Bellarific Fridays are baaaaa-acccck!

Woo-hoo! The Bella Babes and the sistahood are back and ready to show you hens some awe inspiring eye candy!! Today's Bellarific Friday challenge was a sketch provided by our own Bella Babe Kimabella!

Here's my take on Kim's sketch:

I'm lovin' these Little Peeps images from Stamping Bella. This one is called "Little Peep's Heart" and I colored her with my Copics and paper pieced the heart with this fabulous DP from Bo Bunny's - A Gift of Love collection. I just WUV the colors in this collection. I know, I always seem to gravitate to the neutrals and warm tones but I can't help it. That's just ME!! LOL!! Now I suppose I could have chose to complete this layout in the normal fashion by layering the oval on top, but I decided to cut the oval out of the DP and place the image panel behind, creating more of a shadow box look. Not sure if it's noticeable in the photo but I like the look of it IRL! I stamped this sentiment, also from Stamping Bella, and finished with some pretty pink ribbon in the top left corner.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Bella Babes' take on this sketch, as well as the Sistahood, over at Bloggabella. Get ready to feast your eyes on some magnificent creations. Did you know that you could win Bella Bucks just by commenting on the Bloggabella blog? Yup, just head on over and leave a comment and you're entered to win. Wanna play in next week's Bellarific Friday challenge? Come on, you could win even more Bella Bucks!!! Woo-hoo! The theme for next week's challenge is "FREE FORM"!! Easy peasy!!

Feel Better Karen!!

Eeeeeek! Ain't she just the CUUUUUTEST?? Oh my goodness, do I ever love these Pure Innocence stamps from MFT. Ummm, so why have I taken so long to ink it up? Oh I dunno.... You know how that goes, "saw it, loved it, bought it!" and then it SITS!!! Go figure??? I suppose that's why they call it an addiction huh? Bwah-ha-ha-ha!!

So anyhoo, this card is for my BESTEST friend Karen who had surgery last Friday and came through it with FLYING COLORS!! Woo-hoo!! WAY TO GO KAREN!! She's a trooper alright, not to mention my inspiration to be as good of a person as she is. She's just the nicest, kindest, most thoughtful person EVER and I'm SO glad she's my friend. Yeah-yeah I know, so what happened to me, right? Hey, I never said I was a FAST learner! Pffft!!

Ok, so I stamped the image onto some Canson Manga Fanboy CS and colored her with my Copics. I matted her with some SU Night of Navy and Very Vanilla CS cut with my oval and scalloped oval Nesties. This DP is from October Afternoon's Detours collection and I finished with some cream colored saddle stitched ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow! Thank you! (woof!)

Mornin' hens! Hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend. I did a little crafting in my coop this weekend so it was a MOST relaxing one for me. Looooove those kind of weekends.

I made this card as a little Thank You to the woman who helped us with Emily last week. She was just so nice and thoughtful, and took extra time with me and my DH. It sure meant a lot to both of us and I knew immediately, I was going to make her a card and tell her how much I appreciated her kindness.

So, I went digging through my stash of stamps and decided on this cute image called, "Woofin it up" from Stamping Bella. I stamped the image onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored it with my Copics. I cut it out with my Label Nestabilities and sponged some distress ink around the edges. This DP is from My Mind's Eye Lush Collection and I matted it with some SU Very Vanilla and Early Expresso CS. I stitched around the edges of each panel and punched the lacey bottom border with my Fiskars Border Punch. I tied some Martha Stewart twill ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and finished with a few mini brads on either side of the image. Ya think she'll like it?

Don't forget, this Friday the Bellarific Friday challenges are back. We have a sketch from our own Kimabella and boy did I LOVE workin with this one. It was definitely a challenge for me, but I LOVED the results. Come on and play along with the Bella Babes this Friday. Just email your card to emily@stampingbella.com by Thursday and you could win some cool Bella Bucks!

Hmmmm, did I hear someone say FREE Bella stamps?? Oh yeah, two lucky winners will get Bella Bucks which can be used to purchase Stamping Bella images, like this cute one. Okee dokee hens, that's it for me today. I hope you all have a MARVELOUS Monday and I'll see ya back in the hen house tomorrow mornin!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Supplies:
Rubber Stamps - Stamping Bella; CS - Bella's Bestest Paper, SU Very Vanilla & Early Expresso, Punch - Fiskars; Nestabilities; Copics; Ribbon - Martha Stewart; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo

Birthday Wishes!

