Take me out to the BALL GAME....

Afternoon hens! SAY WHAT? AFTERNOON?? LOL! Gotcha didn't I? Today's a TWO-FER day! That's always fun for the hens isn't it? Today I'm featuring the Freebie Friday image from Bugaboo Stamps! Now I'm far from being a baseball fan but I bet there are lots of you who have baseball kids in your family that this image would be great for. As for me, I've decided to pair it up with some reds and blues and use this as a July 4th card. Ya know, sort of the All American, Apple Pie sorta thing. Whadaya think? Hey, works for me! Tee-hee!

Ok, so I printed my image onto some Classic Crest CS and colored it with my Copics. These little "A Kids View" images are SUPER easy to color and are just SO adorable to me. Once the image was colored, I stitched it to some SU Basic Black CS and added the three brads underneath. I tied on some gingham ribbon and adhered the image panel to this Cosmo Cricket DP with a few dimensionals. That's all there was to it! SUPER EASY and SUPER CUTE! Be sure to pop in over at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog and see some more creative ideas using this image. Oh and don't forget to pick up your FREE copy of this image (while available) over at Bugaboo Stamps!

Now before you fly the coop, I just want to let you hens know that this will be my last card as a designer with Bugaboo Stamps. I've LOVED working with this AMAZING company and Jodie is one super talented illustrator. But while this may be my LAST card as a designer, it certainly won't be my last Bugaboo Stamps card! No siree!! Can you imagine, no Stella and Gus in the hen house? NEVAH!! Tee-hee! Oh you hens will see them time and time again I'm sure! Me LOVEEE Stella and Gus! LOL! Thanks for EVERYTHING Jodie, Tammy, Rae Anne and the whole Bugaboo DT! You're the BESTEST! Mwah!

That's it from the hen house today! Have a WONDERFUL weekend! {{{hen hugs}}}

If Moms were flowers, I'd pick YOU!

Mornin' hens! Hmmmm, I bet you'll never guess who this card is for? Tee-hee! Yep, it's my Mom's Mother's Day card. I hope she likes it. She's so GOOD with plants and flowers it's not funny. I can kill a CACTUS, but she can grow ANYTHING! I certainly don't take after her in that arena! Hmmph!

As soon as I saw this new image from Stamping Bella called, "Sorry Shanna" I knew I wanted to use it for her Mother's Day card. It fits her perfectly and ME too! Yep, that looks like me as a kid, goofy tights and shoes! Always wearin' my big sister's "hand me downs"! Tee-hee! And thinkin' back, I wouldn't trade my childhood for ANYTHING!

Ok, so I started by stamping the image onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored the image with my Copics. I stitched it to some SU Really Rust and then onto some SU Sahara Sand. I added the three small brads to the bottom left and then finished by adding this taffeta ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow. That's it, not a complicated card but none the less CUTE, right? LOL! Our next Bellarific Friday challenge theme is "FLOWERS". Hmmmmm, maybe I can post this again? Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! Just kidding!! Be sure to check out the rest of the Bella Babes' creations over at Bloggabella, as well as those SUPER SISTAHS from the SISTAHOOD! Have a FABBY Friday! {{{hen hugs}}}

I adore YOU!

Hey there hens!! WOWZERS, I can't believe we've almost hit the 50 entries on my That's Krafty Thursday #50 challenge! JUST A FEW MORE..... Come on hens, make this Chicken proud and let's hit 50 before the deadline tonight! YOU CAN DO IT! I KNOW YOU CAN! You hens are the BESTEST!

So whatcha think of my card today? I'm in LUUUUUV with this little couple. This is "Arthur and Annie" from Stamping Bella. They come as a pair, cuz Arthur can't LIVE without Annie! Pffft! Helloooooo, they can't live without us? They're TOTALLY helpless! Bwah-ha-a-ha-ha! Hmmm, good thing ONLY hens read this blog huh? *snort*

Ok, so I stamped the images onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper by stamping Annie first, then masking her hair and stamped Arthur behind her. I colored them with my Copics and then stitched them to some SU Early Expresso CS.

