Woo-hoo!! It's Bellarific Friday!! I get so excited on Bellarific Fridays. I LOVE seeing all the eye candy over at Bloggabella. The Bella Babes and the sistahood are always AMAAAAZING!
Today's theme was SQUARE CARDS!! Ok, that's easy peasy for the Chicken!! I LOVE a square card base. For those of you've who've ever wondered what size my square cards are, I always make a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. Mostly because I only buy 8 1/2 x 11 CS so this size works best for me. The great thing about square cards is, you have LOTS of ROOM!! Sometimes an A2 card just doesn't allow enough room to view all the elements of an interesting layout or sometimes it's just too little for the image itself!! This image, "the BIG GUY golfing" from Stamping Bella is one of those! But it works perfectly on a square card and yet still allows room to view the layout too! I stamped the image and colored him with my Copics. I stitched this DP to some blue DCWV CS and then adhered it with a few dimensionals to the next layer and stitched around the edges. I tied on this pretty baby blue saddle stitched ribbon, but only tied it in a simple knot!! You know the drill - NO RIBBON ON GUY CARDS!! Ugggh! Too bad.... although it would've been better with a bubbly bow!!! Hmmph!!!
Okee dokee, that's it for me today. Be sure to leave a cluck below and lemme know whatcha think! Next week's Bellarific Friday theme is "Huggabugs". Oooooh, I LOVEEEE da huggabuggs!! Yay!! Have a FABULOUS FRIDAY and a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!! {{{hen hugs}}}

LOVE this !!!
ReplyDeletei'm missing the babes, but i sure still am enjoying the eye candy!
Love the Big Guy card. I have not made any square cards! Just cut paper in 1/2 fold and have an A2 size card. Better try the 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 size. I do have lots of bigger images and find it fruserating that they take up the WHOLE card. Thanks for waking me up, DUH.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the July 4th weekend. Hugs...
What a cute guy!
ReplyDeleteCute card. Love the papers, and the ribbon looks good with those colors. TFS
ReplyDeleteHe's a perfect golfing guy - seriously I see a lot just like him when I'm on the course!! I love square cards too - almost prefer them! Have a great long weekend
ReplyDeleteThis is just awesome! I love the colors and who would have thought that your girly paper would look perfect on a male card? I'm amazed but this totally caught my eye!
ReplyDeleteLove this colour combo, and you coloured him oh so classy! Fabulous card my oh so talented friend.
ReplyDeleteLove the big guy!! How fun! I agree A2 cards are too small! I have some great envelopes that are 6x6!! Ha! I can get really creative :-)