Happy Friday!! Don't ya just LOVE this image. I think that little girl is TOO doggone cute! This is "Wagon full of cupcakes" from the Cupcake Cuties line over at Ladybug Crafts Ink. I stamped her onto some Canson Manga Fanboy CS and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with one of those Label dies and I sponged a little distress ink around the edges. This DP is from My Mind's Eye and I used my SU border punch along with some SU Early Expresso CS for the edging along the vertical panel. I finished with the stamped sentiment, and some SU Early Expresso satin ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow!

I'm entering this card in Jen Del Muro's sketch challenge for the month of January. Here's the sketch:

I decided to flip the sketch since my image was more horizontal than vertical. Jen's leaving her sketch up for a whole month so you've got plenty of time to enter, and she's giving away some great prizes too! So be sure to check it out.

Ok, that's it from the hen house today! I hope you hens have a FABBY Friday and a WONDERFUL weekend! {{{hen hugs}}}

That's Krafty Thursday #45

Mornin' hens!! I just have to tell you all how VERY much all your comments meant to me yesterday. I LOVED reading each and every one of them and they comforted me more than you'll ever know. Some of you even sent me photos of your little babies and I got such a kick out of those. Thank you all so much for your thoughts, stories and prayers...they made me smile! :o)

Ok, now I know you hens are all fired up for another That's Krafty Thursday challenge, right? Woo-hoo!! I sure am! I just LOVE seein' all your fabulous creations with Kraft CS. Ahhhh, all that Kraft CS does my heart good!

Ok, to get you started off with some Krafty inspiration, here's a little card I whipped up for my BRUDDER's birthday tomorrow! LOL!! I figure you can't get no better than to give your BRUDDER Gus for his birthday! Pffft! He'll probably make me PAY for this one but that's ok, it'll be worth it!!

I started by printing Gus from Bugaboo Stamps onto some Canson Manga Fanboy CS and colored him with my Copics. Isn't that sentiment a hoot? Did I mention it comes with the image? Yep, that's one more fabby thing about Bugaboo Stamps, many images have separate sentiment files that are included in the purchase price! NICE!! Ok, so after I colored him, I cut him out with my Circle Nesties and sponged around the edges with the die in place. This DP is from My Mind's Eye and I stitched around the edges and punched a cute border in between the two DP's with one of my Martha Stewart border punches. I also applied some clear glaze to Gus' glasses for a little shine on his spectacles. LOL!! To finish, I tied the saddle stitched ribbon around the DP and up through a slit I punched in the image panel and tied a cute orange button on top!

Now, this card also fits into today's Oldie But Goodie day over at the Catch the Bug Challenge blog. Be sure to check out what images the rest of the Bugaboo Stamps DT pulled out of their stash to use for today too!

Ok, now it's YOUR turn! Let's start the new year off with a BANG and have a record turnout for my That's Krafty Thursday challenge this week, k? I'm suffering from withdrawals of seein' all you hens' Krafty Kreations!!

What's that? What do you have to do to participate in my challenge? Oh that's easy - JUST USE KRAFT CS! Yup, that's it! Link your card or project below using Mr. Linky by Wednesday at 7:00pm EST, and I'll pick my TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS and post the winners on my blog next Thursday! Not to mention, you'll also receive Clara, my Krafty Chick badge to display on your blog so you can show the world, YOU are one Krafty Chick!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Love you Emily!! Always and Forever....

Today's post is a sad one, as my little Yorkie Emily has gone to be with the Lord. She passed away Monday night around 8pm. These last two days have been VERY difficult for me but I am SO thankful that God blessed me with my little baby for 14 wonderful years and even allowed me to be holding her as she took her last breath. I am so thankful that she passed away at home, in my arms.

This is my favorite photo of her. I took it right after I had given her a bath. She hated her baths but would prance around afterwards like she knew she was pretty! LOL!! She was SO much fun and SO loving. They say you don't own a Yorkie, a Yorkie owns YOU! How true that is... She had me wrapped around her little paw, that's for sure. I know my little one is in a better place now and that comforts me a great deal. I thought I share this little story with you, that my friend Cathy sent me yesterday...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that
pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our
special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food,
water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are
happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very
special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent. Her eager body
quivers. Suddenly she begins to run from the group, flying over the green
grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy
kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and
you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from
your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Author unknown...

That just warmed my heart. I'm so thankful to have such good friends and a wonderful family to help me get through this. I'm sorry to have started your day on such a sad note, but I wanted to honor my little girl with a post all her own! Love you Emily!! ALWAYS and FOREVER... Mommy xxxxxxxx

I {heart} you!