I followed the sketch from Card Patterns Sketch 112 which worked perfectly with this image. I used this CUTE DP from Cosmo Cricket that I've had FOREVER but never found the right occasion to use it. I stamped the sentiment, also from Stamping Bella, onto some vellum and placed it over the bottom of the image and fastened it with a few mini brads. To finish, I added this pretty satin ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow and in the mail it went!! Oh, I forgot to tell you WHY I made it. Well you see, my uncle comes up to me on Saturday and says, "hey Jeanie, I need an anniversary card for your Aunt". Now I'm thinking to myself, "Um, your anniversary is in 3 DAYS!!!" Yikes! Ok, so needless to say, I was hustling to get this finished and in the mail as soon as possible, but I'm thinking it's definitely going to be a day or two LATE! Oh well, I hope HE likes the card HE gave her, and SHE likes the card SHE gets! ROFL! Aren't secrets FUN?

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. I hope you hens have a WONDERFUL Wednesday and don't forget, we only need a FEW MORE ENTRIES in the TKT #50 challenge below. Come on, LET'S GET KRAFTY!! Tee-hee!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Hop with a smile, in LCI style!

Mornin' hens! Ready to do some hoppin? Woo-hoo! Don't ya just LOVE a good 'ol hop to get yer mojo up n' runnin? Well if yer like me, yer just itchin' to get started and we've got one DANDY hop in store for you hens today! Ya see, Kerry... {Queenie - as we lovingly call her!} well she's got a BRAND SPANKIN NEW release goin' on today AND she's doin' this little BLOG HOP to celebrate!! Ooooh, and there's lots of chances to win a prize too!!
Now, if ya just happened to pop into the hen house today, be sure to start back at the beginning of the hop HERE so as not to miss ANY eye candy along the way!

But first, let's get down to the bizness at hand - the Hop!! Each of the Ladybug Crafts Ink DT will be featuring one of the new images. There are 4 new images in all and I'm sure you'll agree when you see their creations, these new images are SUH-WEET!

Now 'member them prizes I told ya 'bout? Well, here's whatcha gotta do...

1) Visit each of the DT members' blogs and leave a "cluck" on each of their blog hop posts.
2) Leave a comment on the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge Blog once you have finished the hop.
3) Display the blog hop banner above on your blog, either in a post or on your side bar.

See, easy as 1, 2, 3!!!

The First Prize is all 4 images in the new release and there are 4 runner up prizes of one new image each. Winners will be chosen at random!

The hop will close at 12pm GMT on Monday May 2nd and the winner will be announced at 9am GMT on Tuesday, May 3rd.

Ok, ya ready for muh' card??? Here ya go!!! Shoooweee, I can smell the suntan lotion from here!! LOL!

Well, I figured livin' in Florida I HAD to use the beach bag and flip flops right? I mean, are there any other kinda shoes??? LOL! (Well, not here there ain't!) So, I decided to color my bag like a woven basket with glass handles and then using my Exacto knife, cut around the flip flops so I could slide this SAND designer paper behind them so they'd look as if they were kicked off in the sand. The rest of the image was cut with my circle Nestie and I sponged a little distress ink around the edges. The sentiment comes with the set and of course, one of the COOLEST things you can do with clear stamps is BEND them.... so I bent the sentiment to match the curve of the die.

What's that? Oh yeah, that AWESOME twill ribbon, YEP that's from Ladybug Crafts Ink too! Isn't it SUPER CUTE? Oh and wait, it doesn't stop there, she sells the FELT as well! Now I admit, I've been seein' this felt on several blogs lately but hadn't tried it myself..... WELL LET ME TELL YOU, this stuff is TOO MUCH FUN! SUPER EASY to cut too! I just ran it through my Cuttlebug and it cut just like BUTTAH! LOVE IT! MUST get MORE colors NOW! Eeeek!

Okee dokee, that'll do it for this hen today. Your next stop on the hop is AMANDA and you hens better hold tight to yer perch, cuz' she's gonna BLOW YOU AWAY! {{{hen hugs}}}

It's an Easter Egg Shower!!!

