With Sympathy

Mornin' hens!  I have to admit, as much as I LOVE card marking, this is not the type of card I enjoy making.  Although, knowing that it may bring my friend comfort to know she is being thought of, makes it all worth while.  The card was quite simple to make actually since there was no coloring involved.  I embossed the DP with the same damask pattern as the DP and then matted it to some green CS using my Perfect Layers tool.  Using my Spellbinder Nestabilities, I created this nested label with the black and green cardstock, and patterned DP.  The sentiment is from an older Taylored Expressions set and I just added a few brads for interest.  I adhered the sentiment with a few dimensionals in between the layers and then finished by adding the black satin ribbon tied in a sweet bow.  Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  I hope you hens have a TERRIFIC Tuesday and I'll see ya back in the hen house real soon.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Hey there hens! Hope you all had a FANTASTIC weekend! The hubby and I have gotten a jump start on the renovations. Woo-hoo!! Needless to say, I had a GREAT weekend!

I did get a chance to make a coupla cards though.... However, today's card comes with a bit of sad news, as it will be my last card as a member of the Baker's Dozen Design Team. I have decided not to renew my contract and focus on my "new hen house in the making!" Yippeeee! It has been an honor to be a part of this team. Seriously, this is one TALENTED buncha ladies!! They are ALL so AMAAAAAZING and I will miss them dearly. BUT, that won't stop me from stalkin' their blogs!!! LOL! Love you guys!!!

I made this card using one of my favorite Taylored Expressions sets called, Doctor's Orders. A friend of ours is ill and I thought I'd send him a little pick me up card to brighten his day. I'm sure he'll get a chuckle out of it! I stamped my little nurse onto one of the labels in my Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Crafting Kit and colored her with my Copics. I matted the label with some SU Natural Ivory CS and then again with some SU Real Red. I matted the DP, also from the same CC collection, with the SU Real Red and stitched around the edges. I stamped the sentiment from the same set, and tied this saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow! I just LOVEEEE this little card. It just makes me smile!! Okee dokee, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know whatcha think. I'll see ya back in the hen house tomorrow morning!! {{{hen hugs}}}

My cat's not SPOILED!!

I'm just WELL TRAINED!! This card describes my friend Meahni to a TEE!! OMG, that little Jingle is SO spoiled it's not funny! LOL!! You've gotta check out her blog and see the photos of her babies. Little Jingle has a pretty pink nose and Meahni said she's gonna put sunscreen on it in the summer!! Pffft!! I told ya he was SPOILED!!
Ok, so for my card today I decided to use this image from the Pet's Place set from Taylored Expressions. I really like this set, and if you're a pet lover like Meahni and I, this is the set for you!! Another great thing about this set is, during the months of June, July and August, $7.00 will be donated to the Humane Society for each set sold. How great is that? So be sure to get your set ordered this month so you can help out too!! Yay!

So I stamped the image onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored it with my Copics to match Meahni and Jingle. LOL!! I matted the image with some Frosted Amethyst CS and adhered it to the DP with a few dimensionals. This DP is another one of my new paper pads from Cosmo Cricket called Pixie Licious. SOOOO pretty!! I punched the border behind the image with my Martha Stewart border punch and then tied this pretty purple saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and added the sentiment to finish!!

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today! Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think! Don't forget, you have until tonight at 7:00pm EST to enter my That's Krafty Thursday challenge. Just link your card to my August 12th post below and YOU could be the next KRAFTY CHICK!! It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions!

Mornin' hens!! Yep, today's the day!! Release day that is.... Today I made another cute little project with the Take Note set being released today from Taylored Expressions. This was a really simple project and I can honestly say, my Mom LOVED it! She and my Dad are big campers and they LOVE visiting all the different parks. She always keeps a listing of her favorite sites in each park so I thought I'd make her this little journal to keep track of them in. This is just a spiral index card notebook and I decorated the front with some CS, DP, ribbon, and of course my Take Note label set! I stamped the label onto some Choice Snow White CS and stamped the sentiment inside. Then I added these little red brads to each side of the label and adhered it to the DP with a few dimensionals. I matted the DP to the CS and adhered the piece to the front of the notebook. Then I finished by tying the ribbon around the front and made a pen to match! That's it! Super simple and what a fun little gift to give. Ok, I hope you've enjoyed my sneak peeks this week. Be sure to leave a cluck below and lemme know whatcha think, k? Don't forget to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen for some more great ideas using the two new sets being released today from Taylored Expressions! See ya back a little later for today's Double Post Friday! {{{hen hugs}}}

TE Sneak Peek Day 2

Hey hens... it's That's Krafty Thursday #37 AND Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 2!! Woo-hoo!! Lot's of fun today!