Hey there hens! I wanted to mention how thankful I was for all the sweet comments you left on my last tutorial. That was SO kind of you and truly made my day! I REALLY DO LOVE hearing from you!

Ok, now on to today's card. I decided I better get started on some of my Valentine's Day cards so I pulled out this super cute image called, "Sending you Love ", from Stamping Bella. He's just the cutest little boy ever, don'tcha think? I stamped him onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored him with my Copics. I cut him out with my square Nestabilities and sponged a little distress ink around the edges. I stitched him onto some SU Basic Black CS cut with my Big Scalloped Square Nesties and then matted him onto this cute DP from Bo Bunny. I finished with some saddle stitched ribbon and tied a pink button on top!

The next Bellarific Friday challenge will begin on January 14th so that gives you hens some time to get those cards completed and submitted to emily@stampingbella.com. The theme will be a sketch from our very own Kimabella!

I hope you hens have a TEE-RIF-FIC Tuesday and I'll see ya back in the hen house on Thursday mornin', k? You hens are gettin' ready for my next That's Krafty Thursday challenge, right? Ok, that's what I thought! Tee-hee!! See ya then!! {{{hen hugs}}}

Meet Maxine!!

Happy Monday hens! I haven't had a chance to tell ya'll about what Santa brought me for Christmas.... soooo, I thought I'd share a few photos from my Christmas morning.

After unwrapping all my presents, I was told that Santa had left my BIG gift upstairs in my new coop. Hmmmm? Wonder what it could be??? (Uh, I'm not one of those people who are delicate about the wrapping paper. I'm a ripper-upper! Skip that prissy stuff, I wanna see what's in the box!!) LOL!!

Eeeeek!! It's an iMac!! My dream come true!! I was just a wee bit EXCITED!! Pfffft!! More like "ready to pee my pants" excited!! Last Spring, my PC crashed and since then, I've been operating on a wing and a prayer. So, I had been begging for a new computer but I didn't want another PC!! I wanted a MAC!! Needless to say, I'm in LUUUUUV with Santa!! xoxoxoxo What girl doesn't love a man bearing gifts? Hmmm?

So in honor of my new baby Maxine (yes, that's her name!) I made a little something for my desk! You know how you always get those "not so attractive" bank calendars for your desk, right? Well, I thought I'd gussy one of them up and this image of "Crabby Cathy" from Bugaboo Stamps was just PERFECT for the occasion!! LOL!! Oh, I SO agree Cathy!!

Not to mention, this little project will fit right in to today's ABC (Anything But a Card) Monday over at the Catch the Bug Challenge blog! I just love how this turned out, and it looks so STINKIN cute beside Maxine! She's grinning too, I can tell ya know. LOL! This little project was super simple to make too. Just a few pieces of CS and DP adhered to the top part of the calendar and I finished with a bubbly bow tied with this pretty aqua saddle stitched ribbon. Now I'm all ready for the new year ahead! Woo-hoo! Be sure to stop in over at the Catch the Bug Challenge blog for some more ABC ideas from the Bugaboo Stamps DT. They always come up with the neatest things!

Okee dokee, that's it from the hen house today. I hope you hens have a MARVELOUS Monday and I'll see ya back here bright n' early tomorrow mornin! {{{hen hugs}}}

Happy New Year!

Hey hens!! Did you all have a FABBY evening? Me and my DH stayed home and watched the ball drop. I love that! We had lot's of goodies to eat since this is my last "hoorah" as the 'ol diet starts today! Hmmmph!

So after a crazy night, I thought Stella would be the perfect image for today since most of us will be needing a cup of coffee, huh? LOL!! I just love how this card turned out, don't you?

I stamped "Stella has her fix" onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my oval Nesties and sponged some Distress Ink around the edges. I matted her with the same CS cut with my scalloped oval Nesties and used a few SU dimensionals in between. This DP is from October Afternoon's Modern Homemaker collection and I just love these reds and blues in it. I finished with a few brads and some twill tape tied in a cute bubbly bow with a red button on top.

Okee dokee hens, that's it for me today. I'm off to soak my beans since we're having bean soup today for GOOD LUCK! I hope you all have a wonderful New Year filled with many blessings! {{{hen hugs}}}

Joy to the World!!

Hi hens! It's time for another Bellarific Friday!! I look forward to this day each and every week, don't you?? I just love lookin' at all the eye candy over at Bloggabella from my fellow Bella Babes and the sistahood too! Now there is one talented bunch of ladies, I must say!!