LOL! Today's Catch the Bug Challenge theme is April Showers!! Well, I decided to think "outside the box" on this one and thought I'd use something besides the normal umbrella/rain images. I thought these little Easter Bunnies with their eggs looked like an Easter Egg shower to me, and fits into an April theme as well since Easter is tomorrow! Ok, so maybe I'm crazy but that was my logic for this card.... ROFL!! Hey, but it's SUPER CUTE huh? I LOVE how this card turned out. These are little block images from Bugaboo Stamps and I began by printing each of them on the same setting, so they would all be the exact same size. I colored them with my Copics to match this cute DP from MME Stella & Rose collection and then adhered them to some SU Chocolate Chip. I stitched around the edges and decided the center needed a little something. So I made this little circle phrase in Word Art and punched it out with my circle punch and added a vintage brad in the center. To finish, I added this BEE-YOO-TI-FUL satin ribbon tied in a pretty bubbly bow! Be sure to visit the Catch the Bug Challenge blog and check out all the inspiration from the rest of the DT! If you play along over at CTB, you could win some Bugaboo Stamps images of your choice! Woo-hoo!

Now ain't this a "quinky dink"? Bugaboo Stamps is sponsoring the Catered Crop FTR10 challenge!! Yippee Skippee!! That makes it a double decker challenge for this hen all rolled up into one post! With that said, here's this week's Follow The Recipe #10:

Happy Birthday Mom!

Mornin' hens! Ready for another Bellarific Friday? Today's theme was FREE FORM so there ought to be lots of ideas to get you hens in the stampin' mood! My Mom's birthday is coming up soon, so I thought I'd use Flowahbella from Stamping Bella since my Mom is BIG into flowers! Whadaya think? Think she'll like it? I hope so. I stamped Flowahbella onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Cherry Cobbler and stitched around the edges. I used some of this great October Afternoon Campfire DP which I thought made for a cheery card. I cut some coordinating pieces of DP in different shapes and matted them behind the sentiment, also from Stamping Bella. To finish, I punched a scalloped border along the bottom of the image mat and tied on this cute little polka dot ribbon. Wanna see some more ideas? Just pop on over to Bloggabella and feast your eyes on the rest of the Bella Babe's creations as well as what the Sistahood came up with. Next week's Bellarific Friday theme is Mother's Day! Yikes!! That's gonna be here before ya know it! Okee dokee hens, that's it from the hen house today! I'll see ya back in the coop bright n' early tomorrow mornin'!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy Anniversary!

Mornin' hens and Happy Wednesday to ya! Yippee, we're half way to the weekend! Do you hens have any plans for Easter? My Aunt and Uncle are having us over for a BBQ on Saturday, and the little kidlets can hunt Easter eggs too! Mmmmm-mmmm, ain't nothin' better than egg salad sandwiches after Easter is there? Tee-hee! Well, seein' that we're heading to my Aunt & Uncle's house and it just so happens that it's their anniversary too, so I thought I'd make them this little card to celebrate their special day. I believe this is their 54th. WOWZER, isn't that great!

I decided to use one of Stamping Bella's Mo in Rubbah images for my card. This is "Kisses for my Sweet". Aren't they the cutest couple? I stamped the image onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored them with my Copics. I adhered them to this DP from MME's Stella & Rose collection and stitched around the edges. To finish, I stamped the sentiment, also from Stamping Bella, and tied on this sweet taffeta ribbon and added a button on top!

Before you go, I just want to remind you of my That's Krafty Thursday #50 challenge that's still going on through next Wednesday. Come'on hens, we've gotta reach 50 entries!! YOU CAN DO IT!! I don't know why it's taken me SO long to ink it up! {uh, maybe it's cuz I've got TOO MANY stamps! Shhhhh, don't tell!} Sorta reminds me of my Momma tellin' me, "your eyes are bigger than your belly!" when I would put too much food on my plate and then couldn't eat it all!