Today's card features the new set "Tweet Heart" that will be released tomorrow over at Taylored Expressions. This set has a couple of birds, a branch, a bird bath, a border and all sorts of little phrases too! I decided to make a fairly simple Thank You card today that you can whip up in no time. Sets like these are so handy when you need a quick little card and being they're silhouette images, NO COLORING IS REQUIRED! Easy peasy!! Ok, so I started by stamping my little bird onto some Choice Snow White CS with some brown dye ink and then cut him out with my circle punch. Then I added dots around the image with my Adirondack Dimensional Pearls in Expresso. I'm gettin' a lot of use outta that stuff, huh? LOL!! Ok, then once it was dry, I matted the image onto some brown CS punched with my scalloped circle punch and I matted the DP with the brown CS as well. I tied this pretty brown satin ribbon vertically into a cute bubbly bow and to finish, I stamped one of the many sentiments in this set on the bottom right corner and added one of these cute little butterflies to the top right corner. Okee dokee, that's it for me today. Be sure to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen for some more great ideas using this cute little set. See ya back in the hen house tomorrow!! Have a T-RIFIC Thursday! {{{hen hugs}}}

TE Sneak Peek Day 1

Hi there hens!! Are ya ready for another round of Sneak Peeks from Taylored Expressions?? Woo-hoo!! Today's sneak peek is featuring a new set being released this Friday called "Take Note". This set contains three labels and multiple sentiments too! I can think of a ton of different note pads to make with this set and what fun gifts they make too. Take for instance my little Grocery Lists notepads here. I made these for my Sister, Sister in Law and Aunt and they all three LOVED 'em!!

I started by stamping the label onto some Choice CS and then used two of the sentiments in the set "Grocery" and "List" and stamped them inside. These little Post It Notes are the 4x4 size and worked perfectly with the 8 1/2 x 11 CS from Taylored Expressions. Using the short side of the CS, I cut the CS just a little wider then the pad and scored the center with two parallel lines a 1/4" apart. This fit the notepad perfectly and I was able to make two from one sheet of CS. I used some Sticky Tape on the back side of the notepad to adhere it to the CS and then I decorated the front with some DP, ribbon, and my label of course.

Then I just HAD to make matching pens!! Tee-hee!! Oh yeah, this was HARD!! Pffftt!! Seriously, it took like one minute!! All ya gotta do is roll some of the DP into tubes and slide it into the barrel of the pen and that's it! What a great little addition to the notepads and super simple to boot! Taylored Expressions is also offering a new line of dies that coordinate with this set too! You're sure to want to include these with this set for easy cutting of the labels. Now to finish my little notepads, I adhered a business card magnet to the back, so you can hang them on the fridge, and I also added a little magnet to the pen and top corner of the notepad so the pen will always be handy!! If you're like me, seems I always have the pen or the pad but never BOTH!! Ok, that's it for me today, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think, ok? Wanna see some more great ideas for the Take Note set? Check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen below!

One donut a day...

...and everything's gonna be O-O-O-O-O-K! Ahhhh, ain't that the truth! I LOVE donuts! They make me SO haaap-peeeeeeee!! LOL!!

OMG, have you ever seen this video from Hallmark's Hoops and YoYo?? If not, ya gotta check it out HERE. Seriously, this is the funniest thing!! The bear in the middle (uuhhhh) just cracks me up! My daughter and I LOVVVEEEE Hoops and YoYo. My office is FULL of goodies and cards from them. I suppose I'm a bit of a Hallmark fanatic! Oh and who doesn't love Maxine! She's the BEST! He-he!!