Today's Bellarific Friday theme was a sketch from our own Paulineabella and what a doosie it was! Man, I LOVED this sketch!! Definitely a keeper for me!

I needed one last Christmas card to complete my list this year and decided on using this great stamp called "the Choir with a star on top" from Stamping Bella. I stamped this image and the sentiment (which comes with the stamp) onto Bella's Bestest Paper in cream and colored the image with my Copics. I stitched around the edges and sponged a little distress ink around them too! This DP is from the Fancy Pants Hot Chocolate collection and I matted it with some SU Cherry Cobbler. I used my SU border punch along the vertical edge and tied the sentiment panel on with some SU ribbon. You know me, ribbon is a MUST! To finish, I added some glitter to the star with a little Glamour Dust and that's it for this year's Christmas cards!! Woo-hoo!! I hope you've enjoyed them!

Okee dokee, well that's it from the hen house today. Be sure to pop over to Bloggabella and check out all the great ideas using Paulineabella's sketch and the next Bellarific Friday will be January 14th as the Bella Babes have the next few Friday's off to enjoy the holidays with our LOVED ones! That's Krafty Thursday #44

Hiya hens!! Did ya miss me?? Sorry for the slow posting this week but like the Magician on Frosty the Snowman says, I've been "bizzeee, bizzeee, bizzeee!" I'm sure you hens can relate, right? Just when you think you can take a breather and RELAX, you realize there's something else you've forgotten to do! YIKES!! But ya know what, I wouldn't have it any other way! I just LOVE Christmas!

Well today is Thursday and ya know what that means.... Yup, it's That's Krafty Thursday and time for another challenge. Now I know you hens are gonna be SUPER bizzzzeee this week too, so this might just give you the PERFECT opportunity to take that MUCH NEEDED break and do some therapeutic COLORING! I don't know about you, but coloring is so relaxing to me. So if ya get a chance to squeeze a card into your bizzeee schedule (or whatever kind of project you feel like doing), make sure you add some Kraft CS to it and enter it in my challenge this week. That's all the criteria I ask for - use Kraft CS! Super simple huh? Just link it below using Mr. Linky by Wednesday the 22nd at 7:00pm EST, and I'll pick my TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS and post the winning projects next Thursday. I can't wait to see what the hens are gonna make this week. You know I LOVE lookin' at your creations!

Ok, to get you started I put together a little card for you, to get your MOJO up and running. I used "Little Peeps Flower Vase" by Stamping Bella. I stamped her onto some Bella's Bestest Paper in cream and colored her with my Copics. The card base is SU Kraft CS and this DP is a new collection I just received from My Minds Eye. Ain't it cute?? I matted the image with some SU Basic Black and stitched around the edges. I also sponged a little distress ink around the image panel and the DP edges too! To finish, I stamped the sentiment from the "Hugs and Kisses" stamp and punched out just the word HUGS and attached it to the bubbly bow with a jump ring at the top. I just LOVE how this turned out!

That's it from the hen house today. I hope you hens all have a TEE-RIFIC Thursday and I'll see ya back in the coop first thing in the mornin'! {{{hen hugs}}}

Just for you...

Hey hens!! TGIBF!! Yup, it's time for another Bellarific Friday. Woo-hoo!! This week's theme was a gift or gift card holder, etc. Well, seein' I had such fun with the last one I made, I just HAD to try another. This time I used "Tangled Stella" from Stamping Bella. I stamped her onto some Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. I cut her out with my circle Nestabilities and sponged some Distress Ink around the edges with the die in place. I used the same pattern as before for the gift card holder and added this DP from the Bella Road Wintertime collection. You can find the gift card holder pattern HERE. To finish, I added a little Basic Grey magnet closure and this pretty satin cream ribbon tied in a cute bubbly bow!

Don't forget da teacher this Christmas!!

Hey hens! Happy Tuesday to ya! So, my hairdresser asked if I could make a Christmas card for her daughter's elementary school teacher and without hesitation I said, "sure!" But then I thought, "Uhhhh, what image do I use for that?" Well, why not "teachabella" from Stamping Bella I thought! And I must say, I think I was RIGHT ON! Don't you? I just LOVE this card! I wish I was a teacher and then I could give it to myself! Hmmmph!

Ok, so I stamped "teachabella" onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored her with my Copics. This DP is from Fancy Pants' "Hot Chocolate" collection and it has some really pretty colors in it. I paired it with some SU Very Vanilla & Real Red CS and sponged some distress ink around the edges. I cut the image out with my Nesties and sponged the same ink around the edges of it, as well. To finish, I tied this pretty red satin ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and there ya have a card for one LUCKY CLUCKY teacher! Awwwwwk!

