You're SO Tweet!

Hey there! You hens havin' a good day? I'm gettin' excited about the looooong weekend coming up and all the celebrating!! There's a parade and fireworks on Saturday and then we're going to my parents for a BBQ on Sunday! Sounds busy - but fun! The 4th of July is my daughter's FAVORITE holiday so she's SUPER excited.

Ok, so whatcha think of my little card today? Kinda different for a Thank You card but I like it! This little image is from the Pet's Place set from Taylored Expressions. Remember, this set is part of the Giving Tree program where $7 of each set is donated to the Humane Society. LOVE THAT!! I picked this paper from Sassafras Lass cuz' I just adore those little monsters on the side... hehe! I paired it with some striped paper and dot paper, both from the same paper pack and then colored my little parrot to match using my Copics. I cut him out with my Nestie Labels 4 and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. I stamped the sentiment (also from the same set), punched it out with my circle punch and added a button to the center. And to finish, I tied this black grosgrain ribbon into a cute little bow. Ain't it TWEET??

Oh, almost forgot! I wanted to remind you to leave a cluck on my TKT#32 post below, from last Thursday. I'll be drawing one LUCKY hen's cluck to win a $10 gift certificate from AesaLina's store. I'll announce the lucky hen's name tomorrow!

Okee dokee, that's it for me today. Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know whatcha think of muh card, k? See ya back tomorrow for That's Krafty Thursday! Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday! {{{hen hugs}}}

Woo-hoo, it's Monday!!

Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net I just HAD to say that to aggravate Meahni! She SO HATES Mondays! LOL!!

So did you hens have a good weekend? I was pretty productive in my stamping room this weekend. Didn't go outside except for a little grocery shopping. It's SO HOT here! I know last June was the same way but it sure seems hotter this year! Ugggggh!

Ok, onto today's card. This little card was for my sister in law's birthday last week. Seriously, I have the BESTEST sister in law EVAH!! I'd throw my brother away and take her anyday! ROFL!! Not really, uh.. well maybe!! Teehee!! So I decided to use Izzie has a Prezzie from Stamping Bella for Stacey's card. I think she turned out super cute, don't you? I saw this ruffled technique done on a card awhile back and wanted to give it a try. I really love how it looks.

I used this great DP from My Minds Eye's Out & About collection. Not sure if this collection is still availabe since I've had this for quite some time. When I rummage back through my DP, it's like going to the store all over again. LOL!! That's bad isn't it? Yep, I have THAT much DP! *sigh*

Ok, well that's it for me today. Don't forget this week's Bellarific Friday's theme is SQAURE cards. Easy peasy, huh? Just submit your card to Emily via email by this Thursday for a chance to win some cool Bellabucks!! Whooopee!! Okee dokee, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know whatcha think. See ya back on Wednesday! {{{hen hugs}}}

WILD about you!

Hey there! Are ya wore out from all that hoppin? Not to worry, you can rest up and sit a spell right here in the chicken coop with da rest of da hens! LOL! If you've just happened upon my blog today, be sure to start back at JODIE's blog so you don't miss any lovin'!

This week's Catch the Bug challenge theme is "love is in the air". How suh-weet!! Now this theme is pretty wide open... it could be a wedding, anniversary or even a friendship card. Ok, so I decided on an anniversary card for my DH. Our annivesary is next month, so this was a perfect challenge for me.

I began with one of the giraffe blocks named "two love" from Bugaboo Stamps. I printed them on some Choice Buttercream CS and colored them with my Copics. This DP is from DCWV Safari collection and I thought it went PERFECT with this image. I matted the image with some SU Chocolate Chip CS and stitched around the edges. I punched the bottom edge using my SU scalloped border punch and added the computer generated sentiment to the side. I finished with this cute brown saddle stitched ribbon and added a button in the center. Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. I hope you hens all have a fabby weekend. It's time to fly the coop now and visit SHEILA. I'm sure she has some LOVE to share with ya too....... {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy Bellarific Birf-day!

It's a Bellarific "Birf-day" Friday!! So who's birf-day is it, you ask? Why it's none other than da Bella herself - Emily! Shhhh! She doesn't know it, but all da Bella Babes fooled her with this week's Bellarific Friday. She thinks she just posting all our cards for this week's sketch by Jodibella (which btw is da bomb!)

Ya think maybe she'll figure it out when she see's all our cards are birthday themed too???? Hmmmm??? ROFL!!! Oh how I LOVEEEE surprises!

