Man, where does the time go??? Wasn't it just the first day of Fall? Good grief, it's almost Vereran's Day! I hope you hens don't get tired of Christmas cards, because that's gonna be the majority of my posts through December. Taking two months off put me WAY behind on my cards. YIKES!!
So, guess what I did this past weekend? A YARD SALE!! I know, just shoot me right? OMG, it's was a TON of work, but after the renovations, there was SO much JUNK to get rid of it wasn't funny. Now, if it was up to me, I'd have taken a front end loader and pushed that crap right out of my garage and straight to the curb as garbage, but NO.... the hubby says, "we can sell this stuff and maybe get some money for it." Hmmmph!! Sooo, we spent the whole day dealing with bargain shoppers (and I do mean BARGAIN SHOPPERS!!) but I must say, we made more than I thought we would. We made a whopping $600!! Not bad and it helped pay for some of my goodies!! Woo-hoo!! My motto before we even started the yard sale was, "it's not coming back into the house!" So with that in mind, stuff went pretty fast since I was selling it dirt cheap. My price for about 99% of everything was $1. That seemed to be the magic number for the BARGAIN SHOPEERS. LOL!! Whew, now that's done so I can finally have my garage back and we can get back to normal. Ahhhhhhh, it feels so good!!
Oh yeah, today's card, well like I said, I had to get to work on my Christmas cards so I pulled out this super cute image called, "who me" from Stamping Bella. Isn't he the cutest? I stamped my little guy onto some Bella's Bestest paper and colored him with my Copics. This DP is from My Minds Eye and came with a sheet of die cuts, so I used the snowman along side my image. I added some glitter and clear glaze to the bottom of the image to simulate snow and ice and tied on the pretty red satin ribbon to finish.
Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. Hope you all have a marvelous Monday and dont' forget to enter my TKT challenge by 7:00pm Wednesday. Who knows, you might just be the next Krafty Chick!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Can't tell you how many times I saved stuff in the garage for the intended "Garage Sale". I just hated seeing things go to a landfill when they still had a useful life...but alas when we were moving out there just wasn't time to sit for a day so it did end up at the dump. Hmpf! Your card is beautiful. I've loved this image and think he looks great next to your snowman.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Vereran's Day? I feel stupid and uninformed, lol, rofl!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute card! I love Christams.
One man's junk is another man's treasure Jeanie! I wish they did yard/garage sales here in the UK. I think people would think I was off my head if I attempted one (snobbery comes to mind lol)...and boy do I have enough 'junk' to do it. They have car boot/trunk (swap meets)sales here but I don't think there's a big enough trailer to fit all my stuff in lol.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah...flabby card lol! Love how you cut the image out. xx
This is such a sweet card Jeanie ! Love this little boy, so cute ! Glad you sold a lot of your stuff at your sale, it's nice to get rid of things your don't want any more and make a little bit of money as well ! Hugs and love from Catherine
ReplyDeleteThat was an amazing yard sale! I never move much and bring too much back in the house. That is why if it is not really junk it goes to Good Will and the rests is in the garbage!
ReplyDeleteYour card is cute. He looks like a Mo Manning image.
Have a wonderful week, hugs...
What a sweet card - love how you added the snowman! Good for you having a garage sale - I must confess I love purging stuff but no garage sale for me; thankfully I can call and give it to donations & they pick it up!!
ReplyDeleteReally cute card. Love the way you added the snowman also. Great job on the coloring. TFS
ReplyDeleteSooooo cute! I love the bow.
ReplyDeleteWow, well done making so much in your yard sale, we don't tend to get too many of those in the UK :(
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful cards and those colours are flabulous xx
I love the image and the paper.
