Still on the school theme but a little break from the GRADS... LOL! I made this card as a teacher thank you. I just LOVE this big 'ol Polky Apple from Stamping Bella. I've had it for awhile but never found the right opportunity to use it until now! A teacher thank you, HELLLOOOOO???? Isn't that perfect?? I'm just so STINKIN' smart sometimes, I scare myself!! LOL!! Yeah right!!
Ok, so I stamped my apple onto some Choice Buttercream CS and colored it with my Copics. This DP is from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop collection. As you know, I so LOVE this line!! After I finished this card, I thought it reminded me of a Mary Engelbreit drawing, ya know with the checkerboard edges?? Love her style.
To finish my little thank you card, I matted the image with some SU Real Red CS and then again with the black polka dot DP cut with my large scalloped circles. I tied on some twill ribbon and finished with a red button and some black twine. I just LOVE it!! Do you?? Leave a cluck below and lemme know, ok? Mwah to all the hens who leave clucks!!
Don't forget, tonight's the deadline for my That's Krafty Thursday challenge. Come on lil' hens, get those cards linked up below on my May 20th post and you just might be the next Krafty Chick!! Woo-hoo!! Check back tomorrow for the new TKT winners!! Have a great Wednesday! {{{hen hugs}}}

ReplyDeleteWhat a great card! I love the red/black combo. Though I've never seen a polkadotted apple - this works for me. And who woulda thunk to put pink girly paper in there? Not me but this is definately a card I could see me casing. I'll give you credit though!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE this card and yes, it's very Mary Englebright-esque! I am also loving all the cards and projects I've seen made with the Thrift Store line of October Afternoon! I may have to indulge in that paper pack for myself! Hee hee! Thanks for sharing!