Ok, so for my card I decided to use "Cuppacakeabella" from Stamping Bella. Uh yeah, I HAD to use a BELLA image for Emily!! HELLLOOOO? She IS da BELLA!! LOL!! My sistah Paulabella sent me this image a few weeks back in a little goodie package. Paulabella knows how much the Chicken LOVES packages!! (happy dance!) Thanks Paulabella! I can't believe I didn't have this image!! So cute! Ok, so I colored her with my Copics and cut her out with my oval Nesties but leaving her leg extending beyond the cut edge. I used this SUPER CLEVER technique that my BFF Meahni came up with for cutting out an image but leaving some of the image extending outside of the Nestie shape. You can see Meahni's tutorial on this technique HERE. Then of course, I finished the layout following Jodiebella's sketch using this great DP from SEI's Happy Day collection, which is perfect for a birthday card. After I was all done, I decided my image needed a little something else, so I decided to try Crissy Armstrong's dot technique around the image. You can see Crissy's tutorial HERE. I fell in LOVE with Shannon's card from yesterday's TKT winners, where she used this technique around her lions. So, I thought I'd give it a try. I need to practice more but I rather like the look!! I LOVE trying new things! Ok, that's it from the hen house today. Hope you hens all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY and be sure to fly on over to Bloggabella and check out what the other Bella Babes have in store for the birf-day girl! {{{hen hugs}}}

Coloring Cuppie Tutorial

Hey hens!! Well, it took me long enough but I finally finished another video tutorial for you. This is just a little video demonstration on how I color my Taylored Expression's Cuppies with my Copics. I have no art background nor have I ever taken a Copic class in my life. I've just played around with the few colors I have and this is my technique for Cuppies. Enjoy!

It's TKT #32 & Oldie but Goodie Day too!

Hey there! Ready for this week's announcement of the TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS??? Woo-hoo!! Man, this week was an AWESOME week of entries!! You hens ROCK!! But I must say, the Kraftier you get, the HARDER it is for me. *sigh* Ok, now that I've wiped the drool off my chin, here are this week's TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS!!

CONGRATULATIONS Niki, Shannon and Dana!!
You're THREE KRAFTY CHICKS!!

WHOA!! Aren't they AMAAAAAZING?? You can click on each image above and go to each winner's blog to see the full card and all the details. While you're there, be sure to leave 'em a {{{hen hug}}}. I know they'd LOVE to hear from da hens!!

Now onto even more exciting news. It's Oldie but Goodie day over at Catch the Bug! Today Cheryl and I, and a few more Bugaboo DT members, are each gonna use an older image pulled from our stash!! I decided to use an image called "Grow People" from my JJ Pregnancy set. Oh man, is this a hoot or what? I'm totally in LOVE with this whole set. I told Jodie I couldn't pick just one of these images, I HAD to have them ALL!! LOL!!

Now, I've got lots to tell you about this card so stay with me hens... Ok, first off I printed my image from Bugaboo Stamps onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored her with my Copics. Once I was finished coloring, I cut JJ out with my Exacto knife and adhered her to this DP from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop. I had ran this piece of DP through my printer and added the sentiment already. Once I glued JJ onto the DP, I added some shading below her feet to ground the image. I stitched the DP onto some SU Chocolate Chip CS and used my SU Scalloped border punch along the right side. Now, as if this card isn't cute enough, I want to tell you about the embellishments I used too. A few weeks ago, I was asked by a SUPER SPECIAL hen if I would like to use some of her handmade flowers and trim on my cards!! Uh, HELLLOOOOO??? Shoooo-weeee, once I saw these beauties I couldn't say YES fast enough! Smiley Can you believe it??? Yep, that flower is handmade from satin, tulle and lace!! Even that blue vintage lace ribbon is all hand dyed!! Whoa!! Both of these beautiful embellishments are the exclusive creations of AesaLina over at PixiePetals. OMG!! You have GOT to go check out her flowers and buttons..... Seriously, you will have a FIT!! Well, I did and I was SO excited over putting my card together using these fabulous embellies that I clean forgot to use KRAFT on muh card!! Oh my!! Sorry hens, but thank goodness you hens didn't forget and TKT wasn't a total BUST!! Whew!! But I must admit, I am SO IN LOVE with this card and how it turned out, even if I did forget to use my Kraft!!!