So as I was making this card, that Hoops and YoYa video Ecard was playing over and over in my head. I LOVED that Ecard so much, my daughter actually found a Hoops and YoYa CD with it on it. I play it at work too!! LOL!! Click HERE for Hallmark’s Hoops and YoYo’s website if you’re interested. Ok, so I stamped this little donut, from the "Sprinkled with Love" set from Taylored Expressions, onto some Choice Snow White CS and colored it with my Copics. I added some Expresso Dimensional Pearls for the frosting and then added seed beads for the Jimmies!! This DP is from Three Bugs in a Rug and I picked it up ages ago. Not sure if it's still available or not, but it just reminds me of Neopolitan ice cream so I had to use it with my SUH-WEET card. Then as I was finishing the card, I thought a bubbly bow was just too busy with this DP so I decided on this cool metal flower that seemed to be a perfect companion to this DP, and I looped a little bit of satin ribbon under it. I think it's the perfect accent for this layout too! Wouldn't this be a great card to send to someone as a thank you or a pick me up card with a Dunkin Donut's gift card inside? OMG, I've gotta do that now! Okee dokee hens, I hope you have a SUPER Saturday and I'll see ya back in the hen house on Monday mornin'! {{{hen hugs}}}

Center of Attention Product Spotlight - Taylored Originals

I'm baaa-aack!!! Miss me?? LOL!! For my card today, I used a new product from Taylored Expressions called Paper Pretties. Now, I've used paper flowers in the past and I'll be the first to tell you, I've never been a fan of them because it never seems to fail, when I take them out of the package, they're all bent up. Uggh!!

Well, here's the cool thing about these. Now I'm not sure if I just got lucky but mine were perfect!! They're very well made and not flimsy at all. I don't know if they're made from a different kind of material but trust me, they're REALLY nice, and I LOVE the little stemen in the center of each flower. So cute!!

So with that said, here's my card I made with them. You know I had to pull double duty and make this card part of my That's Krafty Thursday #35 and I just LOVE how it turned out. I stamped this little vase directly onto the Kraft CS and colored the water with my Copics. I glued the Paper Pretties on with some craft glue and added a few brads to the sides. I cut the image out with my Scalloped Circle Nesties and matted it with some brown CS and again with the Kraft. This DP is from My Minds Eye's Garden Party collection and I finished with a little lace and some taffeta ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow. Now, here's the great news.... Taylored Expressions is offering these cute little flowers at a 15% discount today through Sunday. How cool is that? Be sure to check out all the other colors available too, Like me, I'm sure you'll want them all. Wanna see some more awesome ideas? Just hop on over to the rest of the Baker's Dozen DT playing along in today's Product Focus Spotlight and feast your eyes on some truely inspiring creations.

Hey there hens!! Did ya have a good weekend? Whew, mine was a little hectic to say the least! Bizzeee, bizzeee, bizzeee!! But I still was able to squeeze some craft time in! I mean, it's just not a weekend without SOME craft time, right? LOL!

Ok, so onto my card... This is one of the cute little stamps in the Cuppie in the Kitchen set from Taylored Expressions. I started by stamping Cuppie onto some Choice Snow White cardstock and colored her with my Copics. I added some dimensional pearls in Expresso to the frosting in the bowl and boy does it look yummy!! I cut the image out with my scalloped rectangle Nesties and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. I finished with a few chocolate brads, some velvet rick rack, and last but not least - a button tied with twine!! Okee dokee, that's it for me today. I hope you all have a MAH-VELOUS Monday!! It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions!

Hey hens!! Today is da day!! Yup, it's release day at Taylored Expressions. Woo-hoo!! Today I'm featuring two of the three sets being released today. My first card today was made using the set, "In the Park" and all the supplies used on the card are from the "Summertime" Project Pantry as well. But first, I have a hidden surprise on this card. It's a new HUGE background stamp Taylor is releasing today too! Let's see if you can find it? Look hard now.... LOL! I'm so bad!! Ok, ya give up? It's the fence behind the tree! Fooled ya huh? Seriously, this is a huge stamp and it's a stitched plaid pattern. A very nice addition to any background stamp collection. Now I already knew what scene I was going to create with this set but I couldn't quite figure out how I was going to incorporate this background stamp into it. I finally decided on a fence! So, I only inked one row of the stitching on the stamp and then pressed it against the lower portion of my CS. I stamped the tree right over the fence and again onto a separate piece of CS. I colored the second stamped tree with my Copics and cut only the trunk out with my Exacto knife. I stamped and colored the bench on a separate piece of CS too and cut it out with my Exacto knife and then added all the pieces to the main panel with the fence. The only thing that's really stamped and colored on the main panel is the tree leaves. Everything else is paper pieced. Next, I drew in some ground effects and grass with my Prismacolor pencils and sponged some chalk ink around the image as well. I matted the image with some green CS from the "Summertime" Project Pantry and adhered it to this great DP from the kit too! I tied this ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and finished by stamping the sentiment from this set and punching it out with my scalloped oval punch. Now, just so you know what all is included in the "Summertime" Project Pantry kit, here are some of the specifics:

