! Ummm, maybe that should RIBBITT-RIBBITT! *snort* Yeah-yeah, I'm bein' silly! It's Monday, what can I say? Oh, and I TOAD-TALLY forgot (Can ya tell I'm havin' fun with this word?) to tell you the theme for this week's Bellarific Friday - it's Bella or Stella!! Guess which one I'm gonna use??? Have a good one hens! {{{hen hugs}}}

It's Bellarific Friday - all tied up in a bow!

Yep, that's today's theme alright..... RIBBON! Easy peasy!! Didn't even have to use the ol' noggin for this one! I needed a card for my nephew's birthday and I have been itching to use this cute image called, "Bronte and Louis" from the Mo Manning in Rubbah collection over at Stamping Bella. Honestly, Bronte is the spittin image of Miley, my nephew's dog. I added a few black spots just like Miley has and I know he's gonna see the resemblance as soon as he opens this card. I really love how this card turned out too! These Mo images are so detailed and while I will admit, the coloring does take longer, it is well worth the extra time when you see the results. This card really is stunning IRL! I stamped the image onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and then colored it with my Copics. I matted the image with some SU Basic Black CS and stitched around the edges. This DP is from another line of the MME Stella & Rose collection and I think it works perfectly with a masculine image. I know, I know.... I put a bow on a boy card!! Shhhh! But you have to admit, it's too stinkin cute there now isn't it??? LOL!

Ok, that's it from the hen house today! Be sure to hop on over to Bloggabella to see the rest of the Bella Babes take on this challenge as well as the sistahood too! And I know you hens played along too, right? Ooooooh-ooooh, I can't wait to see your creations!!! On your mark, get set, GO!!! Last one there's a rotten egg!!! Awwwwwwk, did I just say that?

For my special bud...

Mornin' hens!! Did ya miss me last week? I sure hope so cuz' I SO missed bein' away from the hen house!! I couldn't wait to get home and back to craftin'!!! I made this little card for a "special" friend of mine who is retiring and LOVES to work in the garden. She always calls me her "bud" so this little gal was the perfect choice for her card! This is "Sprout" from the Mo Manning collection over at Stamping Bella. Who can resist Mo's images, huh? They're so detailed and oh so cute!

I stamped Sprout onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Early Expresso and then stitched around the edges. I stamped the sentiment (which comes with the image btw) onto a scrap piece of cardstock, rounded the corners and then tucked it behind the image panel. This DP is from the MME Stella & Rose collection and I added a little texture to the base with my SU embossing folder. To finish, I layered a few punched flowers, a button and tied it all together with some twine! I thought I might insert a Home Depot gift card for some new plants, as a going away gift! Whatcha think?

Ok, that's it from the hen house today. Don't forget we have a Bellarific Friday challenge this week, July 8th. The challenge theme is RIBBON!! Oh seriously, that's a gimme for da hens, right? Yep, that's what I thought, so let's get those Stamping Bella images dusted off and let's fill up Emily's email (emily@stampingbella.com) with lots of ideas, k? Woo-hoo!! You could even win some FREE Bella Bucks! Nothin's bettah than FREE rubbah!! LOL! {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy 40th Birthday Stacey!

I know, I could have really done this up right and made my SIL a funny OLD LADY card, since it is her 40th birthday and all, but my SIL is like the sweestest person evah, so I decided to make her a sweet card using "soccermomabella" instead. Both my nephew and niece are avid soccer players so Stacey is a full time "Soccer Mom" on top of everything else she does. Hmmmmm, maybe this bella should have a big S on her chest for SUPER Soccer Mom! Ha-ha! Stacey will get a chuckle out of that! But needless to say, she IS SUPER in my book. I have no idea how she gets everything done, but she always does.

Ok, so today is Bellarific Friday and today's challenge was a sketch by YOURS TRULY! I can't wait to see what the Sistahood came up with using it too! Be sure to hop on over to Bloggabella and check 'em out as well as the ever so talented Bella Babes too!

Next week the Bella Babes have the week off and I do as well, so I'll see you hens back in the hen house the week of July 4th! The next Bellarific Friday challenge is on July 8th and the theme is ribbon! Woo-hoo! I'm lovin' it already!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a safe holiday next weekend to those is the US. {{{hen hugs}}}

Coffee anyone?

Mornin' hens!! If you're like me, I'm worthless without my mornin' cup of coffee! What is it about coffee that just starts the day off right? Seriously, I'm like the "cookie monster" when it comes to my coffee. ME WANT COFFEEEEEE!! LOL!!

I'm not the only one who is a total coffee nut either, my SIL is too! Therefore, I had to use "lattebella" from Stamping Bella for her birthday card. I paired her with some great coffee DP from Flair Designs and some brick DP from my scrap stash, all of which is matted with SU Early Expresso, my GO TO cardstock of choice lately! I colored lattebella with my Copics and then stitched around the edges of the image as well. I finished off with punching two slotted holes in the bottom of the image cardstock mat and then threaded the saddle stitched ribbon through. Then I finished with this big copper brad and there ya have it! One birthday card that I like a latte!! LOL!

...and here's DH's card!!!

Acccccck! Now tell me you're not rollin' on the floor, bustin' a gut with this one?? OMG, this is SO my DH! He can fix ANYTHING and is ever so handy when it comes to repairs, maintenance, you name it - he can fix it!! Yeah I know, I'm blessed! No service calls at my house, wouldn't know how to act if I had to call a repair man for something! Eeeeeek!