Now for those hens who stayed with me through all my blabbing, how would you like to win some of AesaLina's creations?? She has generously offered to give one lucky hen a $10 gift certificate to her store. Woo-hoo!! Just leave a cluck below by next Wednesday at 7:00pm EST and I'll select one lucky hen using Random.org and post the winner next Thursday. In the mean time, click on the icon to the right to check out all the pretty things AesaLina has created and let me know which one is YOUR favorite. If you're like me, you won't be able to choose just one - you'll want them ALL! LOL!!

Okee dokee, that's it for me today. Don't forget to leave a cluck below and let me know what you think of my card.... Oh, and be sure to fly on over to Catch the Bug and see what other fabby creations the Bugaboo DT came up with from their stash!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Bzzzzzz!

Man, I worked my butt off (umm wait a minute, nah it's still there - darn it!) this past weekend... not to mention it's 100 stinkin' degrees here!! Uggh! I washed my car, vacuumed my car, cleaned all the car windows inside, pulled weeds, trimmed all the hedges, washed down the lanai, cleaned the birdbath AND washed Emily (my dog - NOT da Bella! ROFL!) So I was pooped, to say the least. Ahhhh, but it does feel good to get it all done!

Ya know, I don't know what it is about this little bug, but I do LOVE 'EM! Those googly eyes just crack me up! This is Miles the Dragonfly from Stamping Bella. I stamped him onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored him with my Copics. I matted him with some SU Real Red CS and stitched around the edges. I added some Glossy Accents to his goggles and a little Glamour Dust to his wings. I sponged some chalk ink around the edges and adhered the piece to this great DP from Cosmo Cricket's Jack's World. To finish, I added three brads and tied this grosgrain ribbon around the bottom half. I think it makes for a SUPER cute little boy card, don't you?

Okay, that's it from da hen house today. Now, don't forget Bellarific Friday is baaaacccck this week and we've got this fabby sketch from Jodibella. Be sure to email your cards to Emily by this Thursday at emily@stampingbella.com.

Oh, and don't forget my That's Krafty Thursday challenge too! You've still got time. The deadline for submission isn't until Wednesday at 7:00pm EST. Hurry, I can't wait to see what da hens have been up to! See ya back in the hen house this Thursday for the reveal of this weeks TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS!! Who knows, it might just be YOU!! Have a SUPER DUPER Tuesday! {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy Father's Day!

Hey hens.... I was gonna post this card tomorrow morning but I thought, hey - why not go ahead and post it today, since today IS Father's Day!! This is "The Big Guy's Garden" by Mo Manning from Stamping Bella. Isn't he GREAT?

I made this card for my DH for his "Rooster Day" card. As soon as I saw this image, I knew immediately THIS WAS THE IMAGE for his card. Why? Ok, let me tell you this little story.... About two months ago, the rooster and I were perusing the aisles of WalMart and he said, "hey, let's go to the garden department!". Huh? Garden department? (Uh, FYI - "WE DON'T DO DIRT") Ok, so we go outside and he finds this tomato plant. ??? I'm thinking, wuddup wid'da plant??? So he says, he's gonna grow his own tomatoes for us. ?? Ya think? Now, my DH is an excellent cook and does about 99.9% of ALL the cookin' in this house, cuz' da hen, well she ain't no good at it! *sigh* (I can't boil water without instructions, for that matter!) Ok, so that was two months ago.... and each day he goes out to check on his little may-der plant and na-dah! Zippo!! No may-ders to be seen!! It's so sad watching him wait. Smiley Honestly, he's done everything but sing to it, and that might kill it so it's best he not do that! LOL!! Oh well, it's really pretty, about 3ft tall now! I'm thinking it might make a great tree for Christmas! ROFL!! Ok, so now you see why I just HAD to have this stamp for his card. He got the biggest kick out of it when he opened it too! Yay!! The hen did good!

Ok, so I colored my may-der man with my Copics and stitched it to some SU Chocolate Chip that I punched with my Martha Stewart border punch along the side. This DP is from My Minds Eye Places You'll Go collection and I added a few brads for interest. I printed the sentiment and stitched it to the bottom of the DP to finish. Okee dokee, that's it for me today. Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think, k? I'll see ya back in the coop on Tuesday morning and don't forget to submit your cards for my That's Krafty Thursday challenge. Just link it up on my TKT post from June 17th. {{{hen hugs}}}

Congrats!!

