Sorry, I guess I can't fix OLD!!

Ok, so here's another Digi Shack image I colored up. As soon as I saw her this is what popped into my head. My girlfriend is turning 50 soon so I thought this was PERFECT! Don't you want ME for a friend? Ha! Kinda like a bad cold, huh? Nothing mushy or sappy from this gal! It's fun, funny and funnier for me. Ok, I do occasionally make a few NICE ones but only for those who don't take to teasin' very well. Lemme tell ya, I've had a few of those and learned my lesson for future cards. Ouch! As for me, well I just LOVEEEEE my birthday! I don't care if I'm turning 90, I'm still gonna love it. I'm a BIG kid about it too! Lot's of presents and it lasts all week long!! YIPPPEEE!

I colored my little fairy godmother with my Copics and shaded with my Lyras. The card base is the new IN COLOR from Stampin Up called Soft Suede. I paired it with some A2Z patterend paper and stitched around the edges. I matted her with some scrap red paper that I punched with an EK Success border punch on one side and stitched around the edges of this piece as well. I tied a bow with some SU taffeta ribbon and wrapped some twine around it and tied it off with a button on top. Oh, and to add a little bling to 'ol granny, I gussied her up with lots Glamour Dust on her wings. You can click on the image and see her all sparkly!! That's about it! Leave me a comment below and I hope you have a GREAT day!

Another "dog"gone birthday...

It's Monday.... yeah, phoooee right? I hope you had a good weekend. I didn't do much, too hot here in Florida. We did go to my Mom and Dad's for a BBQ on Saturday though. That's always fun. My whole family shows up so there's lots of people all gabbing and laughing, and the kids play in my parent's backyard. Oh, and not to mention the EATING. Whew! I still feel like a tick! {He-he!} You know I had to throw in some dog humor.

On Sunday after church I stayed in my craft room and made a few cards. This one is for my cousin's birthday. This image is from The Digi Shack and he just makes me laugh with those googly eyes. I printed the image and colored him with my Copics, although I did shade around the edges with my Lyras. The Lyras just give a little more softer look for shading I think. I used my rectangle Nesties to cut and emboss the image piece and the scalloped mat. The card base in SU Chocolate Chip and the patterned paper is from October Afternoon. This is from the Weathervane collection. The reverse side of this paper is POLKA DOTS!! Too cute! Ummm, did I mention I was a paper freak? I punched two flowers from white cardstock using my Marvy flower punch and matted them to a SU Chocolate Chip square that I punched with my SU Ticket Punch. I then punched two holes and used two orange brads for the flower centers. I was trying to match the flowers in the paper. I finished the card off with some ribbon I picked up at Walmart. There you have it. I hope you have a great day!

Whoa! Where'd this rash come from?

Doesn't it look like that's what he's saying? As soon as I saw this image over at "the Digi Shack" I thought, "oh my gosh, he's hilarious!" I don't have many digital images, maybe a dozen or so but they have some really cute ones over at the Digi Shack. The cool thing about a digital image is you can print them at whatever size you need. Very versatile and easy peasy to use. I was a little concerned that the image may smear while I colored it, but it didn't, so I was good to go. Yay!!

I printed this little guy on an 8.5x11 piece of SU Kraft CS and made a tri fold card with it. I have to admit, it took several tries on copy paper to get the sentiment aligned with the image and then to print another sentiment on the center fold inside. But after a few measurements and test pages, it turned out perfect. I colored him with my Lyra pencils and trimed an inch or so off the top and bottom of the front flap so the patterned paper on the second flap would show behind him. The patterned paper is from Fancy Pants' Kraft Kuts line. You remember how much I like kraft paper, right? LOVE it!! I finished by wrapping some ribbon around the card, making two slits in the front to thread it through, and tied it closed. Whoa! I just love it, don't you? Hope you have a great day!
