Happy Birthday LouLou!

Hi there hens!  Today is my good friend LouLou's birthday!  I made her this little keychain and card to match!  I was so STINKIN proud of myself!!  I just love how they both turned out.

For the keychain, I used the cute die from Papertrey Ink (see links at the bottom of this post), felt, and embroidery thread.  To make the key fob a little sturdier, I placed a piece of chipboard between the two layers.

For the card, again I used another cute die from Papertrey Ink and this cute little girl from Mama Elephant.  I thought the image and sentiment were perfect, since LouLou lives in Switzerland.  Okee dokee, that's all for me today.  I hope you hens have a great day!  {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy 11 month Birthday Jaxon!

Mornin' hens!
 Today Jaxon is 11 month's old!  OMG, I can hardly believe he's almost a year old.

I couldn't think of a theme for August so I just went with this little "hot potato" cowboy from YNS.  Tee-hee!  That's what I call him anyway.  LOL!  The inside reads, "Lasso up some fun and have a rootin' tootin' birthday!"  Love it!  I colored him with Kooh-i-noor pencils which are FABULOUS to color on kraft cardstock with.  There are several different kinds but I prefer the woodless ones.  They're so buttery smooth, and blend so nicely just by layering color over color (no Gamsol required).  Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  I hope you hens have a SUPER Saturday!  {{{hen hugs}}}

Purple Onion Designs Anniversary Sale

Mornin' hens!  Here's a little card I made with one of the cutest POD images evah! The flag is just a blank rectangle so you can design your own. How cool is that?  Since I live in the US, I made the flag resemble our flag.  Notice I said, "resemble".  LOL!  I couldn't possibly get 13 stripes or 50 stars on that little space, so I improvised.  An artist I'm NOT! {{snort!}}  You get the picture though....

Anyhoo, I stamped the images onto some Neenah Solar White CS and colored them with my Copics. Then I fussy cut the images out and paper pieced them onto the Desert Storm card base.  Using my Prismacolor pencils, I drew in some ground with grass sprigs and stamped the sentiment on the bottom right.  I drew some doodle lines around the edges and embossed some gold stars in the background.  I really love how the colors pop off the Kraft, don't you?  To finish, I rounded the two bottom corners and added a few white dots on their cheeks.  Wanna see more inspiration?  Head on over to the Purple Onion Designs blog for some AWE inspiring eye candy from their fabulous design team.

Okee dokee, that's it for me today.  I hope you hens have a GLORIOUS day!
