Happy Birthday Marsha!

Mornin' hens! You thought I was kidding about the birthdays right?  LOL!  Nope, seriously I think everyone in the DH's whole family was born in September.  {snort}

This little card is for my sister in law!!  She LOVES cats so I know she's gonna love this card.  This stamp is a Valentine's Day stamp set and the sentiment actually reads "Wishing you a purr-fect Valentine's Day" but I didn't ink up the second line and found this Happy Birthday stamp to replace it.  I think it turned out great, don't you?  I used my stitched circle dies and cut a large circle from the plaid patterned paper and then adhered the negative piece to the card base leaving the bottom portion of the card base for my image.  Then I stamped the image and sentiments directly on the card base following the curve of the paper and colored it with my Prismacolor pencils.  The top seemed a little too plain so I added a border with some striped grosgrain ribbon for some added interest.  Okee dokee, that's it for me today!  I hope you hens have a great day!  {{{hen hugs}}}

  2. I love your darling card and your SIL i know loved it for sure. I have a question. I'm so disappointed in my Martha Stewart paper trimmer blades lately and must get a new trimmer. I noticed you used the Fiskar sure Cut. I hear good and bad reviews. So do you really like it that much. What is your all time favorite? Thank so much. Celyinscatcharter charter.net

    1. Hey Cely!
      I LOVE this paper trimmer! I read the same reviews as you and decided to give it a try anyway. I had a fiskars rotary trimmer for years, which I still have, but it's rather large fort area and I wanted a smaller trimmer. I've had this trimmer for approx 6 months I think and no issues at all. Still on the original blade and NO FRAYING of the wire. I love the wire! It shows you right where the cut will be. Hope this helps!

  4. Every time I see you use kraft paper I remember how long it has been that I have been dying to try it. I have used it as the background, but never to colour on. When I see you use it and how fantastic it looks, I am dying to try it, but till this day I still have not. I love this look and the colouring on the kraft paper and your image is so cute! I really want some stitch dies too, but have to order them from somewhere overseas. Anyhow, well done with another brilliant card!