Anyway, this was the card I made him for Father's Day. The inside reads, "so take the day off, you can finish your "honey do" list TOMORROW! Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha! When my little chick saw this card she said, "oh my goodness Daddy, that's YOU!" *snort* We always tease him that he suffers from a disease called, NOBUTTATALL!
laughing Pictures, Images and Photos Seriously, his pants are always about to fall off because his has no BUTT to keep them up! Tee-hee! Needless to say, when I saw this image over at Dude Time Doodles, I knew it would be perfect for one of his cards. This image is called, "Pete Plumber". I printed him onto some Neenah Classic Crest cardstock and colored him with my Copics. Isn't that DP great? It's from the Harley Davidson collection at EK Success. The diamond plate design is even raised for a totally realistic look too! I matted the image onto some SU Basic Black CS and then stitched around the edges of it and the DP as well. To finish I added the vertical piece of black CS and used these cool screw brads as the perfect GUY hardware to this UBER COOL Father's Day card. Yeah, he LOVED it!

Ok, I hope you hens have a great day and I'll see ya back in the hen house on Thursday mornin! {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy Father's Day!

Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! Is this guy a hoot or what? OMG, every time I look at this image I'm crackin' up! *snort* This is my Dad's Father's Day card and he loved it!

The image is "Arnie in the Loo" from Dude Time Doodles. Now be honest, how many times have you hens read the directions/ingredients on the shampoo and conditioner labels while on the THRONE??? Hmmmmm? ROFL!!! OMG, I SO LOVE this card. Of course, you hens know how much I LOVEEEEE funny old people images!! What can I say, I'm a sick chick!

Ok, so I printed Arnie out onto some Neenah Classic Crest cardstock and colored him with my Copics. Then I finally decided on the sentiment I wanted to add so I typed it up in MSWord and then ran some scrap paper through the printer for a few test runs so I could get the placement just right underneath the image and when I was sure I had the right placement, I ran the image through and it printed out perfectly underneath him. I matted the image onto some SU Early Expresso and stitched around the edges. Then I adhered it to some OLD DP from Patchwork Papers and Flair Designs. They seemed to work well together and made a great background for a masculine card. (Ya'll know how hard guy cards can be.) *sigh* Ok, then I matted each layer with the same SU Early Expresso and stitched around the edges. To finish, I threaded this satin ribbon through a slit I made in the image panel and added a few mini brads to the corners too. Ain't it a doosey????

Oh and to give you hens a little update.... if you're wondering why the sporadic posts lately, well this Chicken's turning into a BRAINIAC!! Pffft! Ummm, let's just say I'm trying anyway! Hmmmph! I have a new job and I've been in training for the past month, so I'm trying my best to make a few cards here and there in between my classes. Hopefully, in a few months, my schedule will become more consistent and I can fit more cards in. Until then, I hope you hens understand and won't be too disappointed when I don't post. Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. I'll post my husband's Father's Day card on Tuesday. If you like this one, you're gonna LOVE Tuesday's! Woo-hoo!! Happy Father's Day to all da ROOSTERS out there!!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy 5th Birthday Madilyn!

Mornin' hens!! It's time for another Bellarific Friday today and this week's challenge theme was "Paper Piecing". I LOVE this technique, simply for the fact that it speeds up the card making process substantially. Believe me, this is a real time-saver when you need to get a card done quickly. One piece of advice I will give you is, always pick an image with a rather large space that normally would have been colored and also to pick a small patterned DP for the paper pieced part.

I decided to ink up Abby from Stamping Bella for today's card. I paper pieced her dress and colored the rest of the image with my Copics. I matted her to the My Minds Eye DP and then stitched around the edges. For a little added interest, I punched a border punch on the second panel behind the image. I finished with some striped DP and then an organza ribbon tied in a cute little bubbly bow!

This little card is for my niece Madilyn's birthday. She's having a birthday party on Saturday and I for one can't wait! I just LOVE when my family all gets together for a BBQ or birthday party. I'm sure with our family, she'll be showered with tons of gifts since we do love to spoil her rotten. Tee-hee!

Ok, well hopefully you were able to play along in this week's Bellarific Friday challenge but if not, there's always next week. Which by the way the theme is "Here comes Summer". I won't be participating next week but I'll be checking in to see if you hens played along. So dust off those Stamping Bella images and show 'em some lovin!! Submit your project photo to emily@stampingbella.com by Thursday evening and you could even win some Bella Bucks just for playing along. FREE stamps you say? Uh-huh, FREE!!! FREE is good!! Yippee!!
Ok, you hens have a wonderful weekend and a great week next week as well. {{{hen hugs}}}

Teenagers.....

... dey tink dey know everything. You give dem an inch, dey swim all over you!! LOL!! Remember that line from Disney's - The Little Mermaid?? Oh boy, I love that movie. Ummm, but what Disney movie don't I LOVE? *sigh* As I was making this card, I couldn't help but remember poor Sebastian saying this about Ariel. He's SO cute and funny, I couldn't help but fall in LOVE with him and Flounder too. Seriously, I could watch that movie a hundred times! Yes, I REALLY AM just a big kid at heart!

Ok, so back to my little card here. This is one of Stamping Bella's newest releases called, "Three Baby Mermaids Under the Sea". Yep, that's right - there are THREE images in this set. I've only used one of them here but you do receive all three when you order this set. They are all so cute too! I found this paper in my stash of 12 x 12 DP and I thought it worked perfectly with my underwater theme! I stamped my little mermaid onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my new Eyelet Circles Nestabilities. I LOVE the look of these Nesties. So girly! Then I sponged a bit of chalk ink around the edges and adhered the image on top of the DP. I added some embossed CS and this pretty aqua satin ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow to finish. Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today! I hope you hens all have a GREAT Sunday and I'll see ya back in the coop on Friday with my take on this week's Bellarific Friday theme "Paper Piecing". Come on and play along, you could even win some cool Bella Bucks just for playing along. Whoot-whoot!! {{{hen hugs}}}
