Ready for another Catch the Bug Challenge?

Hey there lil' hens. Are ya enjoying your weekend? I'm headed off to a birthday party but I wanted to pop in the hen house first and let you know what this week's Catch the Bug challenge is. Oh yeah, we're gonna make you work for this one... LOL!! This week's challenge is a 2 parter!! The theme is April Showers, but the key is WATER!

PLUS, Scrappy has come up with a sketch to use as well. WOWZER!! See, I told ya you were gonna have to work for this one! hehe!!

Ok, so for my card I decided to jump outta the box and went with a beach theme! Woo-hoo! Perfect for a Florida girl huh? Isn't GUS a hoot? Man I LOVE this image. It's definitely one of my FAVORITES! I printed Gus onto some SU Very Vanilla CS and colored him with my Copics. I cut him out with my Deckled Nestie and sponged some chalk ink around the edges. This DP is from the K & Company "Summer Travel" collection. Don't ya love those fish lookin' at Gus? Bwah-ha-ha-ha! They're probably thinkin', "Whoa Dude, put some clothes on!"

I printed the sentiment and punched it out with my circle punch and matted it with the SU Soft Suede. The card base is SU Soft Suede as well and I finished by adding some Glossy Accents to Gus' glasses and then tied this yellow saddle stitched ribbon into a cute bubbly bow! Ok, are ya ready to give it a try?? Come on and play along.... Who knows, you might even win some FREE images from Bugaboo Stamps!! Woo-hoo! Can't beat that!! Be sure to check out all the details over at the Catch the Bug Challenge blog. Have a great weekend! {{{hen hugs}}}

Supplies:
Digital Image - Bugaboo Stamps; DP - K & Company; CS - SU Soft Suede & Very Vanilla; Ribbon - Papertrey Ink; Glossy Accents; Nestabilities; Copics

  5. While I'll be the first to admit that your card is darn near perfect Jeanie, Gus seriously needs to change out of that banana hammock into some board shorts or something. . .;)Love, love, love your work Jeanie! MWAH!

  6. It's a lie - you can't wear what you want just because you are old - though I can see my husband saying the same thing when he is that old!!! Thankfully, he has me to help edit his choices! Very funny card. Love that you chose red for the bathing suit!