Woo-hoo!! TGIF!! OMG, was this the longest week evah or what? Thank goodness it's time for the weekend... You hens got any plans for da roosters in your coop? Hmmm, I think my rooster is hinting to go to the Cheesecake Factory to stuff his craw! No complaints from this hen!! Nuh-uh! I'm all over that! Their cheesecake is to die for, seriously! Oh, and none of that sharin' bizness..... I want my OWN! I'm just sayin'.....

Ok, so today I thought I'd whip up a little baby card since I haven't done one in awhile. I decided to use the "Hangin Out" set from Taylored Expressions. I stamped the little onezie onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored it with my Copics. I stamped the sentiment, also from the set underneath the image. I cut the image out with my circle Nestie and matted it with some brown CS cut with my scalloped circle Nestie for a little contrast. The DP is from October Afternoon's Fly a Kit collection and I rounded the corners and stitched around the edges. To finish, I added a few buttons and tied this cream twill ribbon into a cute bubbly bow. Okee dokee hens, that's it for me this week! I hope you all have a great day and wonderful "Rooster" day as well. See ya back in the hen house on Monday! {{{hen hugs}}}

Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Challenge

Hello there!! My card today features the June Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions.

Key Ingredients are card kits available through Taylored Expressions as a monthly subscription service. The kits can be purchased in 3 or 6 month subscriptions and include cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon, and lots of fun embellishments, enough to make up to 16 cards. How cool is that? Just think, no more shopping from store to store, trying to find the right color of cardstock or ribbon to match your paper, just sit back and relax and PRESTO, it's all done for you! You can read all about the subscription details HERE.

The June Key Ingredients has DP from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite collection. Ahhhh, I just LOVEEEE October Afternoon!! This paper is so pretty!! Anyhoo, this month's KI challenge was to create your own flower embellishment from the kit. Actually, this challenge proved fairly simple for me. The little die cut flowers, paper flowers and buttons are all part of the June KI kit, so building the flower from these elements was really easy. I started with the polka dot pink DP from the kit and matted it with both the Choice Buttercream and the Red CS from the kit and stitched around the edges. I placed the die cut flower stems behind the grass that I cut from the green CS from the kit and built the flowers on top. I stamped the sentiment from the Garden Party Blooms set and cut it out with my Nesties and threaded the twill ribbon through both ends. I finished by adding twine to the buttons and placing them over the ribbon ends and also in the center of each flower. Simple but cute, huh? Don't forget to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen DT participating in the challenge and as an added bonus, we've also linked to several current KI subscribers who are participating in this month's challenge, as well. If anyone knows how super cool these kits are, it's these gals! Okee dokee, that's it for me today, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what you think! {{{hen hugs}}}

Just married...

...you poor things!! ROFL!! (just kiddin'!) Isn't this a great image? This is "tied-the-knot-abella" from Stamping Bella. I love this car and the look on Bella's face is PRICELESS!! I stamped the image onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored it with my Copics. I matted the image with some SU Night of Navy CS and again with the Buttercream CS, then stitched around the edges. This DP is from My Minds Eye Home Collection and I matted it with the SU Night of Navy CS and also with the Choice Buttercream as well. I wanted just a little bit of sparkle and shine, so I used my Glamour Dust on the bells and also on Bella's roses in her hair and then I used my clear glaze pen for the red tailights. To finish, I punched a border with my Martha Stewart border punch from the SU Chocolate Chip CS and placed it between the two DP's and then tied this pretty blue satin ribbon into a cute bubbly bow. That's it for me today, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what you think. I hope you all have a MAAAH-VULOUS Monday! {{{hen hugs}}}

Ok, so for my card today, I just had to pull out Over the Hill Stella from Bugaboo Stamps! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! Nothing like a sistah who likes to rub it in, huh? Ok, so I printed Stella onto some Choice Snow White CS and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my oval Nestie and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. I matted the image with another piece of Snow White CS cut with the scalloped oval Nestie and adhered it with several dimensionals for lots of depth. This DP is from My Minds Eye - Places You'll Go collection and I matted it with some SU Night of Navy CS and stitched around the edges. And last but not least, A BUBBLY BOW!! Are you a SOCCER NUT??

Well if you are, you already know that the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa kicked off yesterday! My good friend Meahni who lives in South Africa, sent me a few pictures from Johannesburg. Wow, I don't know if I've ever seen SO many people!! She was so excited that her team played well yesterday and tied with Mexico. So, do you know who's playing today??? Yep, the good 'ol USA!! Woo-hoo!!

