Goodbye Tension...

…Hello Pension!!  Woot-woot!!
LOL!!  Ain't she a hoot?  I made this card for a good friend of mine who's retiring at the end of the month.  Needless to say, I'm SO JEALOUS!!  I've got 3 1/2 more years… pffffft!
Oh well, at least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!  Woo-hoo!
This is Sylvia from Art Impressions.  She's a hot mess right?  Sorta looks like me when I'm at work.  Tee-hee!  Anyhoo, I stamped the image onto some Strathmore watercolor paper and colored her with my new Inktense watercolor pencils.  I matted all the panels onto some SU Early Expresso cardstock using my Perfect Layers Mini tool and then stitched around the edges.  To finish, I added a few epoxy dots and tied some twine into a bow with a wooden button on top.

For the inside, I stamped another Art Impresssions stamp from the Golden Oldies line, "Lillie" and printed the sentiment with my computer.  I also added a piece of the patterned paper from the card front to the bottom of the inside to coordinate.
Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  I hope you hens have a MARVELOUS Monday and I'll see ya back in the hen house real soon.

  1. *snort* this is just THE P.E.R.F.E.C.T. card!!! So funny! Happy retirement to your friend!

  2. Love the card. I am about 4 1/2 years to retirement. (And counting the days.) :)

  3. Oh man what fantastic images and you used them SO well!!! Love it. And don't complain about how far retiring is, for some of us it is very far still.

I just love hearing from da hens!! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me. Cluckity-cluck!