Ok, so today's BF challenge was a sketch by Lindabella. Have you hens ever visited Linda's blog? Well, if you want to feast your eyes on the most AMAZING coloring skills you've ever seen, you've got to GO! Seriously, she will knock your little hen socks right off your feet! Shooowee, she's good!

For my card today, I chose "Best Friends Forever" from Stamping Bella. I stamped them onto some Neenah's Classic Crest CS and colored them with my Copics. I cut them out with my oval Nesties and sponged some distress ink around the edges. I adhered the image to some October Afternoon DP and then stitched around the edges. I added a few brads and finished with this saddle stitched ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow! Wanna see some more FABBY ideas using this sketch? Ok, so onto today's card.... Don'tcha LOVE this image?? Would ya look at those boobs!! SHUT UP! They look like ski slopes!! I better hush, mine'll be there soon enough! LOL! Ok, so I stamped my image from American Art Stamps onto some Neenah Classic Crest CS and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my Nesties and leaving the die in place, sponged a little ink around the edges. If you'd like to see this technique, I have a video tutorial on it HERE! I matted the image with some SU Cherry Cobbler cut with my scalloped rectangle Nesties and adhered it to this great DP from Cosmo Cricket's Mr. Campy collection. Next, I rounded the corners and stitched around the edges, and to finish, I tied this pretty twill ribbon into a cute bubbly bow! Ahhh, I just LOVE this card! Funny and sassy, that's me alright! To a GRRRReat friend!!

Mornin' hens! Hope you all had a good weekend! I sure did, nice and relaxing.... Ahhhh!!

I needed a quick birthday card for a friend of mine so I decided to ink up "Daisy Lion" from Stamping Bella and use Tony the Tiger's "grrrrr-eat" line with it! LOL! I think it turned out kinda cute, don't you? I started by digging through my paper stash and came up with Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird collection. Wow, that definitely was one of my favorite collections!! I stamped my image onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored him with my Copics. I added some shading around the edges with some distress ink and punched out the image using my Marvy Jumbo circle punch. I made the red frame by using the same punch with some SU Real Red CS and then using the Marvy Super Jumbo scalloped circle, lined up the hole inside the scalloped circle and punched out the frame. For an extra pop of red, I tied on some Baker's Twine around the bottom and added a button on top. To finish, I printed this sentiment and made a banner by folding the edges under and cutting "v's" on each end. Super simple card and cute too!

Okee dokee, that's it for me today. I hope you hens all have a TEE-RIF-FIC Tuesday and I'll see ya back in the hen house Thursday mornin! Get that Kraft CS ready, it's almost time for TKT #50! Awwwwwwk! {{{hen hugs}}}

Now where'd I hide that darn egg???

Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! OMG, that's SO ME!! I have to count them before I hide them or I'll forget one for sure! I LOVE hidin' eggs too! None of that easy "out in the open" stuff if Aunt Jeanie's hiding eggs. Ok I admit, I do give my little niece a "hotter or colder" hint, but that's it. Free Smiley Courtesy of Yeah, I'm a pushover for that cute face....

Today is the beginning of another Catch the Bug challenge. This week's challenge is 4+ layers! Can't get no easier than that for this hen! Ya'll know I LOVEEE layers. So whatcha think of Gus in his Easter Bunny suit? ROFL!! OMG, what a hoot! This is Gus - Hiding Eggs from Bugaboo Stamps. I printed Gus out onto some Neenah Classic Crest CS and colored him with my Primsacolor pencils and Copics. You can play along in this week's challenge too. One Martini, Two Martini, Three Martini....

...FLOOR!! Whew, I'd be PICKLED, let alone hit the floor! Me no drinky! Can't hold my liquor worth a flip! Here's a little story I have to share....