So with all this going on, how perfect is this week's Catch the Bug challenge theme of,
"Show your team colors!"
To participate, just make a card using either the team colors of the country that you want to win the World Cup, the colors of your national flag, or the colors of your favorite sports team!! Then link your card up over at Catch the Bug and you might just be the lucky winner of some FREE Bugaboo Stamps images. Woo-hoo!!

Now for my challenge card, I'm supporting both my country in the World Cup, and I used the colors of our flag. I would so LOVE for the USA to do well in the World Cup! Red, White and Blue are the colors of our flag, so I tied those colors into my card using some DP from K & Co's Sleep Tree collection, and used one of yesterday's Freebie Friday images too. Isn't this little soccer nut some kinda cute? I printed the image on some Kraft CS, then I cut him out with my Exacto knife and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the "mesh" embossing folder. Sometimes your feel like a nut, sometimes you don't! LOL!! He looks just like a nut, don't he??? Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! I'm thrilled with how this card turned out and I LOVE being able to show my support of our country's team today. Go USA!! Be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what you think and don't forget to pop over to Catch the Bug and get ready to feast your eyes on lots more FABBY ideas to get your SPORTS MOJO up and running!! It's Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps!

NOPE NO TYPO, you hens read it right - FREE images!!! Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

This is just one of the SUPER CUTE images available today over at Bugaboo Stamps!! And ya know, with Rooster Day (uh, I mean Father's Day) just around the corner, isn't this the perfect card??? Hoot-hoot!! I LOVE IT!!

I started by printing my image onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored the image with my Copics. I stitched around the edges using black thread and adhered the image to this cute DP from Basic Grey's Max & Whiskers collection with a few dimensionals for depth. I wanted to add some faux golfballs, so I ran the Buttercream CS through my Cuttlebug "tiny bubbles" embossing folder and then punched the circles out with my circle punch. I sponged a little chalk ink around the edges, matted them with black CS and added the computer generated sentiment on top of each. What a great little card for DEAR OL DAD!! LOL!! Okee dokee, that's it for this hen today. Be sure to check out what the other DT members did with the FREE images today over at Catch the Bug! Don't forget to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think, k? You hens all have a great Freebie Friday!! {{{hen hugs}}}

That's Krafty Thursday #30

Whoa!! I've been doin' TKT for 30 weeks now??? Wow, how time flies!! Well, I must say, you hens blew me away with this week's submissions. I thank each and every one of you who entered, for participating in my challenge. I get the biggest kick out of going to each of your blogs and galleries to look at all your FABBY creations!! You are ALL AMAAAAZING!! But you know the drill.... only three winners, right? Ok then, here are this week's TKT Krafty Chicks!!!

Congratulations, Priscilla, Jane and Mary Frances!!!! You are THREE KRAFTY CHICKS!!

You can click on the thumbnails above and go to each winner's blog to see the whole card and all the details too. While you're there, leave 'em a {{{hen hug}}}, ok? I know they'd LOVE to hear from da hens!!

Now for my TKT#30 card today, I've used another digital image from Hambo Stamps. This is Wee Henry Graduate. You may remember that I used Henrietta a few weeks back. A friend of mine asked me if I could make a GRAD card for a boy and his school colors were green and gold. Well, I don't think I could've done any better, do you? I LOVE this card.

I printed Henry out and colored him with my Copics. I matted him with black CS and stitched around the edges with black thread too! This DP is from Basic Grey and I picked up these individual sheets at Michaels to match the colors I needed, so I don't even think they were from the same collection, but I thought they worked together perfectly for this card. Oh, and you hens know the rules of my DH, NO RIBBON ON GUY CARDS!!.... uggggh, that's SO HARD for me!! Ok, so I settled on a button and printed this little sentiment and punched it out with my Martha Stewart tag punch instead. So there ya go, you LIKEEE? YAY!! Me too!! Be sure to leave me a cluck below, so I know you hens really do agree, k?? LOL!! Happy That's Krafty Thursday ya'll! {{{hen hugs}}}

Yeah, I'm a SENIOR...

Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! Ok, are ya still on yer perch, or did ya fall off?? OMG, when I saw this image "Stella Tidbits - Discount" over at Bugaboo Stamps, I knew it was MINE immediately!! Ya'll know me and sassy, we go together like bran muffins and TP!! ROFL!!