20 sheets of 6x6 patterned paper from the Echo Park Summertime collection
14 sheets of 8.5x11 cardstock (Snow White neutral)
5 yards of ribbon (1 yard each of 5 different syles)
Sheet of coordinating stickers
Candy Dots (mixture of orange, baby blue, yellow glitter, and green glitter)
Buttons

Now, for my second card, I used the new set "Feeling Groovy" and I also used all the ingredients from the That's 70 Project Pantry kit too. I LOVED this little scooter from the set and decided to use it for my card. But seriously, there are tons of images in this set, and all from the FLOWER POWER era! Woo-hoo!! My high school years!! Ok, so I stamped my image onto some Choice CS and colored it with my Copics. I cut the image out with my big scalloped circle Nestie and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. I cut another big scalloped circle from the pink CS and matted it behind. I ran the two green panels through my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder and placed a glitter brad in each corner. To finish, I tied on this pretty green ribbon and there ya have a COOL card, dude! The "That's 70 Project Pantry" includes:

16 sheets of 6x6 patterned paper from the Doodlebug Feeling Groovy collection
12 sheets of 8.5x11 cardstock (Snow White neutral)
5 yards of ribbon (1 yard each of 5 different styles)
6 Peace Brads
16 Glitter Brads
24 Mylar Flowers
24 Rhinestone Flowers
6 Butterflies (2 each turquoise, hot pink, lime green)

Whew! That's a LOT of supplies so the possibilities are endless!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 2

Hey hens!! Today I'll be featuring one of the new sets being released tomorrow called "Weigh to Go!" from Taylored Expressions. This set has so many cute images, I had a hard time deciding which one to use. I finally decided on this phrase, "Dieting is Wishful Shrinking" LOL!! Ain't that the truth!! Of course, I thought the little black dress would fit right in, so I used it too!

I began by stamping both images on some Choice CS and colored them with my Copics. I cut the phrase out with my rectangle Nesties and cut the dress out with my Exacto knife. I sponged some chalk ink around the phrase and then matted it with some black CS. This DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl collection. I thought the measuring tape DP in the pack was perfect! Tee-hee! To finish, I tied this black stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and added a button to the center. Okee dokee, that's it for me today. Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 1

Hey there hens! Well I had a fabulous looong weekend! I hope yours was good as well. Today is Day 1 of this week's TE Sneak Peeks. Today I'll be featuring two of the four A La Carte images available on Thursday, July 8th from Taylored Expressions. My first card features "Destination New York". Oh, I hope I did it justice!! I'm not much of a city chick, so I hope I didn't mess these images up! LOL!! After I finished this card, I asked my DH, please tell me that's water behind that railing!! He laughed and said YES! Whew!!

Ok, so I stamped my image onto some Choice CS and colored it with my Copics. I cut the image out with my oval Nesties and then sponged some chalk ink around the edges with the die in place. I matted the image with some black CS and used my Fiskars border punch along the bottom edge. This DP and ribbon are from the new "Summertime" Project Pantry being released this Thursday. To finish, I stamped the sentiment (included with the image) and adhered it under the ribbon, tied in a cute bubbly bow!

For my second card, I used "Destination Seattle". I LOVED Cuppie's little umbrella and thought this would make a great Get Well card. Again, I used the paper and ribbon from the "Summertime" Project Pantry. I stamped the image on some Choice CS and colored it with my Copics. I matted it with some black CS to make it pop off the blue and then stamped the sentiment, also included with this image, onto the DP below. I tied the ribbon from the kit around the yellow panel and finished with a little clear glaze on Cuppie's chocolate ice cream. Okee dokee, that's it for me today. Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think, k? Wanna see some more great ideas? Hop on over to the rest of the Baker's Dozen and get ready to be WOW'd!! {{{hen hugs}}}

You're SO Tweet!