Now before I leave ya today, I just wanted to remind you of my That's Krafty Thursday sketch challenge. The deadline for submission is tomorrow at 7:00pm EST. Just link your card using Mr. Linky on the bottom of my December 2nd post and YOU could be the next Krafty Chick! Woo-hoo!

Have a Tee-riffic Tuesday! {{{hen hugs}}}

We're havin' a HEAT WAVE...

Oh, wait a minute.... that's not today's theme! Hmmmm??? What was the theme for today's Bellarific Friday again??? Gosh, I wouldn't know, CUZ' IT'S SO STINKIN HOT here in Florida, my brain is FRIED!! 1sm223thirst Pictures, Images and Photos Ok-ok, yeah I remember what the theme was, "SNOW". Pffft! WHATEVER!! I can only wish for that, but at least it's fun to look at here on my card, even if I'll NEVER actually see it here!

So for my card today I chose to use "Snowman Circle" from Stamping Bella. I stamped him onto some of Bella's Bestest Paper and colored him with my Copics. Just to add a little ICY shimmer, I added some Glamour Dust to the image as well. Next, I cut him out with my Nestabilities circle and matted him with the BIG scalloped circle cut from SU's Soft Suede CS. I adhered the image to this cute DP from My Minds Eye and stitched around the edges. For the tree panel on the bottom, I matted the DP with some SU Soft Suede CS and used my SU border punch along the bottom edge. To finish, I tied this polka dot ribbon into a cute bubbly bow and there ya have one COOL card!

Wanna play along with the Bella Babes in next week's Bellarific Friday challenge? Yay!! The theme for next week is "Giftabella". Just make a gift or giftcard using a Stamping Bella image and email your card to emily@stampingbella.com by next Thursday for a chance to win some cool Bella Bucks.

Now be sure to hop on over to Bloggabella and see what the rest of the Bella Babes and sistahood came up with for today's COOL theme and stop back in tomorrow for a special post from the hen house! {{{hen hugs}}}

That's Krafty Thursday #43

Hey hens!! Happy Thursday to ya! But of course you know that Thursdays are SPECIAL here in the hen house, right? Sure they are, that's cuz Thursdays mean it's time for another THAT'S KRAFTY THURSDAY challenge!! But instead of a Kraft CS challenge this week, how 'bout a TKT sketch challenge instead? You hens up for it?
Ok, here's the sketch:

Wanna play along? Just make a card using this sketch and any 'ol stamp you like. Submit your entry by linking it below using Mr. Linky by Wednesday, December 8th at 7:00pm. I'll pick my TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS from all the submissions and display your card on my blog, December 9th. The TOP THREE KRAFTY CHICKS will also receive my Clara, The Krafty Chick badge for their blog. Woo-hoo! Clara's UBER cool too! LOL!

Ok, so that's the deets for the TKT challenge this week. Want some inspiration to get you started? Ok, one card comin' up!! Here's my take on this week's sketch challenge...

Isn't this little fella adorable? This is "Elmer" from Stamping Bella. I think he's just SO STINKIN CUTE!! He-he!! I stamped him onto some Bella's Bestest Paper, paper pieced his shirt, and colored the rest of him with my Copics. I stitched him to some rust colored Prisma CS and adhered the image to this cute DP from BoBunny. To finish, I stamped the sentiment, also from Stamping Bella, and added the three brads in the top left corner. Whatcha think? You likeee? Leave me a cluck below and lemme know, k?

Now I know most of you hens get bored after the first paragraph or so, so for those of you who are still with me, I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. Needless to say, I'm kinda embarassed but I'm just gonna blame it on the L-tryptophan in the turkey, cuz it certainly isn't cuz I'm OLD!! (ok, no quacks about that!) Pfffft!

Here's what happened... I made my cards for this week's posts and after I'm all done and I've taken all the photos, it dawns on me that I DIDN'T USE ANY KRAFT CS ON TODAY's CARD!!! Uh, hellooooooo??? What a spaz!! Ok, so I'm super sorry about that, I know it's gotta be that L-tripto stuff workin' on my lil' chicken brain... Hmmmph!! Oh well, I really liked today's card any ol' way, so I decided rather than passing up a TKT challenge, we'd do somethin' a little different this week... tee-hee!! And now you know the REST of the story.... LOL!! {{{hen hugs}}}