Whew!! Okay - okay, back to muh card!! I printed Stella and the sentiment out separately and colored Stella with my Copics. Ya know, I don't think I've mentioned this SUPER COOL feature of Bugaboo Stamps digital images before. The images that come with sentiments, like this one, come as two separate files. So you have a sentiment file and an image file. How cool is that? That way if you don't want to use the sentiment, you don't have to, or you might want to resize it and place it any where around the image to fit your layout. I SO LOVEEEE this feature!!
Alright, so I matted the image with some PTI Dark Chocolate CS and stitched around the edges and added a little sponging with chalk ink too. I even added a little silver shine to her shopping cart with my Gelly Roll metallic pen. This DP is from October Afternoon and I stitched around the edges of it as well. I tied on this cute polka dot ribbon and added the sentiment to finish. Ok, you hens have a great Wednesday and don't forget to leave a cluck below and let me know whatcha think, k? Oh - oh, one more thing.... you've still got time to submit your card for my That's Krafty Thursday challenge. The challenge closes tonight at 7:00 pm EST. Come on and play along with da hens, and get those cards linked up!!! Be sure to check back tomorrow and see who the new Krafty Chicks are!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Hope you're back on your feet again soon!

Don't ya LOVE this little turtle? But of course, I LOVE ALL my Stamping Bella stamps!! Emily has some of the cutest stamps ever!! I've been wanting to ink this little guy up for awhile now and hadn't found the opportunity until now. My MIL wanted a Get Well card so I decided to use this little guy and say, "Hope you're back on your feet again soon!" as the sentiment inside. I thought it was the perfect "pick me up" card for a friend, don't you?
I stamped my little guy onto some Choice Snow White CS and colored him with my Copics. I cut him out with my scalloped Nesties and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. I matted the image with some SU Real Red CS cut with my inverted scalloped Nesties and placed it just so the tips would peek out between the scallops. This DP is from We R Memory Keepers and I picked up from Michaels last weekend. To finish, I tied this pretty red saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and added the sentiment below. I hope you all have a SUPER DUPER Tuesday!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Hi there hens!! I won't say Happy Monday cuz my friend Meahni sez' that's an oxymoron!! Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! Ok then, did ya have a good weekend? Oooh, I did!! Spent most of it inside reading this book on my Kindle called "The Cove". My friend Karen told me about it and seriously, I can't put it down!! I wish I was a speed reader so I could hurry up find out what happens. Nah - not really, that wouldn't be any fun. I know - just be patient Jeanie!! Uggghhh!

Ok, so isn't my card today sweet???? I really LOVE this one. This is "Preggo Circle" from Stamping Bella. I stamped my image onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored it with my Copics. I cut it out with my circle Nesties and then matted it with a scalloped Nestie cut from the same CS. This DP is from October Afternoon and I stitched some eyelet lace on the bottom edge of the top panel. To finish, I added my saddle stitched ribbon tied in a sweet bubbly bow. Okee dokee, that's it for this hen today. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and don't forget to enter my That's Krafty Thursday challenge. {{{hen hugs}}}

Here comes Summer...

... but these gals aren't waiting!!! Shoot, they're already enjoying their little summer treats! A triple scoop ice cream cone, a juicy slice of watermelon AND a twin popsicle too!! SHUT UP! Now that's what I'm talkin' bout!! Yum!!
Yep, you guessed it.. today's Bellarific Friday theme is "Here comes Summer"!! Did you hens play along this Friday? Ooooh, I hope so. I LOVE to look at all those fabby creations over at Bloggabella each Friday.

Ok, so for my little summer card, I used "Turtle Tots Summer Girls" from Stamping Bella. I stamped the gals onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored them with my Copics. I added some grass at their feet trying my bestest to follow Paulabella's grass tutorial. She's SO talented!! If you'd like to see her tutorial on this technique, I've included a link to it HERE. Ok, so I matted the image with some SU Real Red CS and stitched around the edges. This DP is from October Afternoon's Fly a Kit collection and I matted it with some SU Very Vanilla punched with my Martha Stewart "Pinking Scallop" border punch along the bottom. I added the pretty red grosgrain ribbon and a little clear glaze to their treats with my SUPER DUPER NIFTY NEAT glaze pen that my sistah Paulabella sent me. Mwah! to Paulabella for sending the Chicken goodies! Ok little hens, that's it for me today, I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday and a WONDERFUL weekend! Maybe even add in a sweet treat or two!! Mmmmm - mmmm!

The Bella Babes have the next two Fridays off, as Emily enjoys her vacation abroad!! But we'll be back on the 25th using this wonderful sketch from Jodibella!! Isn't it SUPER?? It's release day at Taylored Expressions!