Hey there! You hens havin' a good day? I'm gettin' excited about the looooong weekend coming up and all the celebrating!! There's a parade and fireworks on Saturday and then we're going to my parents for a BBQ on Sunday! Sounds busy - but fun! The 4th of July is my daughter's FAVORITE holiday so she's SUPER excited.

Ok, so whatcha think of my little card today? Kinda different for a Thank You card but I like it! This little image is from the Pet's Place set from Taylored Expressions. Remember, this set is part of the Giving Tree program where $7 of each set is donated to the Humane Society. LOVE THAT!! I picked this paper from Sassafras Lass cuz' I just adore those little monsters on the side... hehe! I paired it with some striped paper and dot paper, both from the same paper pack and then colored my little parrot to match using my Copics. I cut him out with my Nestie Labels 4 and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. I stamped the sentiment (also from the same set), punched it out with my circle punch and added a button to the center. And to finish, I tied this black grosgrain ribbon into a cute little bow. Ain't it TWEET??

Oh, almost forgot! I wanted to remind you to leave a cluck on my TKT#32 post below, from last Thursday. I'll be drawing one LUCKY hen's cluck to win a $10 gift certificate from AesaLina's store. I'll announce the lucky hen's name tomorrow!

Okee dokee, that's it for me today. Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know whatcha think of muh card, k? See ya back tomorrow for That's Krafty Thursday! Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday! {{{hen hugs}}}

Congrats!!

Woo-hoo!! TGIF!! OMG, was this the longest week evah or what? Thank goodness it's time for the weekend... You hens got any plans for da roosters in your coop? Hmmm, I think my rooster is hinting to go to the Cheesecake Factory to stuff his craw! No complaints from this hen!! Nuh-uh! I'm all over that! Their cheesecake is to die for, seriously! Oh, and none of that sharin' bizness..... I want my OWN! I'm just sayin'.....

Ok, so today I thought I'd whip up a little baby card since I haven't done one in awhile. I decided to use the "Hangin Out" set from Taylored Expressions. I stamped the little onezie onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored it with my Copics. I stamped the sentiment, also from the set underneath the image. I cut the image out with my circle Nestie and matted it with some brown CS cut with my scalloped circle Nestie for a little contrast. The DP is from October Afternoon's Fly a Kit collection and I rounded the corners and stitched around the edges. To finish, I added a few buttons and tied this cream twill ribbon into a cute bubbly bow. Okee dokee hens, that's it for me this week! I hope you all have a great day and wonderful "Rooster" day as well. See ya back in the hen house on Monday! {{{hen hugs}}}

You can read all about the subscription details HERE.

The June Key Ingredients has DP from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite collection. Ahhhh, I just LOVEEEE October Afternoon!! This paper is so pretty!! Anyhoo, this month's KI challenge was to create your own flower embellishment from the kit. Actually, this challenge proved fairly simple for me. The little die cut flowers, paper flowers and buttons are all part of the June KI kit, so building the flower from these elements was really easy. I started with the polka dot pink DP from the kit and matted it with both the Choice Buttercream and the Red CS from the kit and stitched around the edges. I placed the die cut flower stems behind the grass that I cut from the green CS from the kit and built the flowers on top. I stamped the sentiment from the Garden Party Blooms set and cut it out with my Nesties and threaded the twill ribbon through both ends. I finished by adding twine to the buttons and placing them over the ribbon ends and also in the center of each flower. Simple but cute, huh? Don't forget to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen DT participating in the challenge and as an added bonus, we've also linked to several current KI subscribers who are participating in this month's challenge, as well. If anyone knows how super cool these kits are, it's these gals! Okee dokee, that's it for me today, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what you think! {{{hen hugs}}}

It's release day at Taylored Expressions!

