Spirit of Christmas

Happy Tuesday ya'll!! Here's another card I made with the newly released "Spirit of Christmas" set by Anna Wight, from Whipper Snapper Designs. This set couldn't have been more perfect for me. Remember ALL those Christmas cards I needed to get done? I've lost count on where I am but I know this set has really helped push me towards my goal. Yay!!

I wanted to try stamping this image onto some canvas and it worked perfectly. I used my Momento Tuxedo Black ink pad and colored the image with my Copics. To make the canvas a little more stiff and easier to work with, I adhered it to a piece of card stock and then frayed the edges before adding it to the card base. The card base is from We R Memory Keepers and to finish it off, I tied this SU taffeta ribbon around the bottom with a button in the middle. Simple but SUPER DUPER cute, huh?
Love it!

Leave a comment below and let me know what you think, ok? Have a great day!

  3. This is darling! Great card for this vintage-like Santa! May I ask more about the canvas? I am a cross-stitcher and wonder what kind of fabric you are using. Thanks!

  6. Hi Cheryl!
Well, my aunt gave me this canvas years ago when she cleaned out her craft room. I believe she used it for making dolls. It's an entire bolt of fabric and it's really wide and heavy too. I would think that it was meant for duffle bags and things of that sort. It's not waterproof or anything but it is somewhat stiff, almost like denim. I've cross-stitched in the past as well and it does sort of remind me of Aida cloth in weight, but it's not an open weave. Ok, I hope that helps. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me comments. I DO love to read them.

Actually, the blog banner was done by Freckled and Fun, aka Beth Silaika. I LOVE chickens and I think she did a FABBY job! Thanks SO much for the sweet comments. *double grin*