One day, the DH and I went for a ride on the Harley and decided to stop off for lunch. Naturally, it's hotter than blue blazes here in Florida, so I was parched! {Note: We Southerners like to drink!} So I was wantin' some good ol' sweet tea! I LOVE sweet tea {and don't give me none of that, "you can sweeten it with the sugah on the table" stuff! Nuh-uh, that ain't SWEET tea!!} Ok, so I noticed on the menu there was somethin' called Flo's Iced Tea! Hmmmmm? That's sounds interesting, I thought. So, I ordered one and slurped it down in like one swaller! Then the waitress comes back and say's, "want another tea sweetie?" I nod my head eagerly and say, "uh-huh!" So, the second one comes and I slurp down about half and then say to DH, "hey honey, taste this! It tastes sorta funny." So he takes a sip and says, "HOLY $#@!, that's got liquor in it!" And I'm like, "say WHAT?" He says, "I'm gonna have to tie you on the back of the bike with a bungie cord!" Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!! I don't remember the ride home.... *sigh* but I'm still here so it must have worked! LOL!! drunk_smiley.gif Pictures, Images and Photos

Ok-ok, back to the card.... This is Addy "tude" loves her tinis, from Stamping Bella. I stamped her onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out and adhered her to this embossed circle and added a little sparkle to her tinis and sunglasses with my Gelly Roll pen. This week's Bellarific Friday challenge was a MONOCHROMATIC theme! Definitely a challenge for me, but I do like how this turned out. Hey, did you hens get chance to check out the new release over at Stamping Bella? OMG, my wish list is getting longer and longer...... LOL!

I'm also entering this card into this week's Get Sketchy #81 challenge. Here's the sketch!

Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella and see the rest of the Bella Babes' take on this challenge as well as the sistahood! Those gals are somethin' else!!

Next week's Bellarific Friday theme is a sketch by our own Lindabella!! Ain't it a doosie? I can't wait to get started!! I hope you hens have a FABBY Friday and I'll see ya back in the hen house bright n' early tomorrow mornin'!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Va-Va-Va-Voom!! Meet Veronica!!

Shoooweee, talk about CURVES!! WOWZER, I'll say she's got some CURVES, and then some! This here's Veronica! She's part of Tuesday's new release, over at Stamping Bella. {{{*sniff-sniff* I smell new rubbah! Woo-hoo!}}}

OMG, I'm SO in LOVE with this card. I think it turned out fabulous. My hubby says, "Why didn't you color her hair a little darker?" Pfffft! He's insinuating she has MY butt and legs! WHATEVER! He better WATCH IT, he might just get a bald spot carved in the back of his head the next time I cut his hair!! I'll be like, "Whooops! Sorry honey, it just slipped!" Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!

Ok, so I stamped Veronica onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. Then I stitched her and the sentiment (which BTW comes with this image!) to some SU Basic Black CS and adhered her to this CUTE DP from Jillibean Soup.

I'm also entering this card into this week's Color Throwdown #135. I LOVE these colors, some of my favorites!

Ok, that's it for me today. Be sure to stop in over at Stamping Bella on Tuesday and check out ALL the new images in this release! I can't wait! Oh, and don't forget you've still got time to enter my That's Krafty Thursday #49 challenge. Just use Kraft cardstock on your project and enter your card on my TKT #49 post below by Wednesday at 7:00pm EST. YOU could be among those honored with the prestigious title of "KRAFTY CHICK" and can display Clara "The Krafty Chick" badge on your sidebar so everybody knows it! Nuthin' like havin' braggin' rights, huh? Tee-hee! Hope you hens are all havin' a SUPER Sunday! {{{hen hugs}}}

She has some of the CUTEST little kid images I've ever seen. This is Ethan and he's available over at Stamping Bella along with a whole bunch more. I MUST have the whole collection!! Ya'll know I'm addicted, what can I say???? LOL!

Ok, so I stamped Ethan onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored him with my Copics. Ummm, wanna guess where the paper is from? Com'on guess.... I'll give ya three guesses and the first two don't count! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!! You're RIGHT! MME Stella and Rose, how'd you know? You hens are so SMART!! Hmmmph, and here I thought you was just another purty face!! Tee-hee!

Ok, so I stitched him onto a triple mat of Prism blue, GP white and SU Real Red, and I followed Karen Giron's sketch challenge this week as well.

Here's this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch #110, except I flipped the sketch for my image.... Wanna see some more FABBY dotty cards?