Oh boy, this is it, this is the day you've been waiting for.... Today is release day at Taylored Expressions and I'll be featuring my remaining two sets today. The first set I'll be featuring is called Summer Afternoon. This set was designed by Nancy McKinney. Lot's of pretty images to remind you of a gorgeous summer afternoon. For my card, I stamped the images onto some Choice Buttercream CS in Dark Chocolate ink.
Then, using my chalk inks, I sponged the sky behind them for this rich sunset. I cut the image out with my scalloped square Nesties and layered the image with alternate colors of cardstock using pop dots between the layers for LOTS of dimension. To finish, I tied some pretty grosgrain ribbon (from the Pet's Place Project Pantry) into a little bow and adhered it to the base of the flowers. Definitely a different look for me, but I really like it!

For my second card today, I used BOTH the Summer Afternoon and Care & Comfort sets. The Care & Comfort set is a set of sentiments, many of which were created to fit inside the pretty frame from the Summer Afternoon set. Definitely a great set to add to your collection! I know I'm always on the lookout for that perfect sentiment!
For this card, I stamped the Summer Afternoon frame onto some Choice Snow White CS with some Dark Chocolate ink and then stamped the sentiment inside the frame. It may not show up in the photo, but the Dark Chocolate CS has the vine from the Summer Afternoon set stamped multiple times diagonally in Versamark Ink for a nice subtle tone on tone look. I placed a horizontal piece of DP from the October Afternoon Fly a Kite collection and matted it with alternating pieces of Dark Chocolate and Snow White CS. Then I tied on this pretty satin white ribbon and finished by matting the piece with Dark Chocolate and Snow White CS and finished with little white brads in each corner. Sympathy cards are always tough for me, but I really LOVE how this turned out. Ok, I hope you've enjoyed my TE sneak peeks this week and be sure to check out all the rest of the Baker's Dozen for their final day of peeks as well. They're sure to impress!!! Happy Friday! {{{hen hugs}}}

TE Sneak Peek - Day 3

I know - I know, I'm killin' ya right? Bwah-ha-ha-ha!!! Today I'll be featuring "Hangin Out - at the Beach" from Taylored Expressions. Now, you hens know today is Thursday, so this card will play double duty and work as my That's Krafty Thursday #29 card too!! Woo-hoo!!

Now, if you hens are like me, trying on bathing suits has to be the MOST DREADED shopping event EVER!! Now, don't get me wrong, I love shopping just as much as any chick, but not for a bathing suit!! Smiley Yeah, that's me in the dressing room! LOL! So when I saw this sentiment, I thought, "isn't that a perfect wish!" I LOVE IT!! I knew right away I had to make a little card with the "itsy-bitsy-teenie-weenie yellow polka dot bikini (but not on Jeanie!)" in the set and use this sentiment with it. *snort*

I stamped my image onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored it with my Copics. I cut it out with my deckled rectangle Nesties and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. This DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Snorkle collection and I just love the bright summer colors in it. The bottom DP is actually the reverse side of the top DP, cool huh? LOVE double sided DP!! I wanted to continue with the texture look of the DP, so I ran the top DP through my Cuttlebug using the "distressed stripes" embossing folder. It looks really cute IRL!! To finish, I dug through my stash and found the perfect bright yellow grosgrain ribbon and tied it in a cute bubbly bow with a button on top!! Now what hen wouldn't love to give this to a girlfriend as a "pick me up" or "thinking of you" card? Now THAT'S KRAFTY!

So, ya wanna play along in my TKT challenge??? Just submit a card using Mr. Linky below before next Wednesday, June 9th at 7:00 pm EST. The only requirement is to use Kraft paper... that's it!! Nothing hard to it. Me LOVEEEE easy peasy!! I'll pick my THAT'S KRAFTY THURSDAY TOP THREE and post thumbnails of the winner's cards here on my blog next Thursday, June 10th. YOU might just be the next KRAFTY CHICK!!

Ok, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think of my card today and check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen for some AWESOME ideas using this set and others.

TE Sneak Peek - Day 2

Woo-hoo!! I've got another sneak peek for ya!! I know, isn't that terrible me teasing you like that?? Nah!! You can tell, I'm havin' too much fun doing it, can't ya!! LOL!! So for today, I will be featuring the "Udderly Sweet" set from Taylored Expressions. This set just cracks me up!! That lil' cuppie is one busy FARMER!! For my card, I chose the little cuppie ridin' on a John Deere tractor. OMG!! He's so stinkin' cute and that sentiment is SO ME!!