Oh boy, this is it, this is the day you've been waiting for.... Today is release day at Taylored Expressions and I'll be featuring my remaining two sets today. The first set I'll be featuring is called Summer Afternoon. This set was designed by Nancy McKinney. Lot's of pretty images to remind you of a gorgeous summer afternoon. For my card, I stamped the images onto some Choice Buttercream CS in Dark Chocolate ink.
Then, using my chalk inks, I sponged the sky behind them for this rich sunset. I cut the image out with my scalloped square Nesties and layered the image with alternate colors of cardstock using pop dots between the layers for LOTS of dimension. To finish, I tied some pretty grosgrain ribbon (from the Pet's Place Project Pantry) into a little bow and adhered it to the base of the flowers. Definitely a different look for me, but I really like it!

For my second card today, I used BOTH the Summer Afternoon and Care & Comfort sets. The Care & Comfort set is a set of sentiments, many of which were created to fit inside the pretty frame from the Summer Afternoon set. Definitely a great set to add to your collection! I know I'm always on the lookout for that perfect sentiment!
For this card, I stamped the Summer Afternoon frame onto some Choice Snow White CS with some Dark Chocolate ink and then stamped the sentiment inside the frame. It may not show up in the photo, but the Dark Chocolate CS has the vine from the Summer Afternoon set stamped multiple times diagonally in Versamark Ink for a nice subtle tone on tone look. I placed a horizontal piece of DP from the October Afternoon Fly a Kite collection and matted it with alternating pieces of Dark Chocolate and Snow White CS. Then I tied on this pretty satin white ribbon and finished by matting the piece with Dark Chocolate and Snow White CS and finished with little white brads in each corner. Sympathy cards are always tough for me, but I really LOVE how this turned out. Ok, I hope you've enjoyed my TE sneak peeks this week and be sure to check out all the rest of the Baker's Dozen for their final day of peeks as well. They're sure to impress!!! Happy Friday! {{{hen hugs}}}

TE Sneak Peek - Day 3

I know - I know, I'm killin' ya right? Bwah-ha-ha-ha!!! Today I'll be featuring "Hangin Out - at the Beach" from Taylored Expressions. Now, you hens know today is Thursday, so this card will play double duty and work as my That's Krafty Thursday #29 card too!! Woo-hoo!!

Now, if you hens are like me, trying on bathing suits has to be the MOST DREADED shopping event EVER!! Now, don't get me wrong, I love shopping just as much as any chick, but not for a bathing suit!! Smiley Yeah, that's me in the dressing room! LOL! So when I saw this sentiment, I thought, "isn't that a perfect wish!" I LOVE IT!! I knew right away I had to make a little card with the "itsy-bitsy-teenie-weenie yellow polka dot bikini (but not on Jeanie!)" in the set and use this sentiment with it. *snort*

I stamped my image onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored it with my Copics. I cut it out with my deckled rectangle Nesties and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. This DP is from Cosmo Cricket's Snorkle collection and I just love the bright summer colors in it. The bottom DP is actually the reverse side of the top DP, cool huh? LOVE double sided DP!! I wanted to continue with the texture look of the DP, so I ran the top DP through my Cuttlebug using the "distressed stripes" embossing folder. It looks really cute IRL!! To finish, I dug through my stash and found the perfect bright yellow grosgrain ribbon and tied it in a cute bubbly bow with a button on top!! Now what hen wouldn't love to give this to a girlfriend as a "pick me up" or "thinking of you" card? Now THAT'S KRAFTY!

So, ya wanna play along in my TKT challenge??? Just submit a card using Mr. Linky below before next Wednesday, June 9th at 7:00 pm EST. The only requirement is to use Kraft paper... that's it!! Nothing hard to it. Me LOVEEEE easy peasy!! I'll pick my THAT'S KRAFTY THURSDAY TOP THREE and post thumbnails of the winner's cards here on my blog next Thursday, June 10th. YOU might just be the next KRAFTY CHICK!!

Ok, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think of my card today and check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen for some AWESOME ideas using this set and others.

TE Sneak Peek - Day 2

Woo-hoo!! I've got another sneak peek for ya!! I know, isn't that terrible me teasing you like that?? Nah!! You can tell, I'm havin' too much fun doing it, can't ya!! LOL!! So for today, I will be featuring the "Udderly Sweet" set from Taylored Expressions. This set just cracks me up!! That lil' cuppie is one busy FARMER!! For my card, I chose the little cuppie ridin' on a John Deere tractor. OMG!! He's so stinkin' cute and that sentiment is SO ME!!

