Orange you sweet!

Mornin' hens!  Isn't this card great?  Man I LOVE those oranges. This is the "Citrus Set" from Purple Onion Designs and man is it fun!  It comes with a ton of sentiments and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this CRAZY font!

This card is part of this week's Catered Crop Recipe Swap challenge.  This week's Featured Ingredient is Rick Rack! Woo-hoo!

I thought this would make a great Thank You card and you know, you can never have too many of those on hand, right?  I started by stamping a polka dot background with some Versamark ink on this Kraft CS.  Then I added this DP from My Minds Eye "Darling Dear" collection to the bottom half.
Next, I rounded the bottom corners with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper (don't know what I'd do without that thing!) and then added this fun velvet rick rack trim along the top edge of the DP.  I stamped both the slices onto some Neenah Classic Crest CS and colored them with my Copics.  That's another thing that's cool about this set, you can make the slices whatever fruit you like.  I decided on oranges (I'm a Florida girl, what can I say!) and then added some Crystal Effects for that "just sliced" juicy shine!!  I popped up the slices with a few dimensionals and added the sentiment on top, accented with a few brads.  Pretty simple but OH SO SWEET!! Be sure to check out the rest of the Catered Crop DT rick rack projects this Sunday, May 20th for the quick fire round.  {{{hen hugs}}}

"B" is for Baby Bear!

Mornin' hens!  It's time for another Catered Crop challenge!  Woo-hoo!  This week's featured ingredient is the letter "B"!  Well, I got this!!  Not only did I use this fabulous little Baby Bear from Purple Onion Designs, but I cheated and used alphabet DP too!  Bwah-ha-ha-ha!!  I know, I know.... that doesn't count right?  Tee-hee! Can't blame a girl for trying, huh?

I started my card by stamping "Olive" from Purple Onion Designs onto some Neenah Classic Crest CS and colored her with my Copics.  I cut her out with my Nestabilities and then sponged a little distress ink around the edges leaving the die in place.  I matted her with some SU Real Red CS cut with my Petite Scalloped Nestabilities and attached her to this cute DP from October Afternoon.  I finished by tying a bow with this cute ribbon I picked up at Michael's.  I'm sending this to Lil' Chick's friend Cheryl who just had the CUTEST little baby girl.  Welcome Peyton!!

Now don't forget to check out the rest of the Top Chef's over at the Catered Crop on Sunday, May 6th for the Quick Fire round.  Hmmmm, wonder what they used for the letter "B".  Only one way to find out!  {{{hen hugs}}}

Hey, and if you use Kraft paper for the brown, you can submit your card in my TKT #49 challenge too! Woo-hoo! Nothin' like puttin' my own plug in there, huh? Tee-hee!

So you say, what's left? Well, I also followed the sketch from this week's Get Sketchy #79 challenge. How cool is this? I really liked this one!