All the supplies used on my card are from the coordinating Udderly Sweet Project Pantry which can be purchased with or without the stamps.
The kit will include:
20 sheets 6x6 paper (Garden Variety)
12 sheets of cardstock
5 yards of ribbon
Vegetable and tractor brads
Candy Dots - (Red, Yellow, Spring Green)
Paper Flowers

So I stamped little cuppie onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored him with my Copics. I cut him out with my scalloped square Nesties and sponged a little chalk ink around the edges. I added some dimension by layering him with the red cardstock and then again with the Buttercream and finally with the green. I used my SU scalloped border punch along the bottom edge and cut the sentiment out with my oval Nesties, sponging the center with my chalk ink. To finish, I tied the pretty red ribbon into a cute bubbly bow, for one SUPER CUTE card. Cuppie reminds me of Oliver Douglas on Green Acres, whaddaya think? ROFL!!! LOVED that show!!

Ok, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think. For more ideas using this set and others, check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen below. Have a great Wednesday!

TE Sneak Peek - Day 1

Hi there!! I'd like for you to meet Emily!! I don't think I've ever introduced da hens to my little baby, so in honor of today's SPECIAL sneak peek, here she is!! The one and only, SPOILED TOTALLY ROTTEN Emily!! So you're probably wondering what does Emily have to do with today's sneak peek?? Well, today the Baker's Dozen will be featuring sneak peeks from the new set "Pet's Place" so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to show you my little baby. OMG!! Wait til' you see this set. I'm such a sucker for anything with animals, and this set even has an added bonus that makes it SUPER SWEET, and I know you hens will think so too!!

Here's why... Taylored Expressions supports various charities through the TE Giving Tree Program, and a new stamp set is introduced every 3 months to support a new charity. This quarter, the TE Giving Tree Program will be supporting The Humane Society of the United States. The Humane Society of the United States is the nation's largest and most effective animal protection organization. The HSUS seeks a humane and sustainable world for all animals—a world that will also benefit people. They are America's mainstream force against cruelty, exploitation and neglect, as well as the most trusted voice extolling the human-animal bond. HSUS is also the lead disaster relief agency for animals, and they provide direct care for thousands of animals at sanctuaries and rescue facilities, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and mobile veterinary clinics. Read more about HSUS here.

Pet's Place will be available in the TE Store on Friday morning at 11 am EST. $7 from the sale of each set will be donated to HSUS. Please remember that sets in the Giving Tree Program are the same high quality deeply etched pink rubber on EZ Mount as all other TE stamp sets, however unlike other TE sets, you will need to trim these images yourself. This allows for lower production costs and more to be donated to the charity.

For my first card today, I used this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #115 and one of the cute little pooches in the Pet's Place set. Aint' he cute?? In addition, I'm also featuring the Pet's Place Project Pantry as well. This kit includes the DP from the Basic Grey Max & Whiskers collection. OMG, I SO LOVE this collection!! The colors are just so earthy and ya'll know that's right up my alley!!You can purchase the Pet's Place Project Pantry with the Pet's Place stamp set for only $44.90, or without the stamp set for $22.95. The kit includes enough supplies to make anywhere from 12-20 cards!! What a deal, not to mention helps out a great cause when you add the stamps!! Mwah to all da hens who help da lil' animals!! Woo-hoo!

Ok, so I stamped my little pooch onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored him with my Copics. I stitched around the edges of the image and the DP. I used this super cute new EK Success "Paw Print" border punch along the top and bottom of the matted image and added some brads to finish. I just LOVE how this turned out!

For my second card today, I used another image from the Pet's Place set and the Pet's Place Project Pantry too! Check out this little fish's lips and eyes!! Oh man, is he a hoot or what?? I LOVE this sentiment too! Just perfect for a thank you card, don'tcha think? Ok, so I stamped him onto the Choice Buttercream CS, colored him with my Copics, and stitched around the edges. I placed the little brads in each corner to make the image pop and finished with the ribbon and sentiment at the bottom. Ok, that's it for me today. I hope you've enjoyed my first day of sneak peeks. Be sure to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen for some more great ideas using this set and the Project Pantry too! Leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think! {{{hen hugs, oh and pet hugs too!}}}