All the supplies used on my card are from the coordinating Udderly Sweet Project Pantry which can be purchased with or without the stamps.
The kit will include:
20 sheets 6x6 paper (Garden Variety)
12 sheets of cardstock
5 yards of ribbon
Vegetable and tractor brads
Candy Dots - (Red, Yellow, Spring Green)
Paper Flowers

So I stamped little cuppie onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored him with my Copics. I cut him out with my scalloped square Nesties and sponged a little chalk ink around the edges. I added some dimension by layering him with the red cardstock and then again with the Buttercream and finally with the green. I used my SU scalloped border punch along the bottom edge and cut the sentiment out with my oval Nesties, sponging the center with my chalk ink. To finish, I tied the pretty red ribbon into a cute bubbly bow, for one SUPER CUTE card. Cuppie reminds me of Oliver Douglas on Green Acres, whaddaya think? ROFL!!! LOVED that show!!

Ok, be sure to leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think. For more ideas using this set and others, check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen below. Have a great Wednesday!

TE Sneak Peek - Day 1

Hi there!! I'd like for you to meet Emily!! I don't think I've ever introduced da hens to my little baby, so in honor of today's SPECIAL sneak peek, here she is!! The one and only, SPOILED TOTALLY ROTTEN Emily!! So you're probably wondering what does Emily have to do with today's sneak peek?? Well, today the Baker's Dozen will be featuring sneak peeks from the new set "Pet's Place" so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to show you my little baby. OMG!! Wait til' you see this set. I'm such a sucker for anything with animals, and this set even has an added bonus that makes it SUPER SWEET, and I know you hens will think so too!!

Here's why... Taylored Expressions supports various charities through the TE Giving Tree Program, and a new stamp set is introduced every 3 months to support a new charity. This quarter, the TE Giving Tree Program will be supporting The Humane Society of the United States. The Humane Society of the United States is the nation's largest and most effective animal protection organization. The HSUS seeks a humane and sustainable world for all animals—a world that will also benefit people. They are America's mainstream force against cruelty, exploitation and neglect, as well as the most trusted voice extolling the human-animal bond. HSUS is also the lead disaster relief agency for animals, and they provide direct care for thousands of animals at sanctuaries and rescue facilities, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and mobile veterinary clinics. Read more about HSUS here.

Pet's Place will be available in the TE Store on Friday morning at 11 am EST. $7 from the sale of each set will be donated to HSUS. Please remember that sets in the Giving Tree Program are the same high quality deeply etched pink rubber on EZ Mount as all other TE stamp sets, however unlike other TE sets, you will need to trim these images yourself. This allows for lower production costs and more to be donated to the charity.

For my first card today, I used this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #115 and one of the cute little pooches in the Pet's Place set. Aint' he cute?? In addition, I'm also featuring the Pet's Place Project Pantry as well. This kit includes the DP from the Basic Grey Max & Whiskers collection. OMG, I SO LOVE this collection!! The colors are just so earthy and ya'll know that's right up my alley!!You can purchase the Pet's Place Project Pantry with the Pet's Place stamp set for only $44.90, or without the stamp set for $22.95. The kit includes enough supplies to make anywhere from 12-20 cards!! What a deal, not to mention helps out a great cause when you add the stamps!! Mwah to all da hens who help da lil' animals!! Woo-hoo!

Ok, so I stamped my little pooch onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored him with my Copics. I stitched around the edges of the image and the DP. I used this super cute new EK Success "Paw Print" border punch along the top and bottom of the matted image and added some brads to finish. I just LOVE how this turned out!

For my second card today, I used another image from the Pet's Place set and the Pet's Place Project Pantry too! Check out this little fish's lips and eyes!! Oh man, is he a hoot or what?? I LOVE this sentiment too! Just perfect for a thank you card, don'tcha think? Ok, so I stamped him onto the Choice Buttercream CS, colored him with my Copics, and stitched around the edges. I placed the little brads in each corner to make the image pop and finished with the ribbon and sentiment at the bottom. Ok, that's it for me today. I hope you've enjoyed my first day of sneak peeks. Be sure to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen for some more great ideas using this set and the Project Pantry too! Leave a cluck below and let me know what ya think! {{{hen hugs, oh and pet hugs too!}}}
